I appreciate the due diligence of the team members here at AA Auto Care & Tire. I thought I needed a new starter, but it was quickly diagnosed as a fuel filter system problem. Also, they topped off my brake fluid, which made my driving much safer. I was very lucky to rely on AA Auto Care & Tire. They are experts in auto care. Updated: Again I visited AA Auto Care, and as always was very impressed with the high quality of workmanship and reliability. Cheers, to this shop of real craftsmen! 🥳

STEER CLEAR! My 27yo daughter bought a ‘96 Bronco in Houston. She isn’t mechanically minded and we (her parents) live 200 miles away. She was left stranded when it died and had it towed to this place as it was close to her house and had good reviews. She was told multiple things and they charged her to repair them but it left her stranded 2 subsequent times and had to be towed. The last time they said that she needed a new distributor to fix the “variable miss.” They did this and then made her wait several more days for someone to “bring us a timing light to set the timing.” After this, she was stranded again and had it towed home to sit in her garage until I could come get it and just sell it for her. She was out a couple of thousand dollars to this place and still couldn’t drive the car and was taking the bus to work. I arrived and drove it home. It was clattering very loudly and was obviously not timed properly. It was idling rough and would occasionally die and had a variable miss when I checked the codes. Under the hood, they had indeed placed a new distributor but had not bothered to change the spark plugs and wires which were old. No quality mechanic would EVER replace a distributor without first changing the spark plugs and wires. I checked with several mechanics to verify this. And to top it off, leave it almost undriveable by being so far out of timing. I did the plugs and wires and adjusted the timing by ear and it runs like a top now. Such an easy fix. I am not a mechanic and rarely work on my own vehicles. It was very frustrating to have my daughter treated so poorly at this place time and again. Will not return here obviously.

I am a single woman and have finally found a place I can trust that won't skin me alive. I've come in several times very distressed over my car suddenly falling apart and they always get it fixed up at a fair price. It's nice to know that there's someone you can count on.

Had a bolt lodged in my tire, was in-and-out or the shop in less than 15 minutes. Super straight forward service. No up-charges, recommended a more frugal and pragmatic solution due to the age and state of my tires, were about as quick as any shop I’ve ever been to. Can’t recommend this place enough. They even parked my car in reverse, so I could leave easily on my way out into the super busy road.

Honest service! Took my car in to see if I needed new tires since the tread depth was looking a little low to my untrained eyes. AA went out and looked at all the tires on my car and told me I didn’t need any new ones, and they told me to instead come back in 2 years! They could have tried to pressure me into getting a new tire but they didn’t. I really appreciated the honest service I got, and will definitely be coming back once I need new tires.

I'm in Houston for cancer treatment. I drove from Ohio. My car had issues some of which I would normally fix myself. My wife, caregiver, would need a dependable car while I'm inpatient, and I didn't want anything going wrong. I found AA Auto Care & Tire on Google Maps. They had a decent rating. I got a quote based on my description of what was wrong and the parts that were needed. I was getting daily treatments at MD Anderson so had very small windows to get the work done. It was around $1,500 worth of work. The owner pre-ordered all the parts and planned an exact schedule when the work could be completed. He included an additional contingency date if there were problems. The contingency date was not needed. The shop did all the work correctly the first time. All of the work was completed as planned within a day. Everything worked as planned. I was actually amazed a shop could plan and execute on my instructions, and fit it into my urgent schedule. That right there earns them 5 stars. I can't speak much to the cost. I know car repairs are way up, plus my perspective is from someone who does their own work. One of the items on the list was very close to dealer price. I would expect an independent shop to be around 15% below dealer. All that said, they performed premium work, and I would use the shop again if something goes wrong.

These guys have been taking care of our vehicles for over nine years. In that time, 2 of my wife's cars and 2 of my Jeeps. They are conveniently located, and don't talk down to me as I try to articulate my limited knowledge of automotive issues. Prices are more than competitive with surrounding shops, and most importantly: I can trust them!
