I recently put a review out about aamco, which was very unfair of me to do that. I took my vehicle back in to Jon , and he found out the problem, and is now doing the repair. These guys been amazing from the start. I let my frustration get the best of me giving them a bad review. So I would like to apologize to you guys. Just picked up my vehicle, Jon has it running like it's off the showroom floor. Great job to you and your team.Great work, I recommend everyone to give them a try.

This review is for the Albemarle Rd. location in Charlotte, NC. I live in Atlanta and my daughter is a student at UNC Charlotte. She was having issues with her transmission, so I had her bring it to AAMCO, and Jon was the one who took care of it for her. He called me directly after he checked her car, and he was extremely honest and professional. He ended up saving me money because the fix was very minor. I'd recommend this AAMCO location, and Jon specifically, to anyone.

I took my 2005 Corolla here after I had a check engine light on. Was informed my transmission is a bust - they were extremely helpful and transparent. Ended up not being charged at all for the service. Very quick turnaround and highly recommend this place!!!

This was my first time using AAMCO TRANSMISSION service. I needed a new, used or rebuild transmission for my 2013 Dodge Caravan. My son is in a wheelchair and this van is my only source of transportation for us to get around. My son loves to be sociable. They were able to rebuild the existing transmission and I had my van back in 2 or 3 days with a 1 year warranty. When I spoke with John on every call he was polite, professional and caring.Thanks to the whole team for getting us back to church on Sundays.

John was very patient with us keeping our car there until we decided what we wanted to do. He was very accommodating and although we didn’t use his service at this time, we have another vehicle that needs a transmission so he will be the first we go to.

Aamco is my trusted car mechanics 😁I used to take my car to the dealership but on the last occasion they rushed and fixed my brakes and left me stranded across the street from them in the middle of Independence traffic. It was scary. I took my car to Aamco and I have been pleased every time. My son and daughter also take their car to Aamco now. John and his team is honest and me being a woman really appreciate that! I trust them and feel they know car repair and what’s best for each car ❤️

I have been taking both my Lexuses to John and Tracy the mechanic for years. Finding a trustworthy mechanic is sometimes hard to find. Well, your search is over. I will hesitate to recommend Amcco with John and Tracy.

I’ve been a devoted and steady customer of Jon and his team for over four years. When moving to Charlotte, I had some trial and errors with less than “Honest” car repair shops before I found Jon by word of mouth. He not only patiently explains my vehicle’s problem but offers cost effective fixes and high-quality work. He doesn’t aggressively upsell; in fact Jon has discouraged (expensive) work recommended by other shops because it would be bad for the long-term health of *my* vehicle. Nobody likes going to the auto mechanic (like the dentist – necessary but expensive) but Jon has the best “bedside manner” that keeps me coming back. I’ve gladly recommended Jon’s AAMCO location to anyone who asks “do you know a good mechanic?”

These gentlemen are professionals. They have experience, knowledge, and grit. I've gotten plenty of work done. I've gotten my brakes replaced, over 12 oil changes, and turn signals fixed. They are always dependable. These gentlemen do great business. This business is HIGHLY recommended.

They asked what the symptoms were before dropping off my vehicle. It would start feeling like it was jerking and shifting rough. They called a few hours later with a diagnosis of a bad torque converter, and a kit for a rebuild. $6000. So, I took that information, looked up ways to test your torque converter. First, I changed my fluid. Not burnt and no metal shavings. Stall test- passed. Kept seeing people mentioning spark plugs or coils. Changed my spark plugs, and it's been a week. My car hasn't slipped, stuttered, shuddered, or did any of the things it was doing. I drive it all over for work. And it even has a lot more get up and go. So check your spark plugs before throwing your money away.

Went here for a 2nd opinion after Tuffy quoted us an over 6K for a new used transmission. Took it to AAMCO, turns out it just needed a new solenoid valve, saved us over 4K. Appreciate honest mechanics, customer for life.

My name is William Gladden ! I am 84 yrs old ! I have taken the transmission out of my camaro twice and both times it has come back wrong will not change correctly! And he said just keep adding fluid ! I realize I took it out ! Bit have been a mechanic who owned a shop for a very long time! I can't seem to get them to get it fixed !
