I have been having major issues with my transmission and unfortunately going to a mechanic is not an option. I have a friend that has been working on my transmission, but he went to A&E and they gave him advice, transmission fluid and he was able to order parts from them. They were extremely supportive, caring, informative and most helpful. I highly recommend at least talking to these people. They are professional and helped us knowing we had no money. Good job guys.

Satisfied and impressed! Great communication during & after service! My Jeep was fixed exactly when they said it would be. My final bill matched the initial quote they gave. Convenient 24-7 drop off & pick up! They alerted me of a couple other issues on my vehicle, and when I declined those services they actually fixed one of the issues for free🤯

These people are very nice, personable, professional, and transparent. They worked on my Classic Lincoln Continental and got it running after two other Shops failed to do so over a 3 month period of time. They told me that if I ever have any issues with the repair, that I can drop it back off anytime so that they can correct the problem. Great Auto Repair Shop!

I would definitely choose A&E Automotive again for vehicle repair. Thanksgiving evening I scheduled an appointment using the online scheduling and didn’t expect to hear anything until the next day. I was surprised when I got a follow up text from Ally about 5 minutes later. The following morning I dropped off the family van and was given a ride back to my house. The repairs were done the same day and exactly as quoted. Overall excellent experience

My son took his 2015 Ford Edge in a couple weeks ago cause it needed the water pump replaced. According to the mechanic this was going to be very labor extensive due to having to remove several parts to get to the pump. When the car was ready to be picked up, the cost was almost $6000. WOW! The next day we noticed the AC was not blowing cool air. Took it back and they did something to repair the problem. Said it was due to having to remove so many parts to replace pump. A day or two after we picked it up, AC still wasn't working. So we took it back and they told us that while addressing the AC issue, they noticed transmission leaking. That repair was $1079.66 with a 3% credit card charge for paying over the phone. This was NOT disclosed to me when I paid. I saw it on the receipt!!! Bottom line is that this company should NOT be trusted. When the initial repair was done, seems like something else went wrong. We will NEVER use them again and definitely not recommend them to any one.

Check engine light came on while we were a few miles south of Waxahachie. A&E was the first repair shop we came to. Quick diagnosis but replacement parts wouldn't arrive till next day. We enjoyed overnight and hanging out. Repairs completed on time and reasonably priced.

My 2003 Yukon Denali XL wouldn't pass inspection because the monitor would not reset. I took it in, looked at it and said it is not throwing any codes, just the monitor wouldn't reset. They didn't charge me and told me to drive it till the monitor reset. It never reset and my check engine light came on, so instead of clearing it myself, I took it back in and they finally had something to troubleshoot. They found the problem and fixed it. My car passed inspection and the fuel milage and performance improved too. The parts were expensive, but the labor was very reasonable. I recommend A&E for all of your automotive needs. I am a repeat customer and I can honestly say that they stand behind their work.

Took my truck in 3 weeks ago with a leak. I called 2 days later and was told it had a leak. Told they would order part Monday. The following Thursday I called to check and was told the converter was leaking also and I told them to fix it. The following week I called to check on it and was told it would be ready Friday noon. I go by Friday @3 and was told the part just came in this morning and it would be ready next Monday. All interaction with this business had to be initiated by me. I would have given a lower rating but one star was lowest available.

We had the transmission rebuilt for my 2016 Tahoe less than a year ago at a different shop but it was messed up again just as bad as before. We decided to take it to A&E this time and they did a great job! They were very upfront and honest with us, did not do anything without our ok, even apologized for the situation with the other shop. Wish we had went to them the first time around. Great family owned small business! I highly recommend their service!

Excellent service. I know nothing about cars and Edwardo was patient and understanding. They ended up charging me less than they said it would be. They stayed in contact with me and let me know everything going on step by step. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.

I brought my truck in to A&E Transmission thinking something was wrong with my transmission. After the diagnosis it turned out NOT to be my transmission but other much smaller issues (they do more than just transmissions). I love the fact Eduardo and his staff were honest! That was very refreshing! My truck is running like a top... nice and smooth at that. I highly recommend A&E Transmission shop to any and all who like honest and high quality workmanship. I am very happy I found them and will not hesitate to come back when I need other repairs. You will not be disappointed. One more thing... I forgot the nice lady's name in the front office handling all the paperwork... she provide absolutely outstanding customer service. Yes I'm back. In June 2024, my power steering went out. I had my vehicle towed to A&E. Once again, a job well done and again another recommendation of their quality work!

Took my truck for gas cap and abs lights. They did a smoke test to make sure no leaks in evap system. Replaced 2 sensors and Replaced both abs sensors. Very professional I like the text with everything broke down. Definitely would use again.

Let me start by saying that I see a complaint here and the response given to another customer that “you and your wife agreed to pay”. Sometimes people pay in order to leave and never deal with a business again. My experience with this shop and owner was that a part was brought in from us and he said it does not fit and then informed my husband that he would alter the part to fit. He then came back and said the part didn’t fit. My husband ordered another part and brought it to the shop and he then could complete the service. Not once did he mention “hey I will be charging you for the labor although I did not succeed with my alteration” Once we come in and discussed price he admits that there was no communication but that “I gave a discount on that labor” instead of sorry for the inconvenience of charging for something I did not openly discuss and have you agree to. To me this was poor customer service to not take accountability for the mistake that was made by making it RIGHT. He told us he usually doesn’t take outside parts. That’s fine and dandy IF the communication was there about charging double for the labor. Again it’s the customer service that was NOT given after the mistake was acknowledged. He basically said “I didn’t communicate I was going to charge for this but be happy I discounted the price” We will never return. You can save the sassy response unless you are willing to refund the service fee.

The company is not transparent with this pricing. Instead of advising me that they do not install parts that the customer brings, Eduardo calls and tells me that the part may not fit. In addition to that, he asked me if I was okay with him cutting the piece to fit. I agreed but only after asking him how confident he was in doing that kind of job. Come to find out the part didn’t fit so, so I dropped off another set that would fit and he installed them. I only found out the day that my car was finished that he charged me twice for labor. Most businesses that claim to be transparent 1) would give the disclaimer upfront that their are stipulations when you bring your own parts 2) wouldn’t ask to alter a part that the customer brings in 3) would at least give you a heads up that if this does not work, you will be charged again (twice) for the work. I paid over 1500 USD to replace control arms, O2 sensor, and an oil change for a 2013 Nissan Altima. And to top everything off, they don’t even accept American Express but of course, there’s not sign or display that mentions that either. The kind women in the office seemed to at least be empathetic. Eduardo was very matter of fact about the situation. 100 percent would never recommend this place. Edit: That same day, Eduardo did give me a call to notify me that they will be issuing a refund for charging me the extra labor cost. I will at the very least give him credit for trying to make it right.

They were willing to help me write on the spot I was on the road traveling to spend a vacation with my sister and their services were great they even had someone drive me to Walmart and somewhere to eat while I was waiting for my vehicle and they helped me with the payment plan that was very great for them may God bless their business

This is the only auto shop in Ellis county that I will never do business with again. A&E put a new alternator on my wife’s car. When we arrived to pay I asked them for a part number and brand name so I could know what was put in. They steadfastly refused to tell me what they installed and kept insisting that they had no way to figure out the part number. I asked them to look it up on the same system as which the part was ordered. Again they refused. The charge for the parts was marked up well over 100% but again, there is no way to know for sure, as we still can’t find out what they installed. I’ve done business with auto shops who mark up their parts and I understand that it is common practice in the industry. This is the first shop I’ve come across that has refused to disclose what part they installed. Also by far the highest parts markup I’ve seen. There are many honest auto repair shops in the area. I would recommend any of one them over A&E.

This shop is awesome. I just moved to waxahachie and needed my ac fix. I have had two other repair shops look at it. This shop fix it in ine day and called to check weeks later to see if everything was OK. I will recommend them to anyone. Friendly caring service with affordable pricing.
