I have been taking my cars to these guys for around 13 years and have had good experiences with them. I highly recommend these guys when anyone is asking for a reliable mechanic. One time my brother got his truck towed over there because he thought it broke down, it needed gas and the owner Huang put in gas for him and didn't even charge him, great honest guys! 😂 I have a few other stories of how they helped me out over the years.

I've brought several vehicles over the years. Always like the guts. Last time, I felt like they didn't fix the issue correctly. They told me all of these other things he tweaked and fixed at no charge. Problem was not fixed. That's was my last time to go there ever. Before now they were good. Maybe this was just a 1 time thing, but they never even returned a call.

My uncle brought his car here to fix some minor issues, and they did an okay job. However, one time, his Lexus Rx350 had some engine noise, so he brought it to the shop. One of the mechanics told him that his car was about to break down and would need an engine replacement. He quoted a cost of 4k to fix it but never told my uncle what the real issue was. Then he persuaded my uncle to sell him the car for 1k, knowing that my uncle is a loyal customer who trusts them. A day later, when my dad returned from his trip, he wanted to see the car and figure out what the issue was. My dad is also an amateur mechanic who fixes cars as a hobby, and it was actually his old car that he gave to my uncle a few years ago. Unfortunately, they told him that they had already sold the car to someone else since they had fixed it (all of that fixing in just 2 days). So, I would strongly advise people to stay away from this shop, as they set you up and scam you when they see an opportunity. I will NOT be recommending THIS SHOP to anyone I know anymore.

Wow It was fantastic experience because A-1 is very honest and reliable and he does a good job. But sometimes he forgot the price he gave you, it's good idea to get your receipts always.

Every time I bring my car in (this will be the last), they finish without testing enough and I have to bring it back for a fix. This latest time they have had it over a month and still not done. 1991 Miata. Timing belt broke. I had it towed to their shop. The young one returned my email to say it probably meant a valve was bent. That is true with most Japanese engines but **not Miatas**. Most Miatas (if not all and definitely including the 91) have a "non-interference" engine where this scenario DOES NOT happen unless the engine was modded. Mine is stock. I tried to tell him that via email and he jumped down my throat about it, super rude and telling me to stay in my lane. I backed off, thinking, hey I'm not a mechanic, I'll let the "experts" do their job. After a week or so I phoned them (because they rarely initiate calls): The old one said they changed timing belt, put it back together and no compression so they assumed bent valve and sent it off to another shop to get that fixed. From much scouring of the web I find that this matches the following common situation: Mechanic replaces timing belt but mis-aligned. That causes the lack of compression. They don't do their research to find Miatas are a special case so they assume a bad valve. Now I've been waiting over a month. When they finally present me with a bill above what they initially estimated, I'm thinking it is time to get my attorney involved. EDIT/ADD: After 7 weeks, they gave up and told me to come get my car. I took it to Amazing Automotive who, within a few hours diagnosed the issue: the new timing belt A-1 put on was indeed mis-aligned, causing enough compression loss to prevent ignition. Yay for competent mechanics who actually listen to their customer's ideas!

I have been taking my car to this garage shop for years now. The most important reason that brings me back is Mr. Hoang, the "old man". He is simply good and I fully trust him in all the work he does. I strongly recommend this shop for anyone looking for quality work at fair price.

Some friends and I were driving home from Austin back up to Dallas when the car we were driving started shaking on the road. We discovered what the issue was, and, though it was an easy fix, the issue was getting into a mechanic on a Saturday. We got the parts we needed for the wheel at an auto-parts store, and started calling around. They were the first shop that were able to see us, and then resolved our issue in a matter of minutes. Very friendly, great service, and did it all for a fair price. If you're an Austin native (or a roadie in a jam haha) definitely give this place a shot!

Went to get inspection sticker. Had outdated insurance card. Called insurance company and they A 1 refused to take it. Employee-was Lazy and wouldn’t except my email. Will not be back. Horrible service.

Brought my car here, the positive, they told me to come in as the do not charge a fee to diagnose and open without an appointment on a Saturday, the Negative: when I came in they told me their boss is an expert in hybrids and I had to come back an hour later, I had a simple pulley noise that only came on when the gasoline engine came on so I knew it had nothing to do with the hybrid system, the boss came in 40 minutes late, simply glanced at the hood and deemed my electric motor is bad (hilarious expert advice) which is clearly not the case as later confirmed by another mechanic it was the pulley bearings making the noise (simple diagnosis if you ask me and I'm no expert), not sure how they manage to fix vehicles here or what type of scheme they run in the background.
