I took my 2019 corvette in for a transmission fluid change because I had a a small leak that I had took care of but remaining fluid was still good so instead of charging me for a fluid change they did a top off at no charge, very honest people.

My trans had to be rebuilt right after I paid my car off. I took here n it was rebuilt in 2 weeks. Adam is always professional and on top of things. Will definitely recommend

Firsts things first Jimmy is top TIER.. As a female going to any mechanic is somewhat intimidating but not AAMCO.. I came in confident and left with so much joy.. He was informative and very professional.. Explained my car issues down to the T.. I would recommend him and this location to anyone in need of transmission or engine work.. Seriously come out and get that work.. Thanks again Jimmy you were amazing.. Forever grateful 💞

In December 2022 I took my 2010 Chevy Equinox (with 100k miles) to AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care located at 12307 South Halsted Street due to the vehicle not moving in reverse, engine light on and loss of power when accelerating. I spoke with Julio prior to dropping off the vehicle for repair, and he kept me updated throughout the repair process. Julio informed I’d need transmission rebuild. He thoroughly explained... - The overall issues - Repair time frame ( 3 weeks) - Standard warranty and extended warranty details -Repair cost The rebuilt transmission was completed in 2 weeks, and the vehicle drove perfectly. In December 2023, I took the vehicle back for an annual check (requirement to maintain extended warranty coverage). The transmission was working as expected; there were no issues. I’d also like to mention, while the shop performed the annual inspection of the transmission, they checked the vehicle, overall, and discovered an issue with the brakes being locked on one of the wheels. Once again, Julio explained the issue (clogged brake hose), repair needed, warranty, and repair cost details. My vehicle was again repaired correctly and timely. As of today, June 23, 2024, the vehicle is still driving great! Thank you, Julio! Please forgive me for taking so long to write this review for a job well done. I truly appreciate you and your auto repair expertise!

I took my 2015 Nissan Rogue AAmco transmissions for the repair of a Rear Differential- they fixed my vehicle so fast I was shocked - the noise is gone and my baby (Car) is back! After another shop did me wrong - they really saved the day and got my car back to me quick. Quality work nice guy Julio 😊

I was very unhappy with the service I received at Ammco. I had my vehicle serviced here and they told me “you’re going to need to replace the engine”. Which was no problem but for 2 months after that they didn’t get back with me on anything. Had to call almost everyday to figure out was going. Most of the time they wouldn’t even pick up. Told me my car would be done. Then for some reason would delay it day after day…

I’m late writing this review but it’s only because I wanted to make sure that my review was as honest as possible. I wanted to ensure that I could write a review that truthfully reflected the work that was done on my vehicle so I waited a couple weeks to give a review of how my car has been driving ever since I picked it from the shop after a rebuilt transmission was installed. My trans on my Ford Escape was damaged and shot but Julio and his builder have not disappointed me with the trans they’ve installed. I’ve had my car since about December 5th and so far it’s driving very nicely!! On top of having this installed in a nice timely fashion, Julio and his builder worked with me on pricing! Believe it or not; they matched the quote of another reputable trans shop that they knew I trusted. I was very pleased to know they valued me as a customer and understood my concerns and specifically my pricing concerns and addressed my concerns. I also would like to mention that Julio and his builder have no problem showing you what’s wrong with your car; they’ll walk you inside their shop where they’re working on your vehicle and give you details. I was worried that being a female and not as knowledgeable on cars that I would get overcharged and taken advantage of but that did not happen here! I felt comfortable and so far confident that my trans is running well, I also feel confident that should anything go wrong in the future that I am protected in the hands of Julio and his team at the shop with my 2 year warranty. Overall, my experience here was a great one!

Please stay away from this over priced repair shop! This is the only AAMCO shop that will charge for a diagnostic and not incorporate the cost into the repair. Rip-off!!!!

l work in the vicinity of Amco transmission I needed a timing chain done on my truck I asked several people in the community about AAMCO Transmission every person I spoke to gave me a positive review so I called them and explain my problem. Julio was very accommodating he took the time to explain my repairs to me and he also quoted me a reasonable price for a very complicated job I immediately had my truck towed to them and the work was completed within a reasonable amount of time without a great inconvenience to me after I test drove my vehicle I was very pleased with the repairs I was strongly recommend for anyone in need of car repair to consult with AAMCO Transmission about their car repair needs Thank u AAMCO Big T security

I want to thank the manager for seeing me on 10/23/2023. I did not leave my car because it was not an option for me. The manager was quick to determine my transmission was going out before even taking it for a test drive or looking at it. Thank God I left. I took my car to my regular mechanic at Ricks muffler shop on 83rd and exchange. Rick saw me right away. The transmission had a leak from the cooling line that he replaced along with 2 quarts of CVT fluid. He did this in an hour and the whining sound was fixed. Thank you AAMCO manager for chasing me away. I am thankful to you for discouraging me. The fix cost me 75 bucks. I do not need another transmission like the manager said. Why make an appointment if you have to leave your car with 7 or 8 cars in front of yours. Glad I went to Rick's. Saved me the price of a new transmission. I was there at 8am. The owner is a liar if he says otherwise.

my transmission work was under warranty but the additional work, oil pan & gasket, rack-n-pinion, map sensor, motor mount, crankshaft seal all removed and replaced was done at the same time with a savings of over $2,300 on labor. I highly recommend this site.
