Patty and Dan are awesome! There was another guy that was at the front desk he was bald, had some arm tattoos can’t remember his name but he was funny as hell and nice! My husbands transmission went out in his Chevy and we needed it fixed asap! Don came and towed the truck and fixed it within 2 days. WOW! And everyone in the office was very sweet and funny! Patty was very patient with the questions we had. Only cost us $2800 for a new transmission when everyone else was quoting $5-8k. They also offer financing and that helped us tremendously they are life savers literally! Now I can have my car back to myself!! Hahaha. Thanks guys we will definitely recommend everyone we know!

I appreciate it tremendously including the work of the mechanics. :) Transmission was replaced here, they picked my baby up and I got it back the next day! I took my GMC Sierra to Ammco on Thursday. They diagnosed and fixed my transmission issue by Friday. I got my truck and drove straight to North Carolina for my 30 year High School class reunion. They are very professional and the best at truck repair that I know in the area! Thank you Ammco.

Recently bought a 2019 chevy silverado that had transmissions issues. Ive tried going to the chevy dealerships and only left with disapointment. The folks at AAMCO (shout out to Dan) saved me so much time and money by getting my truck fixed and under warranty. Dan kept me up to date on the progress from the diagnosis, dealing with the warranty company, and the fix! My truck is now running smooth and with a working transmission! Was referred here from another place that could not accommodate the height of my vehicle. Everyone here was polite and communicated every step of the way. Talk about great service! I had to have a new transmission within 1 day. Going away on vacation the next day. They made it happen for me. Didn't even skip a beat. Even to the littlest thing like a bushing For the shifter, they truly took care of me. Dan IS the man. Thank you again for everything!

I had my BMW M550 in to this location one year ago. I first took it to Eurospec and they charged me several hundred dollars and misdiagnosed my car. I waited this long to write a review because I wanted to give the repairs sufficient time to see if they were done correctly and if any issues would come up. I had a new transfer case installed and a transmission issue repaired. These issues were not cheap but this is a high end vehicle and after 25 years of high end European cars I am used to expensive repair bills. After one year both problems are resolved with not one hint of them lingering or coming back. I was honestly skeptical but in this case AAMCO did a great job.

Fast and professional! Had my 2011 f150 Lead frame diagnosed while I waited and fixed the very next day after being told by the dealership that I had to wait over a month for an appointment. If you have transmission issues this is the place to go!

Had severe vibration and clunking within my transmission. Shop diagnosed and repaired the problem in a reasonable amount of time. Truck currently drives perfect. Definitely will continue to do business here!

Had a pretty good experience at this shop, I'd recommend it to friends and family. I own an older vehicle and they had no issue working on it. They warned me of potential issues that could arise which is expected, I do work on it myself and know very well how quickly a 3 hour job turns into a 3 day job due to sourcing hard to find parts. Overall I look forward to coming back in the future.

I had a transmission leak the other day and did not want to risk it, so after work, I went straight to them. The next day, they were able to consistently call me for updates and salvage my transmission with no internal damage found. I was told any other transmission shop would've told me to buy a new one and they're expensive. Thank you, AAMCO and your team, at San Jose blvd.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! MARCUS WAS VERY RUDE TO ME BECAUSE I WANTED TO USE MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. TRIED TO MAKE ME COMMIT TO PAYING THEM $3300, I EXPLAINED I HAVE A EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT BECAUSE HE FELT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY I HAVE WILL TAKE THE CHEAPER ROUTE HE BEGIN TO TREAT ME AS IF WHAT I WAS TELLING HIM DID NOT MATTER! HE THEN TOLD MY EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY I WAS IN A COLLISION WHEN THAT WAS NOT THE CASE! I WAS DRIVING AND MY DRIVE AXLE CAME COMPLETLY OFF I ENDED UP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD! THERE WAS NO COLLISION AT ALL! HE LIED BECAUSE HE WANTED ME TO PAY OUT OF POCKET AND DID NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. GO SOMEWHERE MORE PROFESSIONAL.

Got my clutch done at this location. All good until the pressure plate completely snapped. Took it to another ammco and they told me that during my last clutch replacement, the pressure plate was never replaced and my hydraulics were not bleeded properly so there had been a leak in my bell housing this whole time. Even pointed out that the aamco is to list any parts that the customer does not want to replace, and on the work report, nothing was listed. Long story short I paid $1300 the first time and had to turn around and pay $2285 this time for a new clutch and the added damage. Not happy with how they underlined me and treated me as if I was clueless because of me being young. I tried to reach out to corporate even and they told me they couldn’t honor their warranty because it was 2 days past. I’m big on just being honest when u do something wrong so this situation is gonna hurt their integrity more than it will hurt me. Tbh I don’t have the money for this but money is money. Businesses like these that get away with taking advantage of people are just examples of how corrupt our society has become. They would rather shove somebody under the bus then admit they were in the wrong. Hope nobody else has to experience this.

Hard to give auto shops positive reviews but this one is easy. Can’t say enough great things about this location. I don’t make many reviews for the internet, and I’m not usually one to complain about anything. Life is usually easier that way— but this company.. never again. Firstly, I was told on the phone that if I used their tow, it wouldn’t cost anything if I got my services through them. That was not the case, and it was still added to my bill. I could easily have had my insurance tow it and it wouldn’t have costed me anything. That was my first red flag. Secondly, I was told my issue for sure was a transmission issue. This was believable because my car displayed symptoms of that. It seemed rare for a 2019 Honda to lose its transmission already, but made sense given that my car was stalling out and failing to accelerate. I pay a hefty penny & on with my new transmission. 3 weeks later, my car does the EXACT same thing again. Stalls out, doesn’t accelerate. I call AAMCO back up and they look at it and say it’s not a transmission problem, it’s a coil issue. I explain that if it’s a coil issue today, it was a coil issue weeks ago and a transmission was replaced on my car for no reason. I get argued with and am told it’s not the same thing when I drive the dang car, I know exactly what is wrong with it. They replace my coils and still make me pay for those after making me pay thousands for a new transmission that simply was not faulting. I have decided in my heart to move on but recently have decided to take a complaint to the corporate level, and possibly small claims court. I will tell everyone until the sun goes down that you should get multiple opinions on your car first before trusting one mechanic.

I'm worried about my van dodge promaster 2017 or gear, the wheels were slipping when overtaking, I took it to a store and they informed me that I needed to complete the transmissions for a total cost of 5500.00 dollars with a 3 year or 50 thousand mile warranty. I ordered it. But when they gave me the vehicle after three days of use, it gave me the same problem when overtaking and the transmissions were slipping. It took me 3 weeks to resolve it again, I got the car and now after 2 weeks. I'm having the same problem when I overtake and the transmission slips. This is a danger on the track for the car to go into neutral out of nowhere. I paid the price for a complete job that was even more expensive than a new transmission on the authorized website, which was $4,789.00. I'm not confident and taking it to be fixed because it has the same problem, did they really do the transmission? Because I have the same problem when I took it for the first time at the beginning of October of this year, 2023. It's very difficult to believe since the problem is the same since it first appeared. It leaves me wondering if the full transmission service was actually carried out as paid for. And the problem continues.

I’m giving this location two stars for two reasons: they over charged me by at least a thousand dollars, and they snooped around my vehicle and saw that I owned a transportation business, which is why they charged me more. The transmission shop near them charged $4100 (which sends more accurate) but they couldn’t complete the job for two weeks. I took it to AAMCO while they were closed, so when I talked to the guy over the phone after they diagnosed it, the first thing he said was: I see you have a Transportation business.. How would he have known?! There’s no indication any where in or on my vehicle.. I left my sign rolled up all the way in the last row of the van. There was no reason for any of their employees to be back there! Once he made that comment, I shear knew they were gonna over charge me. He told me it would be over $5500!! Why?! He sat in the phone and priced similar transmissions- they ran about $3200. Labor at 6 hours is only $900. Where did the other $1400 come from?!? The sad thing is I needed my van ASAP so I paid it. I wouldn’t give them my business again or recommend them to anyone.
