Wow. I stopped into Action Auto today to ask them to put some air in one of my tires. They found that my valve cover was falling off and then we didn’t have the tire lock key…I was worried it was turning into a thing. After waiting a bit the big handsome man at the front desk came and told me”ok, Suzy we got you covered today! Just come back for an oil change or something sometime” As a newly single woman going through a separation after 22 yrs I am terrified of what’s to come but today Action Auto gave this chick a win she needed and some reassurance. Thank you so much and I will be back!

Do not come here if you want to have someone pick you back up & give you your car back for the weekend. My mother-in-law arrived around 8am on a Friday and they gave her an estimate of 2 hours to work on it. They dropped her off at a near library where she waited. 10:30am comes around and they call & tell her they won’t be able to work on the vehicle that day. They asked if she’s fine with the vehicle staying over the weekend and she tells them no because she needed to use it this weekend. She informed them to call her when they are on their way so that she can be packed up and ready when they arrive. 5.5 hours pass and they still didn’t come. She called repeatedly since 4pm because they were closing within an hour but still, nothing. Me and my husband had to come pick her up at the library after closing because that’s the only time we were available to do so. They completely abandoned her and did not listen to their customer when she said no to keeping it. That is completely unacceptable and terrible customer service.

Came here because reviews were good and they worked on a few repairs that I needed. When I first brought it in I mentioned that the power steering pump was going bad after they looked at it they said it was just the hoses leaking. After I paid and the repair was complete they mentioned that the pump was going bad as well which I had mentioned initially and would’ve gotten taken care of that the same time. I also got my car back in worse condition than when I brought it in, when I pulled away I could barely turn my car steering wheel and had to bring it back in because turning the wheel should’ve been and was way easier before. The guy who works the counter mentioned that if you throttle the vehicle it would be easier to turn but you shouldn’t have to throttle a car to make it turn better. Ultimately he said they flushed the system and put new fluid in and normally they charge 177$ for that service and he wasn’t going to charge me. but it was turning fine before I brought it in so clearly they didn’t charge me because they missed something in the repair process. The service was fast but unfortunately they would’ve let drive off with my car in worse condition had I not said anything.

I have been coming here for almost a decade now. This is the only shop I ever let touch my Mustang and now F-150. They're professional and courteous and the work is always worth every penny. Battery replacement and 3rd tail light assembly replacement today gives me the opportunity to rave about them. Even something as minor as oil changes I come here for! -Justin

My check engine light was on so my truck did not pass emissions. I called Action and was able to bring my vehicle in the next morning. They sent a quote for repairs via text message which I liked. I approved the repairs by responding to the text message. Truck was fixed by the end of the same day, I will use them again for sure!

With as many car repair shops as there are in the area, it has been difficult for me to find one that I am as satisfied with as I am Action Auto. Friendly service spot on diagnosis and a price I trust.Ive had my vehicles serviced by several repair facilities throughout the valley but none have satisfied me with service or pricing as Action Auto has .

This place is so AWESOME. After dealing with a different shop who had my car for over 3 wks and still wasn't fixed and needed to pass emissions we brought it in to Johnny and told him everything that had happened. By the end of the day we knew what was wrong and how much it would cost and they even took it through emissions for me. Most honest, friendly shop I have ever dealt with and will always bring my car to them and refer all my family and friends to them. Can't say enough at how AWESOME everybody we dealt with here were. Thank you again.

Absolutely amazing! Honest and quick work. I had a few expensive repairs needing done and had several quotes and didn’t trust anyone by the time I started to remember “under the hood w/Mark Salem” immediately Auto Action Repair came up. I must have called 15 times with questions and each time I was treated the exact same way. I would tell Chey had a smile each time she answered and Johnny was super pleasant as well. My husband and I want to thank everyone involved for the fair pricing, quality work and fantastic customer service

I have taken my cars to Action Auto for a little over a year now and I will never go anywhere else. I am a single mom, with no knowledge of how to work on cars, so being able to trust a mechanic is very important and Johnny and the Action Auto staff have always been honest and fixed whatever I needed for a fair price. I highly recommend.

Had a good experience with this shop. Wasn't crazy about spending about 5k in 2 months on car repairs but feel like the guys here are trustworthy. I liked the fact that I was picked up by the shuttle and they had great communication!

Overpriced, bad customer service ( do not reply to emails) and identified the wrong problem, and messed up a simple thermostat which if fairly alarming. I am easy going and Everyone at action auto is fairly nice, however last May they "fixed" my thermostat in my 02 Durango. they did not seal it properly and it kept overheating, i took it back and they fixed something else for 600 dollars, then it overheated again..Took it to another mechanic and he immediately fixed the thermostat for half the price and let me know the error, truck is fine now. even pulled out the therm and showed me what went wrong. I sent a kind email with photos and details and received no help. Moral of the story is, they charged double for the thermostat so likely overpriced, they do not reply to emails so no customer service and they misdiagnose. probably avoid unless you are a regular, or enjoy small claims court.

** update 2024...i am now going here for my auto service. johnny & shaya are very customer focused & a pleasure to deal with. shuttle service a plus. their rewards program is a nice incentive as well. Just wanted to say i sincerely thank you for giving me a estimate on cost of repairs for my crown vic and detailing what absolutely needed to be done for safety and what can possibly wait. ashley has been super on the phone and in person. definitely will come back if i end up getting a used car for a free pre-car inspection. i couldn't have asked for more. i may even decide to go here from now on instead of around the corner to my local repair shop (who has been great btw).

Customer service experience is definitely 5 stars. They are detailed and gave an estimated time frame of completion and exceeded the time frame. They offered to take me home, which I politely declined so i could exercise and walk my dog. (Side note and bonus points they are also dog people). They ordered my parts the day before my appointment to insure they had them ready. They called me once they had my truck up on the lift and an inspection completed to let me know what they found. The overall experience evaluation is they have a customer for as long as I am in the valley. Support local, support small business.

I loved this place! I made an appointment for a body shop on accident when I meant to make an appointment for a mechanic. I took time off of work and really needed my car fixed, and this place was able to get me in immediately and had my car done the very next day. It's been great since then, prices were reasonable, and they were super friendly. They also gave me a ride home! I'm new to Phoenix and even though I have mechanics closer to home, this place will be my new go-to. Thank you!

I've moved to the area recently and needed a trusted repair shop, I took a chance on the Action Auto based on favourable google reviews. I'm glad I discovered such a gem of a place. From the get-go they were professional, pleasant, accomodating, and fast, and to top it off, they were very honest and affordable, which is so major that I truly feel lucky. Things could have gone bad if I went somewhere else. I had a weird noise coming from the front of my car and my first thought was it could be my brakes, or suspenssion ( or who knows what other 100 little or serious issues as well). They could have told me whatever they wanted and I would have to take their word for it, but instead they told me to do an oil change, (since mine was low,) start there, and see if that resolves my problem. Lo and behold, it did the trick. No costly diagnostics, or smoke and mirrors game , just an honest advise, a prudent approach, and keen eyes of seasoned professionals to handle my car like an A team. I must admit that not keeping tabs on my oil level was pretty foolish of me, and that could have tempted anyone to take an advantage of someone seemingly clueless, and yet I was in great hands that did not fail. Thank you everyone at Action Auto, from the front to the back of the shop everyone was wonderful.

Quite simply the best shop in the valley. There is no gray area... There by the book and will take care of you completely. Customer service is over the top. And that's why I keep coming back. In the past 2 years I spent over $10,000 at the shop and I'm proud to say so. This is a very very good business.

Shame on me for not getting other quotes for service needed or insisting on a detailed understanding of the estimate I was given which increased about 30% from what I was initially told, with no change in what was to be done.After the fact I checked other sources and found I may have paid 25-30% more than was typical for the same service. The only reason for two stars is the repairs appear to have been successful.
