Huge fan of Ise Automotive. They are so kind, honest and patient any time I go in. Price for an oil change is super reasonable. I came in with a question and he looked my car over, gave me a tire referral, filled my wiper fluid and tires no charge. You just don't find this kind of care these days!! Go to Ise!!!

I have been going to ISE Automotive repair since the 70’s. I started my business with Craig and Gary’s father, ISAMU "ISE" KUROMI. I have never met another man who was so kind, honest, and very knowledgeable regarding automotive repair. Just as you go to a doctor for your health care. I always thought of Ise as my doctor for my car. Guess work is never part of repairs. Return trips to address the same issue is never my experience. Ise, Craig and Gary have always greeted me with a sense of family. You will never find another business so reputable. This shop is the last of its kind. It is my pleasure doing business with ISE Automotive. Simply the best!!

I lived in NYC all my life so never had a car until a few years ago, and dealing with car maintenance has been a bit of a learning curve. First, I had no idea that dealership repair shops were wildly overpriced and given to aggressive up-selling. After a particularly bad experience, a friend recommended Craig to me, and since he was the first non-dealer mechanic I went to, I just assumed mechanics were like him—straightforward, well-priced, honest about what needed to be repaired and what did not. When I moved to Pasadena, I figured I’d just find someone nearby like Craig. Foolish. After getting advice from a few friends about it (“If you find an honest mechanic, you make the drive”), I’m back to Craig. Guy is a total mensch. The story of the the shop is super cool too.

It’s not often you find businesses who put qualities like honestly, integrity first nowadays. So on the rare occasion you run across one, I find it important to sing their praises. I’m not going to ramble (much more) about the history I learned about this place, how it’s been a family business for generations, and how Craig takes the time to speak with everyone without them feeling rushed or not completely clear on what’s happening with their vehicle and what it needs. They won’t push you into unnecessary work, their prices are incredible fair, and they got my vehicle back to me the same day, so yeah, fast too. I hope I won’t have to be back soon (because that means something is wrong with my truck), but I know when I do, I won’t have any anxiety about bringing it back here. My guess is you won’t either.

Service was very friendly and professional. My 2017 Acura MDX had all kinds of weird error codes but was running perfectly. He showed me the error code for reference and reset my computer. He was very honest and that is the most important thing a mechanic can be! Highly recommend.

Very helpful and dedicated mechanic. After being referred by a friend who has lived in the area for many years and taken many cars here, I called about a broken wheel-lock removal. The shop promptly answered the call, even though I could hear many other phones ringing in the background. Although he said he was booked for 3 solid weeks, the person answering the phone took the time to listen to my description of the problem, think a moment, and thoroughly explain two very good suggestions I could try to complete myself. He also recommended me to a nearby shop he trusted — AND gave me their number. Helpful, dedicated customer service and a quick response time (even not to make money) — I can see why they’ve been trusted in the neighborhood for many years. 5 stars.

The ABSOLUTE BEST mechanic (Craig) and team in Los Angeles. This is a place you can trust. I have come to Craig with car issues large and small and he ALWAYS tells the truth and NEVER upsells for things I don't need. It is a rare and valuable thing to have such confidence in ANY vendor, let alone an auto mechanic. I could not recommend ISE Automotive more highly - they deserve all the stars available!

I haven't gotten anything done with my car here yet but honestly was so pleased with just a phone call that I have to bump up the rating. I called when Craig was unexpectedly out for a month, and he still made sure to call back 2 weeks later. Though he could have encouraged me to come in for something that was unnecessary (because of the my model year), he was very honest and suggested I didn't really need to, but would install if I really wanted it. Then he spent time giving me info and resources about my specific model. I'm now recommending him to my friend and will definitely come to ISE for anything I need in the future, based on that and all the other reviews on Google and FB that rave about their great work. If you google their garage, an article even comes up where he is listed in the "Best Honorable Engine Men/Women" list. Can't ask for better than that.

I've always had a great experience at ISE Automotive. They are a no-nonsense, honest establishment that are not the type to try to up-sell you on repairs you don't need or change you an exorbitant price for anything. I'd recommend them over any dealership I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

I have always been more than satisfied with their excellent service and fair prices. I went in for an oil and filter change last week and was surprised to see that Craig and Gary now have some of the blue, ear-loop, anti-Covid 19 procedure masks for sale for incredible pricing. $15 for a box of 50 masks! I was so surprised that a small auto repair shop could sell Personal Protective Equipment and such low prices that I had to ask, "How can you sell these at such low prices?" Craig explained that one of their satisfied customers is a big, well established importer of Personal Protection Equipment and this importer gave them container-volume-pricing on masks which he is passing along to his customers. He said that this is his way of helping the community during the pandemic. What a great way to pay-it-forward! These guys are awesome!
