Had an appointment for daughters kia for a flush and fill on 2-5-2025 at 9am. Was told to come back at 1pm. Then wad told to come back tomorrow morning. Wasted an entire off day for nothing. We won't be making our 3rd appointment for tomorrow morning. We are going to tonys brake and alignment on poplar level. Before we even get in the door your customer service is lousy. We requested a simple flush and fill and was given the end around sales pitch. Tonys is a great place for car repairs. Have been there numerous times. Never aamco again.

I can't express enough how helpful the manager and the mechanic both were to me. My day started off horribly from another experience with a different company, but both of these gentlemen went above and beyond to help me with identifying my car issue and providing resolutions. I definitely would recommend this location for your mechanical services.

I went in for a free diagnostic check and then had a more detailed diagnostic check for $158. I dropped my vehicle off on a Monday and it wasn’t ready to pick up until that following Friday. The manager told me each day that they should get to it by the end of the day but it wasn’t until Friday that they completed the second check. I understand things come up but the manger would tell me the next day when I would call to check on the progress. During the 5 days my vehicle was at the shop, I discovered that my car wasn’t locked and someone had gotten into my vehicle after my wife drove the car home. There was no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. The vehicle was locked when I dropped the car off that Monday and I double checked it before I left that day. The workers had to get in my vehicle on several different occasions to complete the diagnostic checks and test drive the vehicle. After discovering my vehicle was rummaged through and items stolen, I called the manager. I was upset with the incident and that when I paid for the diagnostic check for $158 that the total bill came out to $181 and some change. I questioned the the increase in price and was told that it was a supplies fee that’s universal even though they didn’t use any supplies to plug the diagnostic tool to the ODO port. When I brought both issues up, I was told by the manager that I was just upset that they said I needed a new transmission for my 2006 Mercury Milan that has 216,xxx miles on it for $6000-$6500 dollars. The cost is more than the car is worth. I was also told that I was upset about the additional supplies fee charge and me voicing my opinion about the issues was making it hard for the manager to want to help me out with the issue of stolen items. I understand that I leave it up there at my own risk but with no forced entry and leaving my car unlocked, that’s when I have a problem. On top of this, the manager didn’t have any professionalism and wanted to keep calling me bro and buddy and insinuating that I was making up the stolen items issue. The only thing the manager said he could do is look at the security cameras the following Monday that only go back 72hrs which would be the Friday I picked up my vehicle. I was told that the cameras can only be viewed by the owner. When I followed up in the following Monday they said they didn’t see anything on the cameras which didn’t surprise me since they were only able to view back to Friday when I picked up the vehicle. The only solution they would offer me is being reimbursed for the supplies fee and that they would talk with the police if I decided to report the stolen items. I would suggest going to any other transmission place for the issues and lack of professionalism that was displayed. I did mention that items were broken and stolen when I spoke to the manager on Friday. Then when I spoke to him again the following Monday I told him I found more items missing because I had time to thoroughly look through the vehicle. I couldn’t fully inspect the vehicle the day I picked the vehicle up because I had to pick up my kids from daycare and school. If you say the vehicles are checked daily to ensure they are secure then explain to me how it wasn’t caught being unlocked or how someone was able to get in my vehicle without any signs of force being used. There’s no markings on trim or doors nor is there any windows broken. It was either left unlocked or a worker had to take items and made it look like someone broke into the vehicle.

Highly recommend this AAMCO location. Eric is extremely helpful and their team provided consistent updates for my service while also going the extra mile to repair adjacent parts to my transmission. They were able to help my wife and I in an urgent situation and it is only because of this team that I could cross country with ease in my freshly repaired truck. Even if this AAMCO location isn't the closest, you're probably better off taking your car here.

Had our RV towed here to have the transmission repaired. After receiving a quote for $8200 dollars, we decided to check elsewhere. They gave us several different quotes and several different completion dates. We were able to find a shop that could do the same work for $3000 less also in Louisville. Obviously, we were going there. When we went back to retrieve our keys so that we could have the rv towed to the other location, they refused to give our keys back at first. They said they had ordered the transmission and someone had to pay for it, and they were not going to give us our keys. After calling around, we found out that it was "illegal" for them to keep our keys and "hijack our vehicle". We were considering calling the police, the news, Ammco corporation! A few minutes later, they came in, threw our keys at us, and told us to get out, they did not want to do business with us. They told us to get off their property. We were happy to comply. We were also happy to save $3000!!!

Hade a tire very low and needed air badly puled into Thornton‘s gas station and tried to use their air pump to air up my tire, which was not working at the time. I drove over to the car shop went inside and asked nicely if they could just put some air in my tire for me quick because the one at the gas station was not working. The owner lied to my face and told me that they do not have any air compressors, hoses or air chucks to blow up a tire. Never heard of a shop with “total car care” in the name not have air to pump up a tire, what else would they be lying to you about when you try to take your car in for repairs? I would not trust them at all!! I proceeded to change my tire and put on my spare in the parking lot of the gas station as I was doing so one of the vary nice mechanics came over and talked with me.

I would highly recommend these guys for transmission or any other work you need done. We were traveling when our transmission went out in Louisville. They went above and beyond to get us back on the road. And the best part was a fair price. They talked me through the whole repair and even have a window so you can watch them work. They also have financing options. They were the friendlyist and most knowledgeable people to work with. They saved our whole trip. Thank you!

I would not recommend this place at all! They over charge you on their hourly rate. They say they go by the book. But that’s not true! Jobs that take only one hour in the book they charge you for two hours (always)! Then they try to push financing to help cover their overcharges. I definitely questioned their honesty.

Had a transmission go bad after 10k miles. Despite delays due to vendors backstock, we got a working transmission back into my truck and it was covered under warranty.

Hated the entire experience with Aamco. Know this they are in the business of replacing transmissions. They do not repair or rebuild transmissions. So you are going to spend $$$$.

I had my engine leak fixed at the latter part of January 2024. This is a huge job, I expected it to take a while. As impatient as I was, I was glad that everytime I called, Eric at the front desk was always very professional and talked to me with optimism! He not only is an excellent representative at the front desk, he also was able to vouch for me against my warranty company when they were denying my coverage. He was able to get them to pay 90% of the charges which was excellent news in light of this inconvenience! Not only did I get my car fixed in a timely manner, but I was able to save $2000. It doesn’t get better than that. 10/10 and thanks for everything!!

$$2,200 IN THE HOLE!! Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had, my car just would not start out of the blue told them it wasn’t getting gas, well after they changed every thing under the hood hoping it would start mind you every time they called they found the problem and this would fix it, well nothing did finally after 3 weeks the decided it was electrical and after 2200 dollars worth of parts and labor they just give up and say were done we’re not an electrical shop. This place use to be top notch!!!! Very disgusting extremely disappointed.

950 for a tune up just to pick up my truck with the check engine light still on and truck running the same as when I dropped it off. Not happy I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!

Eric at Aamco was wonderful! The last thing I wanted to hear was that I would have to get my full transmission replaced but he was extremely helpful. Called around to get me the best price and completely the work within a week. I am so thankful I came to these guys. Keep up the great work and customer service.

I was looking to purchase a vehicle and after looking at the Carfax I saw it was serviced at this location. The service manager took the VIN from me to look into why it was at their shop. After searching it, he took the time to go over with me what was done and looked even further into the carfax for any possible red flags. I really appreciate him taking the time to look into this for me.

I was not pleased with the work I’ve had to go back three time and now my gear shift has went out something that wasn’t happening before they got my vehicle but now I have to pay to have that fixed after I paid to have my transmission replaced that’s still not working
