Kim and Zach, along with their head mechanic Andy provide outstanding service. They are all very knowledgeable and get the job done on time with no surprises. Andy is an awesome mechanic and makes sure the customers are satisfied with his work which is excellent every time.

Excellent service overall. Randy, the mechanic, and Zach & Kim (customer service) swiftly examined and reported what actually needed to be done to keep my car safe and in good working order. I brought my car into Aamco for a 2nd opinion as I was in sticker shock from another service department's report. At Aamco, I was kept well informed along the way, and the price tag was very fair & reasonable. Beyond a standard tune-up, servicing my car, replacing my brake pads & rotors. They allayed my additional repair fears from the 1st eval report which was fictional. Much appreciated.

Our lent car developed transmission issues near Santa Cruz. Had it towed to AAMCO. Dead car 400 miles from home. Panic time. Contacted Zach at AAMCO. He did some extensive research, and came back with three possible options for repair/ replacement. After discussion, he helped us decide it made more sense to donate the vehicle as a write off than to fix. Seriously, who does this? No hard sell, no take it or leave it. Walked us through the donation process and managed all the local affairs for us. I can’t recommend this business and Zach in particular highly enough

Nothing but good things to say about AAMCO Transmission & Total Care, they made it super easy to schedule appointment and get my truck in. They gave me a quote over the phone I was surprised how reasonably priced they were my 1992 Chevrolet truck was in and out in hours would totally recommend to anyone that needs work done on their vehicle. Great customer service kept me informed from beginning to end

So glad I was referred to AAMCO on Ocean street from good friends I trust..Kim and Randy brought back the "small hometown" feeling back and they were so kind and professional. Easy to work with and everyone who heard what my bill was said it was really reasonable considering the work I had done..I wouldn't hesitate one bit to refer anyone to AAMCO..There's a reason why you need to make an appointment. That's a good sign . Glad that locals business owners are doing well though it's a tough business to be in....Thanks again Kim and Randy..I won't havce to think twice about returning.You can bet I will.. I can't make a second review but was so happy with my last visit to Aamco for another great job. I can't thank Kim,Randy and Zach enough for their wonderful service and warranties that come with all parts..You're the best..

Kim and her top mechanic Randy have serviced my van since I had my transmission replaced a few years ago! That’s when I found out they do other car care. They’ve also tuned up my Mazda 3 Sport. Great job. Zack at the front desk is thorough at meeting my needs. I’d recommend this AAMCO to any of my friends.

Just wanted to start and say that it’s hard to choose a place to have your transmission rebuilt because so many things can go wrong. After speaking to Zach and Kim, I felt that going with AAMCO was the right decision. From the beginning to the end it has been a smooth and upfront deal. They never disappointed me to doubting myself I going with them. Well, to the good stuff. Not are they professional and thorough, but a great sense of honesty. That is hard to find. My van runs like a champ. The transition between shifting is effortlessly. I do appreciate their work. Thanks again and do not hesitate to take it to them for any type of work. On a different note, I accidentally gave Zach an extra $50 and after he counted it, he rushed out to give me the extra $50. Great guy and so you see what I mean about honesty. Thanks again.

And, today I just didn’t know where to go & of course I went there & was treated with respect, courtesy & friendliness! ‘Zack’ took care of the problem (along with the technician) and today was no charge! Randy at AAMCO is a LEGEND! My van wouldn't fit in any shop in town, including theirs. Just as I was leaving, Randy offered to do a free diagnostic. He ended up discovering a loose spark plug, and fixed it on the spot for free, saving me days of waiting and calling shops for help. I highly recommend the group here at AAMCO

AAMCO! This is one of the best mechanic shop experiences I’ve ever had. I took my 2006 Chevy Impala in to get it inspected for transmission issues. My situation was a Unique one for the reasons that there was “potential” bodywork needed to be done before they would Proceed. With further inspection we decided to go for it. They worked with me by allowing me to purchase my own subframe from another company which mechanic shops don’t usually do. To make a long story short my Transmission and differential are like new my vehicle is running like a champ, and I’m a happy camper. Truly the best professionals around ! Kim, Randy, and The crew Thank you So Much :)

Don’t do business here. I brought my truck here a couple years ago and thankfully didn’t schedule the 8000+ work they claimed was needed. But my friends haven’t been as fortunate. The woman who owns the place and occupies the service office is literally a crook. I could go on about the incompetent work but what is my chief concern is this woman’s lack of any moral compass wrt money. She will outright steal parts off your vehicle to coerce and extort money she believes herself entitled to. Her pleasant demeanor vanishes the minute she senses there is no money to be fleeced. Avoid this business until there is a change of ownership

Drove all the way from Gilroy to get my transmission serviced here. There was a million and one places I could’ve gone to around the corner from me, but only trusted them. The reviews speak for themselves. My only interactions were with Kim over the phone and in person and she was very nice and knowledgeable! They’re a quality shop!

Even though my car was beyond repair, Kim the owner was so helpful and wonderful. Had to tow my car there from big O tires and Kim even kept it overnight after providing me the details. No charge either. Would recommend definitely

I just had the best experience possible with this shop and its employees! Kim and Randy and everyone at AAMCO were the most professional, knowledgeable, kind, and helpful group I've ever worked with. I have a modified vehicle for disabilities and they found a way to get my van back to me as quickly as possible. My vehicle complicated, but they worked so hard and did whatever was necessary to make sure it was safe and completely fixed. Honestly, I've never had a better experience working with anyone anywhere. I so highly recommend bringing your vehicle to this AAMCO and rest easy knowing you are in the best hands possible. I've gotten work done at this shop and they were extremely kind, transparent, and honest. At a different time many months later, the main guy running the show gave me car advice and looked at some damages for free even though his shop doesn't specially fix these damages. I definitely recommend them!!

best shop in sc hands down!!! and I've been to all of em.😅🤣 Kim is knowledgeable with obvious decades of experience plus friendly, understanding, and accommodating. She’s always ready to make a plan to get your car into tip top shape, prioritized by honesty and YOUR needs! There’s some quality shops on the east side but none with rates as reasonable or comparable customer service. I’ve moved away from Santa Cruz but will always make the drive to this shop for anything above an oil change. Even when Randy just “tops off my fluids” my car drives away feeling better than it did before. They’ve got the magic touch!! So many shady shops in SC.👎 Don’t get duped! Go to Kim!!
