I wish I had found this place sooner. After a week of disappointing experiences at other shops I finally found one that sets and keeps expectations. People that act as if they want to be talking to you. They even went above and beyond to try to mitigate the problems caused by another shop. Do yourself a favor and give AC Auto Repairs a chance to win you over too.

Love this place! Great work and fast. They accidentally gave me synthetic oil when I had booked a regular oil change and still only charged me for regular oil. Super friendly honest and knowledgeable crew over there

These guys deserve all 5 stars. They were able to fit me in the same day I called, provided complete and excellent customer service, and recognized me with a smile when I came to pick it up, also that same day. They conduct their business with 100% integrity and professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone

Been going here for years for oil changes, inspections, brakes and other maintenance. They do great work and great pricing. They don’t play any games and are straight forward. I recommend them to all my friends in the area. Sent my fiancé there to get her car looked at and they were super accommodating/friendly on a busy day and last minute. The guys are super nice and great to talk with.

Bought a new-to-me car a few days ago and took it to AC Auto Repairs for a good once-over to see if there were any issues that needed attention. Was told that the whole thing looked great, and there was no pressure to upsell on an oil/filter change or tire alignment etc (which I already knew it didn't need, but most importantly, they told me that without me asking). They did identify some rust on the muffler, but referred me to a specialist rather to get that dealt with, rather than trying to do it in-house which i was also impressed with. After my experience today, I definitely will be back, and will be recommending friends to do so too. 11/10 service. Couldn't recommend more highly.

I got a catalytic converter replaced and it took 2 1/2 months. When it was finally done, it made a weird noise but the mechanic assured me they took time to break in. A few months later, the engine kept overheating. I took it back and told them that one of the coolant reservoirs were empty. The mechanic assured me that this was the backup reservoir and was supposed to be empty (wrong). They couldn't find the problem so I took it to the dealership. The dealership said the fluids were never filled after replacing the converter, which was still making noise and needed to be fixed. All in all it cost me $500 to redo their work. Also my brother had his car stolen from their lot.

I live nearby and randomly went to A C Auto Repairs for an inspection. They were so cool that I went back for various repairs, oil changes, and a set of new tires. They were friendly and straightforward, and I really appreciate their presence in Fishtown. I talked most often to Philip and John, but everyone there was great.

My car was giving me trouble then randomly stopped a few feet from their shop. They were quick to help me move my car and check it out. They even drove it around the block start it started again to make sure I was ok to drive it again. They didn’t even ask for compensation or try to sell me on something unnecessary. So helpful and friendly.

Some of the best service I've received from a garage. A week before our family vacation, I discovered the van we borrowed had a battery charge issue. Four days before we left, I got it into the shop. Then I missed their call with the diagnosis. When I called back a day later, they told me it was an alternator issue, $700-$800. I called the owner to figure out what to do. Another day passed. Finally, with less than 48 hours to departure with no good alternatives, we decided to do the repair ourselves. I called A.C. Auto to tell them to order the part. “I'm one step ahead of you,” Phillip told me. When I heard you were going on vacation, I ordered the part, he said. “I thought, worst case scenario for me, I have to send a part back. Worst case for you, you miss your vacation.” The alternator came in that same day and the van was up and running by that evening. They refused payment until we had driven out of state and back, but there were no issues. The bill was less than they quoted.
