My first encounter with A1 auto was getting a water pump repair July/aug. They were way more affordable than the dealership and my vehicle was done the same day. They even caught another issue that I was able to get done the same day at little cost due to the repair work they were already doing. I came to write this review because I discovered that my windshield wiper fluid hood connects(dk correct name) were both broken off. No I wasn’t certain when it happened nor what caused it but I knew the last time I had service was at A1 so I called them last week and I acknowledged that time has passed. Yet, they still told me I could bring it in. I brought it in today without any expectations and Scott took care of it, free of charge(WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT AT ALL, I WAS PREPARED TO PAY) he did it in the name of customer care and that was awesome of him. I will be gladly utilizing A1 auto, especially after finding out today that they use warranty companies such as fidelity and endurance.

Turned out that my AC stopped working the next day and I had to return so that they could actually find the source of the leak. Ended up taking longer than I expected so I had to keep paying for a new rental and I ended up shelling out an extra $520 for them to do the new work to finally fix it which was annoying because had i known how much it would cost altogether from the beginning then I probably would not have let them fix it to begin with. I kind of felt trapped. Also, their qoutes that Paul gave for several other services I needed were way higher than everyone else or what the avg is when you look online even with the AAA discount. I wont be back Update: Air stopped working. Opened a claim to dispute the charges and they lied and said i didnt give them a chance to fix it or complain when i literally had to return and pay over $500 for them to try to figure it out and the ish still dont work. Will reopen dispute

I was there for my car inspection as I moved to MD from PA. I thought it would take longer, or I might need to drop my car there and pick it up the next day. But the service was very speedy; my car was done in about 45 minutes. The staff was very cooperative. I would say this auto shop is an excellent place to get your vehicle inspected.

If I could give a 0 I would. Bad customer service is beyond me, Ive worked W/in customer service for 18 years so I know what to expect. There were no clear answers for what was actually needed to be done for my car. When I initially called I thought this was the car place next to them (F&M Auto) that’s why I didn’t argue it plus I was at work and it was busy, but I know for sure the last time I went to the car place next to them (F&M auto) they were professional and clear so I was confused because the people at this location didn’t seem clear on answers. IT was to my surprise when I got off and went to location and saw it was the wrong mechanic location (I used triple A and didn’t think of the name I sent it to last time) so this was my mistake but IF I CAN SAVE A LIFE, don’t waste your money with them, check your options and get better customer service somewhere else. F&M auto is right next door in the other parking lot, 🅿️ I’ve never had issues with them when it comes to car repair 👩‍🔧 P.s. I never got my invoice in clear detail 🧾

These people really tried to get one over on me. They found I needed a fuel pump on my 2006 Equinox. They texted me with a price of $1,847. However, when I called to make sure they had the right amount, I was told over the phone that it was a little over $1,600. When I told the advisor how much I was told through text, he said they may have added on the diagnostic fee, so the total would be over $1,700, but not the $1,847. I informed him that I would not be having them fix the car, because I was quoted way less at two other shops. Needless to say, I went to Lucky Auto Repair in Lansdowne and they were able to fix my car for $922. I guess they figured since I was a woman, because mechanics do this at times, that I wouldn’t be smart enough to know something about car repair. Or it could be that they over charge. Always get two to three quotes before getting your car fixed. I would suggest going some place else, other than here.

The guy tried to add on more fees and tell me I had more problems with my car even though I told him I know I don’t because of past maintenance and because I have done most of the maintenance myself since I’m a mechanic. Only here because I’m out of town and I don’t have tools. went to a different shop and charged me way less for the same thing

I had to go to A1 twice for different vehicles. My SUV they fixed perfectly they fixed the axle and did a tune up. I had no issues with the repairs and my car drove better than before. The second time I used my warranty to try to fix the transmission but it was denied. I had trouble paying the balance and they worked with me to ensure I could pay and get my truck off the lot before incurring more fees. I will definitely take any car there for repairs in the future. The people are so very polite and are happy to assist and l they reassure you when your freaking out. Thanks A1 for trying to assist me I really feel like y'all did everything you could do to help and I forgot the mechanic name but he knows who he is thanks for the heads up about the advertisement.

I've been taking cars to Paul and his team since 2011. They have always done right by me and my family every time. They do quality, timely work, but more than that they are clearly out to provide the most trustworthy service they can. For example, just a couple weeks ago we got a quick oil change at a national quick-service place nearby and they botched the job badly (they drained the transmission fluid instead of the oil and then overfilled the oil). The team at A1 3 Brothers diagnosed the problem, helped me deal with the insurance company, gave great advice to find the most appropriate solution to get us back on the road, and "babysat" our car for way too long while this ordeal was handled. I trust this team implicitly for both the quality of their work and the advice they give--suffice it to say, as long as we are in Baltimore, this team will be our mechanics!
