I would give 5 stars but after my radiator was replaced my check engine light came on. I called to see if they could come check it. 9ver a month now no call back. Come to find out the new radiator was not new. Another mechanic checked it out. Its not a new radiator. I paid for 3 hours labor it didn't take 3 hours and didn't receive money back. All that was replaced was the coolant tank and hose re attached. I paid $593 plus 160 for his initial diagnosis that he spent 20 mins to diagnose and said rest of that 160 would go towards repairs.

My car died on me this Sunday afternoon after running some errands and I had no idea what to do. A friend mentioned using a mobile mechanic before, so I Google searched and thankfully ended up calling A1 over the other competition. Josh answered my call, assured he would come take a look after getting some basic info and he was an absolute delight. Such a nice, genuine man who wanted to help get me back on the road. At first it seemed that I needed a jump to get back on the road, but he assured me that if it happened again he would come out and replace my battery. Lo and behold, it happened to me again at the grocery store. I called Josh right away and he was so willing to help get my battery changed out and this was at peak 3-4 afternoon time on a Sunday. He had great communication as he was traveling, was up front about costs and you can tell he is THE car man. He made the experience so comfortable and kept my stress at bay by making friendly conversation, walking me through what he was doing, and even sharing his knowledge with me on other car related fixes that were beneficial to me. There was never pressure to add any additional services, but he did advise me on some things he noticed. I feel that he is someone I would 100% trust to care for my car in the future. I thank you so very much for spending a big chunk of your Sunday helping me out of my mini nightmare. Your kindness and genuine personality meant so much. I highly recommend calling A1 whenever you are in need of a repair or maintenance. Ask for Josh! He was awesome. -Corrinne

Josh took my call at 4 on a Saturday and came within the hour, diagnosed the problem, worked the next day to fix it and found and fixed the cause of another leak I knew I had. I don’t live in Sac but I would go out of my way to have him work on my car again! Thank you so much!

Got stranded in the parking lot and I barely had any money, the guy was very kind and helped me save as much money as I could and did an excellent fast job. Came to identify the problem on my car and quickly was able to solve it and get me back on the road

Great service , honest mechanic, fair pricing, nice guy. I'm very thankful for his help and being available on Sundays. My car was stranded in a parking lot and would not start with a jump, this was due to a poorly connected battery but that is something I wouldn't know. This is a guy I will call again if I need mechanic help for my car.

The best - responsive and honest, Josh was top flight in all ways. Met me on a Sunday afternoon, diagnosed the issue on the spot (wheel bearing), explained the risk if I continued to drive, and fixed it at a reasonable price. He provided further diagnosis on other parts of the front suspension and tires without me ever feeling like he was upselling or looking to do unnecessary work. A-1 Mobile Service will be my first call always in Sacramento.
