I took my truck to tony to replace the input seal on my rear differential...big mistake. Because he failed to properly put the diff back the right way a loud whine developed. I took it back to him for diagnosis not knowing it was the differential at that time. Miss diagnosis after miss diagnosis he denied it was the rear end. But he rebuilt it without asking me then charged me $2200. The whine still didn't go away and said it's road noise from my tires. I took it to stellar auto across the street and they identified it as the rear end and that's because it wasn't set up correctly. Tony did give me $1500 back...but now I have to spend $2700 on a proper rebuild. So I'm out $3600 including the $200 I paid him initially to replace the diff input seal that probably turns out to be how he screwed up my rear diff in the first place. Yes...you got that right...tony broke my truck and now I'm paying another shop to fix it. Grand total of $3600. Should've known a shop with no lifts was incompetent. Don't go to this guy!!!!! He admitted his fault and apologized...but refused to make it right even after I threatened a negative review on Google.

went in to get my brakes changed. this guy and his mechanics end up breaking my radiator fan and then try to charge me for it lol. don’t go here!

I had an issue stemming from some work way up in northern Washington. I limped my forester here because it was the closest shop to me. They diagnosed the issue and didn't even charge me! Thanks guys. I had to take it somewhere else because of an in-network thing with O'Reilly's but I appreciate you not charging me for your time. You're the best.

This is a fantastic auto repair shop! The service, the quality, the people, all great! I had a wonderful experience when they replaced my brakes (both sets) and did a full service on my car. Very friendly and honest! They even have financing options if needed. I will definitely be going back for ALL my service needs!

Tony is always very knowledgeable, and conscious when it comes to his clients. Girls, he always helps me when I stopped by with some problems with my car. For example, light went off, he replaced it immediately, or when I notice something different in my car, a sound, or smell, you know what I am talking about. I do not know the mechanic terminology, but I know that something is not going well with my car. He right away check, and try to fix it at that moment. I really recommend him, and his employee, they do really the hard blessed work!!!

If you are looking for a reliable, honest, and talented mechanic, Tony Vu is your guy. I have an older car that needed a new starter. It would not drive and I was getting quotes that it would cost over $600 to fix. Tony got me in and fixed the problem (and others I didn't even know about) for half the price I was quoted for from other shops. He took extra time to discuss the mechanics behind the issues and obviously takes a lot of pride in his job (he started his business in the '80s and has become a Portland staple ever since). He is a father of two daughters, and feels very strongly about protecting the elderly and women from being taken advantage of from dishonest shops. This is my first time dealing with car troubles by myself and I have very limited car knowledge. He treated me with respect and understood that I was on a budget. I genuinely could not recommend him highly enough. Thanks for all your hard work, Tony!

This is the first time I've reviewed a company on Google but I felt like it had to be done, Tony is just that good. Extremely fast, knowledgeable, and fair, I wouldn't consider taking my car to anybody else in the Portland area. 5 stars and I'd give more if I could.

You will not meet a more honest mechanic. Tony, the owner, is the kindest mechanic I've ever delt with. He cares about his customer and the quality of his work. I won't take my cars anywhere else. High end cars, used cars, they all go to Tony. If he can do the work at his shop it goes there.

Absolutely fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and great energy. Got me in an emergency situation and it was still same day service. High five to that amazing service! 😊 Cheaper than the initial quote as he quoted the worst case scenario. Tony was transparent about the work being done and how much parts / labor would cost, explaining coherently and openly. Very grateful to Tony & Hàn. Much respect. 5 stars indeed

Absolutely outstanding service. Not only did Tony replace my headlight and diagnose/replace my starter in 2 days from the time I towed it to the shop, this is by far one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Could not recommend more highly.

Tony is the best, my gear shift wasn't responding, and he fixed my car quickly and saved me around $350 on the repairs. He also replaced my broken door handle without me asking and didn't charge me extra. He's polite and friendly, and helped me back my car out of the shop when I was leaving (rush hour). Will bring my car here for any other car issues i have!

Tony is not only a fabulous mechanic who hasn't ripped us off or tried to up sell but...he is a wonderful person, a patriot,fast, will squeeze you in if it's an emergency when ever possible, really fair prices & he is wide awake & not a zombie slave. We had a great experience here. They squeezed us in last minute on a Saturday to inspect a used car we were thinking of buying. I'm so glad we took it in! The mechanic here called out multiple major issues with the vehicle, and probably saved us from a few thousand in repair bills - all for the cost of a very reasonably priced inspection. So glad we found this place. Thorough and knowledgeable. Totally recommend.

A couple weeks ago, my RPMs were higher upon a cold start and weren't coming down the way I was accustomed to. Apparently it's within the range of normal. I didn't know this, and could have been charged a lot of money for random fixes.
