We have been going to Andy now for the better part of 2+ decades (my wife's father has been coming to him long before I started to). Andy is as good as they come. The shop itself isn't glitz and glamour, but I am fine with that. When it comes to working on my car, I'm not about the marketing glitz (and you shouldn't be either). Andy also has a long time employee that has worked with him ever since I started going to Ace - that in itself should tell you something! Andy is as honest and fair as they come. He will tell everything to you straight, give you a holistic assessment, and then leave the decision up to you. There are never any surprises, and all costs are 100% upfront. Andy even performs smog checks and the pricing is great on those as well (without the need to find / print coupons or wait for specials). Ace Auto is a small shop and he works on a lot of cars, so I recommend making an appointment before you see Andy. If you don't, just be willing to bring your car back to be worked on. Also, I've seen Andy work on all types of cars, including Japanese, Korean, American, German, etc. Many years ago, when we owned a Mini Cooper, Andy is so honest, he told us to take the car somewhere else has he didn't have all the special equipment (which he does now). If you're still skeptical, just come for a competing quote and Andy's assessment. You will not be disappointed.

Mr.Kwon could diagnose the brake issue and resolve it quickly. The repair cost was also reasonable.

I have been using Ace since 2008. Owner Andy Kwon is the most honest mechanic I've ever done business with. Never tries to sell unnecessary repairs. Never overcharges. In fact, tells you not to fix or wait longer if not needed. I trust him so much that when I drop off my car, my order is 'please check and fix whatever you see fit and just bill me later.' Even then, if the bill is going to be a bit pricey he always calls me to check if he should proceed.

I has used this service center for last five years. Mr. Kwon is the honest mechanic and don't lie to charge. He says it is OK, if you don't need to fix. And service charge also reasonable. I trust him whatever he talked to me about car.

Amazing!!! I have tried more than a few autoshops around this area and this one is by far the best. Always uses top quality parts, always priced 20-30% lower than other shops and works unbelievably fast. Just today, I went in for a oil change, shocks, break pads and break disk change and he finished in 90 minutes. On top of that he fixed my leaking coolent for no additional cost. Seriously most honest mechanic I met. I just had to write this.
