A friend recommended Ken as I was sick of driving to the suburbs to the car dealership for maintenance on my car. Ken and his team are always honest and straightforward, and never upsell you on unnecessary maintenance. I would highly recommend the A&A team!

Highly recommend. Honest, affordable, solid work -- been going for years now. Owner, Ken, once teased me when I asked if I needed anything else fixed -- he said "You trying to give me more money? Come back when something breaks." Another time, he fixed an exhaust problem for no charge in between a more major repair we were waiting on parts for. Old school mechanic -- go here, not the dealer.

Ken is the best! I got a sudden flat tire on my way to work and happened to have been driving by his shop. I called and told him my situation and he got me in immediately. My tire was plugged & repaired by the end of the day and he only charged me $20! Customer service was fantastic and I gave him a call today to ask about windshield repair recommendations as I know his honesty & experience is hard to find in the city. 10/10 recommend!

I'm writing a review about a year/year and a half after service on my car. Initially, after getting the car fixed, I was happy, things seemed to be running smoothly. I got my rotors, brake pads, and oil pan replaced. About 3ish months after service, my brakes started to fail. I took it to 2 separate mechanics who told me the work done was sloppy because whoever installed the new brake pads, broke a piece of the caliper. Both mechanics told me whoever installed it would have known the piece was broken and installed it anyway. Essentially due to the caliper being busted, the pads rubs in a strange way and actually broke the pad in two. The second fix was the oil pan. A year/year and a half later, the oil pan gasket has failed and now I need a new oil pan gasket. Either this shop used a faulty gasket or they used the old gasket, because it looks in pretty bad shape AND an oil pan gasket should not fail after a year and a half. I've had my car for 11 years. Don't know what to say except for be careful, get the work checked out, and make sure you keep those receipts somewhere convenient.

We had incredibly rude service here. I called and scheduled an appointment with Ken for two days later. He told us to drop off our car between 7am and 9:30am. When my husband took the car at the time Ken told us to, he yelled at my husband for coming into his shop and said he wouldn’t take our car because he was already full, despite him telling us to bring the car that day.

Came here because of good reviews - I recommend you do the same. Straightforward guys (do not mistake for being rude, they are super kind!!!) and so honest about their prices and work. Cannot recommend enough- took two cars in and was recommend service on just one (my previous mechanic also recommended it) and it just validated their expertise and that they will not just try to sell you just cause!!!

The owner/operator is so genuine never trying to extort more money will casually recommend some place more affordable. That's what makes this place feel like you're not getting extorted. Came here for an oil change left here paying for an oil change.

Called first thing on a Monday. Brought my car in and problem was fixed by end of day. Ken is a great guy (even has some jokes!) and was upfront with me about what next steps were to keep my car alive for a little longer and the cost. Glad to have found a trustworthy mechanic nearby!

Great place! I took my car in a few weeks ago to get an oil change. They did a great job. Earlier this week my alternator went out and Ken went above and beyond to get it fixed in a timely matter. Even waited after hours for the tow truck to get there. Very pleased with my experience at A & A.

It's hard to find an honest mechanic you trust. I worked in a shop for 10 years and these guys have always taken care of me. They've never tried to sell me on stuff I didn't need and they have always been so great with their pricing. The owner is a stand up guy and has gone out of his way to help me out with my car trouble.

I was in Chicago for birthday celebrations when suddenly my tire went flat because of a lower balljoint axle that broke. I had no one to help me out and other places wanted to charge me an arm and leg to do this fix. I called A&A and Ken understood the situation and said to drop it off and he’d take a look at it. Less than 5 hours later “your car is ready!”. I was more than just relieved that I could go back home in time, I was so happy. The service and quality from this establishment was impeccable. 100% recommend.
