He charged a diagnostic fee of $130 regardless of if I got the repairs and wanted $900 for a new starter. I got it repaired for $500 elsewhere. The cost difference was a result of 1. He was charging for two gaskets when it only took one. 2. He only wanted to use a new starter because he had to warrant it. That drove up the cost a lot($200-$300), remanufactured is a lifetime warranty normally anyways, I would have rather just him not warrant it. 3. Higher amount of labor hours I would say be very guarded and know what you need if you bring a car in. If you bring in a dead car like mine with a dead starter I would suggest you have AAA incase you need to tow your car elsewhere. Edit: Nice response, lol I have a payment on my card for a $130 diagnosis from you, an AAA towing record, and a payment to another shop. Might even have the estimate.

If there was another word for unprofessional, this would describe my encounter here. If you ask a question that goes against his "professional knowledge," you quickly manipulation and insulted. I have never been spoken to like this before in my life,all because I need clarification on his "assumption". He tried to belittle my intelligence and over talk me to get his point across. Before going here, check another location FIRST! BUT I would strongly advice not to at all!

Steve is the best!!!. This shop is the best in Charlotte. Very professional, fast pace but quality service. I refuse to go to anyone else.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with NAPA AutoCare Center, specifically with Steve. He was unprofessional, impatient, and appeared uninterested in helping me. When I asked questions, he lacked the knowledge needed to provide clear answers, and his attitude made it clear he didn’t care about addressing my concerns. I called prior to ask if they replace camshaft sensors. Even though I told him that my engine was less than a year old and I already ran the diagnostics that showed my sensor needed replacing, Steve said I had to come in so he can look at the engine first. I arrive and he then tells me he will need to take my vehicle in to look at it, then I would need to pay for the time for him to look at it, even if they do not have the part in stock. I asked him if he could look to see if they have the part and he told me “I don’t think this shop is a fit for your kind.” I’m not sure what he meant by this but I immediately turned around and walked out before anything escalated from his comment. This was an incredibly frustrating experience, and I hope the NAPA AutoCare Center addresses this behavior to ensure better customer service in the future.

I took my vehicle into the shop this morning to possibly have a tune-up, an oil change, and a few other services done. Before I state my thoughts on the service, I will give a little back story. I went into the shop with the intention of possibly finding a new mechanic. I have one that I trust and who has worked on my and my family's cars for years. However, I recently moved. So, I've been searching around where I live to possibly build a relationship with a closer mechanic. Starting off, Steve was very courteous and entered my information into the system with ease, as well as having the availability to check my car out right there that morning. It didn't take him long to check it out and decide a quote for the service. I was quoted ~688 to have an oil change, spark plug replacements, and an air filter replacement. Now, I'm not an expert on cars, but I do know enough to be dangerous....I thought it was a bit high. So, I asked Steve for a few minutes so I could "call a friend." I reached out to my trusted mechanic, whom I've built a relationship with. He didn't respond, so I shot him a text message asking for his advice on what the price range should be for the service I wanted done. I did not tell him any of the price information that Steve gave me on the quote he made. I wanted an unbiased response. So, he had my car information and the services I needed to develop a quote. His quote was over 200 cheaper than what Steve was asking for. I figured if Steve is charging high for these services, what may be his charges on other services I need for my vehicle in the future. At this point, I had only advised Steve to perform an oil change on my car while I waited for my mechanic to get back to me on his thoughts. So, when I told Steve that the oil change is all I want based on the advice my friend gave, he made a few comments that were distasteful, and it showed me that maybe he wasn't the mechanic for me. I'll let you decide based on your thoughts. Steve said: our prices are higher because we use quality parts, not something that a random friend could give you from working on your car in a backyard or something. My response was: My friend is a certified mechanic with his own shop. Steve said: So, why didn't you go to him then. My response was: you're closer. I'm giving Steve 3 stars only because I understand that sometimes people have bad days. This could've been one of his. I did not appreciate his comments, but I do not know if it is his nature to be this way at all times. He only performed an oil change on my car, which was higher than I generally pay for as well. But it was a job that was done quickly.

There are a few "service" relationships you need in your life to know that you are getting the best care you need, nothing extra that you don't need, and getting charged fairly. Your doctor should probably be at the top of that list - your auto-mechanic has to be close behind on that list. Fortunately for me, I've been going to Steve & the team at Accurate Automotive for over 15 years and they have always taken excellent care of me and my vehicles over the years. They have worked on my domestic and import cars, and the results have always been great. I've referred several friends, and they always come back to me with thanks and praises for Accurate Automotive.

Rude service representative Steve, when I called to get cost information for replacing struts and shocks. He was more worried about working on other cars that he had in the shop than earning my business. He hung up on me during our discussion on the phone. I have used this place in the past but will never return. They just lost me as a customer. They need to learn some customer service and how to speak to people.

Steve is a pleasure to work with! I have been taking my vehicles to him for about 8 years now and he has always come through for me. He recently came through last week for me, in a pinch and was able to plug my tire without an appointment and very expeditiously. And I really appreciated that. He has recently worked on my foreign vehicle for a complex repair, and has done a fantastic job! I would recommend Steve and Accurate Automotive to all of my friends here in Charlotte!!

Great place. I recently brought my car in for what I thought was a gas leak. Steve and his crew were very helpful from start to finish. They checked my car extensively, and it turned out that I didn't have an gas leak. Great customer service. Would recommend 👍🏽👍🏽

First class shop! Steve and his team at Accurate Automotive have been working on my various cars for many years. They do great work and they stand behind their work. Their pricing is very fair and they hustle to get work done quickly. I had stopped by the gas station next door and was driving slowly around the corner of the building in front of this auto repair garage. I heard a loud POP and the vehicle was making thump thump thump sound as it moved forward. I stopped to examine it and there was a large piece of metal sticking in my rear tire. So I turned around and went into the shop looking for the manager on duty. I told the manager that my tire picked up a large piece of metal in front of their shop and if they had an insurance. They starting laughing at my face and said cars get flat tires all the time and they cant do anything about it. I asked again “since it happened on your property can I ask for your insurance?” The manager laughed again and said “its not my property but the gas station’s.” Ok How would I have known that? I was not asking for a special treatment. The damage was done on a private property and I was only asking nicely for their insurance info. The manager couldve just said “Im sorry that happened but the parking lot is owned by the gas station not us.”

I was calling around to see what the charge would be to look at my car. Steve was so pleasant on the phone that I decided to bring it in this morning asking IF possible that a diagnosis be given before my afternoon appointment elsewhere. I received a call sooner than expected and was very pleased with Steve's honesty and willingness to help. In the future I will not hesitate to return!!!

My experience with accurate automotive was superb!! Everything from them explaining what I need, to explaining the time it would take to fix it, coming back checking in, informing me of where they were in the process, to the breaking down of charges. They were prompt, professional, friendly, and MOSTTTT importantly for me as a woman seeking automotive repair HONEST!! They told me what I did and DID NOT need, as well as when they recommended I get something else checked on for optimum safety of my jeep. Added bonus they text a week later to make sure their repairs were excellent. Can't beat that!! In other words runnnnnn there for your repairs you will not regret it.

Steve is my regular mechanic. I took my Jeep to the dealer because I thought it was under warranty and ended up broken down due to negligence with no warranty. Steve had my Jeep up and running in no time. Grateful he is trustworthy.

very pricey and Rude I blew the heads on my truck he quoted me a price $6.000 another mech did the work for $6.00.00 I went back to him for moore repairs and the rudeness did'nt stop 😡 when you pay for service u should listen to the customer first before you cut them off.
