Took my car in for a basic tune-up one morning. During the diagnostic, the mechanic found a few things--valve cover leak, bad tire. Was given a quote in the upper $800 dollars, which sounded reasonable. Got a call late in the afternoon. The cost was now about $160 more--two new wheel studs. Ok. The car would be ready the next morning. Got a pic of my engine sent via text the next morning?!? What the heck?? The mechanic is back rooting around in the engine. Now the car needs a new timing chain belt. The price I had agreed to was now double the amount?!? I declined the belt. Paid less than $300 for the parts and $700 for labor. No belt. Needless to say, I'm never going back. I got a second opinion about my car. Both belts in my car at fine and don't need to be replaced.

My boyfriend and I pulled in to park at this place during the UofL and Miami game and were told it was $20 to park. My boyfriend handed the owner a 20 then he asked us to pull into a different spot which we did. When we got out he then said we never paid him which I witnessed him being paid. These people are thieves…..they only stole $20 from us but will still more from others.

AVOID AT ALL COST They charged me $525.00 to replace a battery and cables and when i picked my vehicle up and drove off it would not go over 30 miles because my power control module did not recognize my car key as if i was trying to steal my own car. Like someone had a new key and it would not recognize my key i already had. No assuming anything but just saying kinda strange. They tried to charge me another diagnostic fee for a problem they caused. when I refused to pay the diagnostic fee they took my phone number said they would give me a call to look over their work and repair it but never called. had to take my vehicle elsewhere and get new keys programmed and repaired. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE.

Excelent service! We have been around for 3 years and this guys always find a way to amaze me with their level of service and effectiveness. I crashed this Jetta a while ago in the highway and the guys managed to make it work like new for a fair price. Thank you guys for everything!

Called into this place and asked them “hey if I bring my (Year, Make & Model of my vehicle) in, do you have the ability to fix the AC on my car. “Yes - they said” “Great, also my car is running a bit hot lately so since you can fix the AC could you look into and see why the car is running so hot?” “Yes, there is a diagnosis fee to determine why the car is running hot. “ Was 100% fine with paying a diagnosis fee, because they were going to fix the issue. Well I dropped the vehicle off and the next morning they said they didn’t have the machine to fix the AC on my vehicle. He was planning on buying one but it’s too expensive. So why would I bring my car to a place that doesn’t have the equipment to fix my car. Oh by the way the diagnosis fee determined I needed radiator fluid. Which is fine and all if I knew up front they didn’t have the equipment to fix my vehicle. But if I had known that up front I absolutely would not brought my vehicle to A 1 auto repair near Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium and the UofL baseball stadium near campus. I would’ve moved on to a different option instead of wasting my time and money. Hey, with that diagnosis fee you charged me I hope you’re able to afford new equipment. 0/5 don’t recommend. And if you absolutely need to, get everything in writing.

I brought my vehicle here because I had a massive coolant leak. Come to find out, my thermostat and water pump was leaking. They were able to fix it in a very timely manner and completely solved the issue. They’re very reasonable with their prices as well. I would 100% come back and I would recommend anyone to bring their vehicle here with any vehicle issues that may arise. Very blessed and happy I came across this place.

I don't recommend A1AUTO on south 3rd street.mgr wanted me to pay 150dllrs for a plug in.a tire.that was no good.n a tire.so I told him that's more than l want to spend.he got mad.n said 65dollrs for a plug.that was already in the tire.n cleaning the rim.he did nothing.when he walk off from me.when he was outside.talking to someone else.l should have walked another way also.they rob me for no reason.he has lost his mind.im reporting to BBB.he could've charged something not rob me.this was my 1st visit to the store.i really hate downtown.Njoy that money.God bless 🙏💎✝️ thks for nothing...u scammer.🙈🙊🙉👿🤱👩‍❤️‍👩👨‍❤️‍👨 taking food out of kids mouth.🆘💩💩💩wish I could give u a big fat 0.ur not a hero.👿👀👀👀💩

I can honestly say I’ve been dealing with Alex personally for almost the amount of time he’s opened and my car has been there over 2 weeks and he won’t answer and keeps neglecting to call me on anything so my service with him this time is clearly unsuccessful and VERY DISSATISFIED DISAPPOINTED AND STILL WAITING FOR MY CAR!!!!!!

Very professional! My daughter is a grad student at UOfl and I am 1000 miles away. I spoke with them over the phone and he took care of getting her vehicle fixed. I recommend this company!! Thanks so much A-1
