A1 Transmission and Auto Repair LLC has been serving the transmission and clutch repair needs of Louisville an surrounding areas for over a decade. Our highly trained transmission repair team has over 40 years of experience rebuilding and replacing automatic transmissions and clutches. Every repair we do comes with a limited warranty and our promise that the job has been done right. If you cant get your vehicle to the our location we offer free towing and a free diagnostic service on your transmission. We accept most major credit cards and financing is available.

This place is very unprofessional and have no heart or courtesy! I repeat DO NOT go here they talk disrespectful once they see they can’t get a quick buck off you and their prices for repairs is outrageous. No thanks!

Great experience, fast service and even better communication... Definitely would go back for my transmission needs... Found the problem and it was fixed in a day... At a fair rate as well... Thx again for doing what the dealership couldn't...

Not your typical transmission shop. Over the years my wife and I have had several bad experiences with transmission repair businesses. Whatever the problem, seems the solution was always replacement or a major rebuild. Took my Toyota 4Runner there, which was having shifting problems. Robert (the owner) correctly diagnosed the issue and was able to correct it with a simple service. Got my vehicle back in just two days. For a couple of hundred dollars the vehicle is now running perfectly again. I would recommend A1 as your first option for transmission solutions.

Robert and crew did a great job and in a timely manner. My Escape runs better than ever. Hopefully I won’t need transmission services again, but if I do I will choose A-1Transmission.

I had a great experience with A1. They put a transmission in for me, gave me a year warranty and charged me a fraction of what the ripoff franchise places charge. They could have even charged me for new rear motor mounts, I wouldn't have known the difference and they knew that, but he told me the motor mounts were okay. I live far away from them, but it's the only place I'll ever go again because it's a pretty great thing to find an honest transmission shop.

Even though I had no work done they were very honest. Even if it means them losing out on money they will tell you the truth. Definitely suggest this business!

Exceptional service! If you’re having transmission issues this is the place to go. My car quit on me and I had to pull it into a parking lot a couple buildings down from A1. I walked in the shop frustrated and looking for advice on how to maybe limp it down there, he got my keys and said he’d take care of it. Very impressed with this place. Unfortunately my car isn’t worth fixing but these guys were great. They checked my car out for me and helped me with the decision to just get another one as opposed to fixing it. If I ever have any issues with a car, A1 will be my first stop!

You won’t find someone as honest and tentative as they are here. I was absolutely amazed at the quality of the customer service and how they blended around backwards just to help us out! I’ve been telling everyone how awesome this place is since I took my car there a couple weeks ago.
