First of all, I want to note how much we all stress about vehicle repairs. When I first called AAMCO I was looking for a transmission to buy, to have someone put in for me. I had done some research online and I just didn't want to send my money into the unknown and hope a good transmission was delivered to my house. So, I went into my phone call with that goal. Once I spoke with Jay the owner, he not only told me they could pick my truck up, but they could remove the transmission, rebuild it and reinstall for about the same price as I would've paid for a transmission online. I WAS SOLD! They picked the truck up within a couple hours, and two days later I called just to get a status update, and Logan told me they were putting it back together and he would confirm at 3pm if I could pick the truck up that day. 3pm on the dot he called me and said the truck was good to pick up. My day ran a little longer than I wanted it too, so I ended up picking the truck up the next morning. Let me tell you how happy I am that I chose to come to AAMCO to have my truck worked on. I hardly ever take the time to leave a review. But these guys are doing it right! I will definitely be using them for any other repairs I need done! 5 stars, 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing vehicle repairs.

I was looking at a $1800.00 repair and they were able to do a work around and only had to pay $250.00. It was a very pleasant surprise. I appreciate them going the extra mile.

I’ve been coming here for years they are courteous and professional, I like the fact that they will take the time to explain any questions you have, and if something happens to be not right the General will make it right.

Fantastic customer care & services. As a prior customer, I brought my truck back to AAMCO for issues with my Work trucks transmission over heating & they took care of me like they always do. They had my work truck repaired and road worthy the same day and within only a few hours of dropping it off. I highly recommend to anyone in the columbus area looking for transmission repair !

I’ve been going to this place for many years , always top notch work from high quality technicians , they never try and sell you something you don’t need they’re honest as the day is long trust these guys with every vehicle I’ve ever owned ! I was told on the phone early in the morning I can get a oil change then when I go up there, all the spots are filled if they can’t service somebody at the time they could just say that if they’re busy and can’t take more customers, they should just be able to say that I feel like I went up there for nothing

The guys at AAMCO took great care of me! The CV axle broke on my Honda Accord (thankfully it wasn't the transmission), and they offered to tow the car in to have it looked at. I set an appointment for Tuesday and got the car back the following day ahead of schedule. The pricing is fair, and the work is honest. We may have found our new local shop!

These guys know their stuff. A different shop told me I needed a new transmission, est to be $4k. Went to aamco for a 2nd opinion, and they found the transmission was ok and the real issue was just some faulty wires and my final bill was in the hundreds! I'll be a returning customer.

On May 1st at 2:30 in the morning, after dropping my vehicle off the day before on April 30th at 9:30am at Aamco my vehicle was stolen from them. I called around 2:30pm that afternoon to check on the status of the repair and the owner Jay told me it was some type of electrical module that needed replaced for the all wheel drive system. Then Jay asked me for my warranty info to verify if they could do the work. Jay called me back an hour later and tells me that my vehicle was stolen! So Im wondering how he would know what was wrong with the vehicle if they werent able to diagnose the vehicle because it was already gone? The keys were left inside and the cops told me it seemed as if it was inside Job. Due to the fact that the surveillance footage showed the thief walked right up to my vehicle and got in and drove off! Didn't check any other vehicles to see if they were unlocked to try and steal anything from inside them or steal the vehicle itself. Just my 2014 Dodge Durango RT that had extremely low milage and was in phenomenal condition! It's been over a month now and all they've done was pay off the vehicle from the lender and that's it. I've lost out on all the money that I've paid in interest, taxes, trade in for the vehicle that I traded in to get the vehicle. The items that I had inside the vehicle, such as clothing, shoes, tools, headphones, and Tax papers. I know some of you might ask well why would I have left that stuff in there! All I have to say is, is that I definitely didn't expect for the people that worked there to have my vehicle set up to be stolen. So since I have recently decided to quit working for other people and decided to work for myself, I am not able to sign on my own behalf for a vehicle with out proof of income. So now I'm not only left without a vehicle but I had personal items that amount up to a decent amount of money that they refuse to compensate me for! Word to the wise, don't have a nice vehicle that they need or could use a part from because clearly they'll have something done to it. Have already contacted the BBB and am still waiting to hear if there's anything else that I could possibly have done to help me get back anything of what I lost. Edit: response to owner: Regardless of the encouragement of you asking them to furnish me a rental, I should be entitled to a rental because you and the people you have working for you allowed or as i see it had my vehicle to be stollen! Sorry just isn't going to cut it when my family and I don't have a vehicle and the amount of money that I have lost out on in the fiasco. You should have done a better job of making sure people's property were secure. Knowing your location should make you want to double or even triple check to make sure things like that don't happen. I hope this review reaches people and that they question theirs elves about bringing their vehicle to your establishment before they do and something like this happens to them. What's really crazy about you is that this was the first time you've actually said sorry about this whole situation until I made the review! While you tried to ensure that it wasn't an inside Job never once did you say sorry!

My experience with AAMCO! They were professional, friendly and honest. The engine light came on my vehicle so I started looking for a shop to have a diagnostic check. There’s no charge for diagnostic check there that saved me lots of money. They repaired the Knock Sensor Harness/ Manifold Gasket. They did a great job! Thank you Jay for replacing another part that you didn’t charge me for. I recommend using them as your auto repair shop. Thanks so much Jay and staff for a great experience!

Jay is very helpful, understanding, and very knowledgeable! Definitely recommend this Aamco location for service. Calling these guys “professional” would be a far stretch. If you’re looking to fix problems with your transmission, I would say that this may be a good place to go. For anything else though, I wouldn’t trust them. They can’t even seem to do an oil change properly. For anything else besides your transmission issues, I’d go to Van Dynes right down the road from them.

These dudes will use an impact drill on your drain plug to your oil tank to try and strip your bolt. They will also charge you $1,800 and not even fix the problem when they say they did. They are armatures at best.

Was having trouble with my car.wasn’t sure if it was the transmission.Jay and his team looked it over and called me to let me know it wasn’t my transmission, but wiring that had gone bad to my transmission . They fixed it and my car is working great.? Would HIGHLY recommend them. And will definitely go to them again.

We are recent transplants from Los Angeles, and when we needed transmission repairs, we panicked! Fortunately AAMCO is always reliable, and Jay at Cleveland Ave AAMCO is exactly what we have come to expect from a reputable company like this. He was patient, courteous, and kind. Great price on a new transmission, front wheel bearings and tie rods. We saved over $2,000 on the the total job versus what the dealership wanted to charge us. J worked diligently to make sure the warranty company gave us everything we were supposed to receive. Would absolutely recommend this place!

Worst experience ever and still trying to fight it. Corporate won’t even get back with us. We had a transmission rebuilt last year. There has been a shutter to it and now they’re trying to say that we did modifications to the truck and now they won’t fix. First they argued that we put a lift kit and big tires on it. Proved we bought it like that and brought it to them like that now they’re informing us that there’s no cadiliyic converter on it. Which we’ve never had any work at all done on this truck besides brakes. So they did this work like this and now refusing to do the warranty work. I would not recommend coming here for any work because they’re trying to screw us out of our over $5,000 transmission. All bad business. Corporate still has yet to contact me. I’ve emailed, called, left voicemails and nothing.
