The worst excuse of a human being and lazy incompetent untrustworthy mechanic. He doesn’t have a garage! He works out of a one car driveway at his house and his house looks like it’s been abandoned. This guy is a piece of work! I dropped off a car that needed a water pump. I am not a mechanic I depend on people who claim to be a mechanic. I brought the water pump and all of the parts needed. He gave me a price of $2000. I kept driving over to see how he was doing and he never touched. It said he would get to it, and then he called me needing $750 cash immediately! I ran to the ATM. I got the 750 I drove over and handed it to him. No receipt just handshake that’s when everything ended. All he did was take the valve cover gaskets off and then he abandoned the job. He told me he did not realize the engine had to be dropped! And he have no way of doing that. I told him I’m not a mechanic I don’t know what it takes. You are supposed to be a mechanic you should have known not to take in a job you were on qualified for now. He refuses to give me any of my $750 back!! Makes up one excuse after the other says he can’t even buy milk for his kids! This guy should be put in jail. Don’t listen to anything he says he is a total crook. I don’t know how he got positive ratings here unless he had some people do it for him. beware! you get what you pay for . NOT an ASE certification!

Had Charles work on my vehicle <year (last October) ago to do upper and lower ball joints. Process was seamless to bring him the vehicle and yeah it took a bit longer than anticipated but that’s fine. After the work was finished I informed him that they were not seated correctly (didn’t follow the AC Delco instructions to properly seat ball joint dust shields + lubrication) and needed to be corrected to avoid premature failure. Well, the upper joints failed significantly (pictures provided) and he has since viewed my text message regarding this and hasn’t responded to me about rectifying the situation despite offering a year of coverage on the work in his receipts. Won’t be back regardless of him responding or not but want to make sure it’s known that he’s ignored covering his work and wasn’t willing to do anything about it after I had initial concerns. Simple communication goes a long way with your customers, I understand if you’re busy with xyz but notifying me that you’ll get back to me about it rather than opening it and ignoring me says a lot. Be cautious future customers.

I generally exercise great restraint before leaving a negative review, but in this case, believe that it is necessary. I had a 6:00 am Saturday appointment for rear suspension work. On Thursday of that week, Charles sent me a text stating that he could do the job at 6:00 am on Friday instead. See photo confirmation of appointment. I showed up promptly at 6:00 am with my son, and my wife followed in our other car to pick us up. I told Charles to call me when he was finished with the job, because I might have him do another 4 hour job on the car if everything went smoothly. I called at 10:00 am to check the status, and Charles told me that he hadn't even started work on my car because he had another car in front of me. I then started wondering why he set a 6:00 am appointment when he couldn't start working on my car until much later. Meanwhile, I'm stuck at home, with no means of transportation since my wife had things to do. I called and texted him again at 2:45 pm asking for an update, so that my wife could arrange to drop me off for the pickup. I received no response. When I finally got him on the phone at 3:56 pm, he told me that he hadn't gotten started and still had another car in front of me. That was the final straw for me, and I told him I would be down there immediately to pick up my car. When I asked him why he set early appointments for more than one car, he told me that he has to do this because many people don't show for their appointments. That is unacceptable to me because if I had known this in advance, I would have gone somewhere else instead of wasting a day of my life. In the interest of full disclosure, I told Charles that I would be leaving this review, and wanted him to respond with the promise that he will never do this to another customer ever again. I suggested that he require a non-refundable deposit to guarantee that people show up for their appointments, as I would have gladly provided one. Charles is a very nice man, and might be an excellent mechanic, but if appointment times are simply for dropping the car off, rather than the start time of actual work, he should tell people that in advance.

I have gone to Charles for a complete brake job, he fixed a previous mistake made by the prior person who did my brakes. Has performed a full fuel injector swap, Trans and differential service on my 2016 5.3 Silverado. It took a few days, but now my cel is gone. I usually buy parts from the auto store and take it to Charles to install, and if they are wrong he’ll simply get the right one. I’ve saved thousands by taking this route, and I absolutely recommend him for any auto services.

I was referred to this mechanic by someone at my local AutoZone. When I talked to him, he told me he could fix my car the next morning. When the morning came and we talked again, he told me he could fix it that day but just not that morning. Told me that he could do it at 3p. Then he changed it to 4p. Low and behold it's after 8p the night of and do you think I've heard back from the guy??! Very unprofessional . Luckily for me I had the forethought to continue to look around, and was able to get someone to fix my problem.

Works out of his garage- messy, junk galore and very unprofessional. Fact- did not fix my car and I also bought an unnecessary part. Had to go to Kobars and let them do it. Already paid him to install the vapor canister, problem continued and he no-showed when he was supposed to install purge valve (which I purchased) which was the problem. just got a 'my bad' when I asked him why he didn't make it by. ...he had a bigger and better paying job he had to finish. I cant drive passengers around with my car shutting off so I need the correct part put in ASAP. Not happening. I asked him to return half what I paid him (that was nice and generous) he didn't even respond. Disappointed- I am a fellow UBER and Lyfter just like Charles-we're all supposed to be in this together- was really let down by his attitude and me having to pay Kobars for labor. Cheap comes out pricey folks!!
