Second update, these guys replaced my alternator and did a good job. My car wouldnt start shortly after and they replaced the radiator, Then my car wouldnt start again so they replaced the line to the radiator from my coolant. Then the car wouldnt start again so they towed it for me. I never called the tow company. His business provided this as a service to me. The tow com o any damaged my vehicle HEAVILY. The owner of the aj auto ACTUALLY tried to make me pay for the damages the tow company caused. I reminded him that HIS BUSINESS called them as a service provided. NOT ME, HIS BUSINESS! Then after all was "repaired" I went to pick up my vehicle from their lot and it wouldn't even start. They hadn't even test driven the vehicle, they literally shaped the part they thought was messed up and called me to say it's fixed. The protective shield on the bottom of the engine was damaged by the tow company and had to be completely removed. Instead of fixing it and being honest he NEVER TOLD US IT WAS MISSING. I had to look under my car and just notice that it was gone. Finally, when I had asked repeatedly for quotes on the stuff I did have to pay for he decided to just work on the vehicle and not give me a quote. Then he would call me up say the vehicle is finished and how much I owed. He did that to me TWICE and he did it to my mom! When she brought her car in because it was making a grinding noise he had said it was all fixed and ready to go. When she picked the car off the lot and drove away the dame noise was there. They never repaired it. My car was a white Lexus hers was a blue mazda, so he can't say I'm not in his records my name Is Kirk Wilkes. This owner of this company is a con artist and a thief.

I love going to AJ auto because he is always willing to work with you and he is very trustworthy on the work he does and the price he charges. I have brought many cars to him and he has done wonderful work on all my cars. Aj auto is my main mechanic shop that I always call for advice and take my car to him.

I’m honestly baffled at how this shop has so many 5-star reviews. Let me share my experience to caution others who might consider using their services. I initially hired my regular mechanic to swap out my ABS control module. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to remove one of the screws without risking damage, so he recommended John at AJ Auto. Trusting the referral, I brought my vehicle in the next day, explained the situation, and asked them to swap out the old ABS module with the new Cardone module I had purchased from AutoZone. A few hours later, John called and claimed the brand-new Cardone ABS module was the wrong part, that it couldn’t be programmed, and insisted I needed an OEM module from the dealer. He quoted $250 for a failed programming attempt and $300 for swapping in the part, even though he said it wouldn’t work. This immediately felt off, so I decided to pick up my car and find another, more honest mechanic. But when I arrived, John changed his tune, suggesting the issue wasn’t the ABS module at all but possibly a dirty sensor or another unrelated issue. Against my better judgment, I let them perform a diagnostic scan with their $20,000 scanner to “pinpoint” the problem. Friday passed without an update, so I called Monday morning. John then informed me the scan confirmed the ABS module was bad—something I had suspected all along. However, he doubled down on claiming my new Cardone module wouldn’t work, and I needed to purchase a $2,250 OEM module through his “custom connection,” including programming. At this point, I was beyond frustrated. First, they misled me about the problem, insisted my module was incompatible, and pushed me toward an outrageously expensive solution. Second, what should’ve been a 10-20 minute process turned into a drawn-out ordeal. When I told them I’d simply pick up my car, they charged $145 for the scan (despite initially claiming it wasn’t the ABS module) and attempted to charge an additional $125 for labor. They ended up waving the labor fee after breaking one of the screws during removal. After this exhausting experience, I took my car home. With the help of another mechanic, we swapped out the ABS module in under 10 minutes. Using my $600 XTool D8 scanner from Amazon, we programmed the module successfully. My car is now running perfectly—speedometer, mileage, fuel status, and acceleration restored. This repair shop tried to take advantage of me every step of the way, overcomplicating a simple process to pad their bottom line. If I hadn’t done my research or had technical knowledge, I would’ve been scammed out of thousands of dollars. I can only imagine how often they exploit other hardworking people who trust them. Please consider this your warning. Think twice before bringing your vehicle here. You deserve better.

This was by far the best experience I have had at any auto shop. My car began to shake and my check engine light was flashing. I called based off the slew of positive reviews. John answered and spoke with me about the issue, told me when to drop it off, and explained the process. His team got to my car earlier than they had anticipated and by the next day at lunch I was picking it up. John and his team members were all ridiculously kind, personable, and thoughtful. They even cleaned my air filter and fixed a light that was dangling without charging me. I will 100% be back and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

AJ Auto does exceptional work! I would recommend them to anyone. Got a tank full of bad gas. 10 + gallons. They were able to empty the tank, flush the system, and get me back on the road in a matter of a few days. Thank you gentlemen for your expertise!

Brought my Traverse in due to fuel modulator was bad. They ran a diagnostic and informed me what was bad, gave me a quote and fixed it within 2 hours. Highly recommend them.

I was on vacation with my family and got broke down at a parts store, they helped me get my vehicle to their shop, was very thorough and efficient when making repairs to my vehicle. Was willing to help me with my family's needs while we waited and was more than fair on the price of repairs. They were a real blessing to us through the entire experience and came highly recommended by the local parts store. Thank you Aj auto and staff for everything you all did, God bless!

MAN!!!! These guys were sent from Heaven above, I promise!! First off, they don't even take walk-ins because they're so booked up with cars to fix. However, I did not know that when I decided to have my truck dropped off by a tow truck to this place. Right when we pulled in two guys walked out and I briefly told them what was going on with my truck. John (the owner), was so nice and helpful, he let me know about how they're not taking walk-ins right now but that he was going to go ahead and get my truck in the bay right that second and fix it and get me on the road again. So, as we sat in his office so he could get my information into the system, I was needing to call my wife but my phone was dead. John got me a charger and when my wife didn't answer I told him I was just gonna get an Uber. He said to cancel the Uber because he could run me home on his way to run some errands. I thought that was very nice of him and very convenient for me. So he helped me get some stuff out of my truck and load it into his and we got on the road. About two miles down the road he got a call from the shop. It was about my truck. They already fixed it!!! It was an easy fix and John said that I didn't have to pay for it!!! I was thrilled because a starter and labor is not cheap. We turned around right then and he took me back to my truck so I could get home. I didn't catch the mechanic's name who actually found the wire that had come loose from the starter and reattached it, but he was super nice and transparent about what he did and how he fixed it. He said that they ain't there to overcharge and lie to their customers. And that is indeed the truth!! I'm so glad I chose that shop when I did or I'd probably be about $400 out-of-pocket right now because somebody else would have said the starter needed replaced and yada yada yada. Anyways, long review but they are worth every keystroke!!! Thank you John and crew!!!! I definitely recommend this place to anyone for any and all car repairs!!! 10 stars!!

Had my radiator installed and These guys are the real deal. Work was professional and done right. My bill was $195.00 and some change. Mr John Kline really blessed me and the bill was covered and I didn't have to come out of pocket. He told me to pass on the help to others. I highly recommend 💯

These people are the best I’m from out of town and they were able to help me get my vehicle running everybody else said it was gonna take 2 to 3 days they had me going the same day back on the road to finish my trip they are so polite so courteous extremely helpful and they know exactly what they’re doing great mechanics great owner great people I cannot say anything about it but other than they’re so great

5 stars aren't nearly enough! John and Amy and AJ Auto deserve 10 stars, even more! We broke down on I-40 and fortunately we connected with John (mainly because he answered his phone after closing time!). His expertise combined with his diagnostic abilities meant that he was able to quickly determine the problem and get it fixed. John's understanding kindness made our experience memorable. I'm almost glad we broke down!

I was traveling just outside of Oklahoma City when my alternator went out. Insurance towed my Jeep to AJ Auto. I called them the next morning to explain why my car was there and I was blown away by the level of service provided by John. I wish every car repair was as seamless as John made it out to be. Considering I was traveling, getting back on the road was my main concern and whether or not I was a priority for AJ Auto, John made me feel as though I was. He had me back on the road by lunch time and had the repair done an hour and half before he told me it would be completed. One of his guys picked me up from my hotel, saving me the cost of an uber. In addition to the impeccable service, the pricing was better than I had anticipated. Given my previous car repair experiences I was shocked at how great AJ treated me. I can't speak highly enough about this auto shop. I wish I was local, because they would be my go to shop. Thoroughly impressed! A+

I'd give these guys 10 stars if it was an option. They bent over backwards for us. Our AC went out on our road trip to California. They were busy, but stopped what they were doing- looked at our car- agreed to fix it- went on manhunt looking for the part- found it, fixed it and we were on the road again within a couple of hours. They were hospitable as they turned on the ac in the waiting room and offered us water or lemonade. They were reasonable and honest and fair. John and Matt were amazing!! I highly recommend AJ Auto. I just wish they had a shop in Southern California. Thank you guys! We made it back to California and the AC worked perfectly!

My ac went out on my way to Arizona, they pushed everything aside and helped, took us in immediately, they got it looked at in couple minutes and ordered the part in blink of an eye. They also worked with us on the price. I highly recommend you guys to this business. I wish they were in Ohio. Very friendly and helpful They are a great team

The owner of the shop knows what he is doing and shows human kindness. He swapped my entire engine and and got my car running, and when I needed rides he made sure I was able to get to my car and didnt charge me any extra. I will use his shop to do all the work on my car from now on. And my dog didn't bark or growl at him. At all.

We live in Arkansas and was on a family trip in OKC when our vehicle started to give us problem. We went to AJ’s first thing Monday morning, he was able to tell us what was wrong, and got us fixed up right away. L AJ is professional, honest, and reasonable. He is a life saver! He doesn’t understand how much of blessing he was for us. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

While on a business trip driving through OKC the driveline fell out of my Tahoe. I called many shops and no one had the time to help except for John and Mathew at AJ mechanic! These men were very professional, time efficient, and their customer service is impeccable. I’ve never had a mechanic shop treat my family so well. There isn’t a more trustworthy shop out there and no one I would rather spend my money with.
