Great experience with trustworthy mechanics. I shopped around and they had good value pricing. Rear brakes and rotors were done same-day for $430 and they gave some quotes on other recommended work that I was aware of.

Ron and Staff have been able to help my girlfriend's and I's auto problems well since we've moved here to Sacramento within the passed 8 months. We've gone to him for multiple car repairs and would highly recommend giving his shop a visit if you are looking for top tier care for reasonable and affordable pricing. We've visited Ron and his team a number of times, and they have been able to work on our Acura MDX replacing our timing belt and breaks. Ron worked diligently on three different occasions to continuously work on my 2018 BMW with it's faulty coolant system. Ron demonstrated great patience, dedication, and expertise. He was also able to fix our BMW coolant system, provide greater service compared to other specialty European auto shops with greater affordability.

This review is looong overdue. I came to Ron when I first moved to Sac 11 years ago and he was near my apartment in midtown. Ron has always been honest and super helpful. One time, years ago, when I had an issue with my tires as I was driving, I pulled into his shop and he took time to help me even if though he isn’t a tire guy. That showed me he valued his customers. Since then, life has changed a lot. Got married and had a kid and moved away to Garden Hwy out of midtown. But I still bring my cars and my wife’s and families cars to Ron’s. I even bring my Porsche Cayenne into him for oil changes (and he’s done a few other jobs on it) since European only shops charge way more. He’s never upsold me and has told me to wait out certain repairs that aren’t pressing. As long as I’m in Sacramento he’ll be my guy.

A-1 Auto repair is the place to go for auto repair! This is my second time going to A-1 to have my 2010 Toyota Sienna van repaired. Air conditioner was not working, Ron checked out the van and made the air cold again! Ron is very honest and takes the time to explain what is needed to his customers. His shop is very clean and has a nice wait area too. Go see Ron at A-1 auto repair. Definitely 5 stars!

The first time I brought Bessie (2001 Tahoe) in for service I asked Ron the owner for a tune up and radiator flush. He said "No problem on the tune up but if I flush your radiator you'll need $1500-$2000 in new parts because the system is older and full of sediment. Save you money and skip the radiator flush " I've had nothing but excellent service at reasonable prices over the last 10 years. Bessiie's gone but I won't go anyplace else for car repair work.

They are slow yet attentive. They close for lunch to 2 pm. I think 12 to 2 pm. Their lunch hours are not posted. They are patient with Deaf customers. Will use paper and pen to write back and fro. They don’t overcharge you. They are good at getting estimates first before doing any repair work.

Ron is an incredibly friendly guy and works hard to fit you in at a time that works for you. He’s trustworthy and sometimes doesn’t charge for certain parts or labor depending on the job. I trust him with my car 100% and I wouldn’t take my car to anyone else in the Sacramento area.

Great experience working with Ron and the team at A-1. They replaced my driver side mirror along with various general maintenance. He was friendly, professional, and very honest and saved me considerable time and money with his advice. Would certainly use his services again in the future.

Ron does a great job, and fair on pricing. I started to go to A-1 when I lived in the area. I moved a hour away yet still have reasons to occasionally be in the area. So I still have Ron take care of my service and repairs. It's worth a little extra time and effort to have a place you know and trust.

Ron was honest and saved is over $3,000. The dealer quoted $4k and said 2 additional repairs were needed that he didn’t see. We will definitely be going back.
