I had a mysterious problem regarding the engine on my 2000 Nissan Frontier with sudden racing (high tachometer readings) occurring at random and terrible starts after a full stop at intersections. The racing engine did not link to the transmission, thankfully, but it was problematic. Gary put the diagnostic scan tool connected and test drove the truck with me in the passenger seat. They were able to determine the problem as a faulty Throttle Position Sensor. They replaced the sensor, made adjustments, and cleared the scan tool codes in a reasonable time. It's like driving a new truck now. The repair is fantastic. I trust both my vehicles to Alamo Heights Garage and appreciate that they are not overcharging for repairs.

Been a loyal customer of this family owned business for close to 13 years. Have received nothing but exceptional service on all four vehicles. I have been using Alamo Heights Garage for years. Gary & Darla are always very honest and fair which is hard to find in this day and age. Ann and Matthew also make for an excellent office staff and always make you feel welcome. I will continue to use and recommend them over any dealership or any other private mechanic. Gary is a master of his craft and I always leave feeling like I'm driving a brand new vehicle. Thank you guys!

Thank you to Gary, Darla, Mathew, Ann and Andrew for taking care of me! July 31st, 2023 I brought my 2017 Buick Encore for an electrical issue that I never had seen or heard of before. Gary was able to diagnose and repair the multiple issues the car had. I was initially worried because I had only had the car a few months. My car runs great now. One of the best shops out there, we take all of our vehicles to them. Strong recommendation, Detailed and thorough! They also provide reports with photos, explanations, and links as to the importance of the recommended repairs. I've delt with Gary, Matthew, and Ann. A very outstanding team!

Again! They fixed my car and were fast and polite. Expert professional work! ********* The Alamo Heights Garage has been my go to place for over 12 years. They have kept my car going and in good repair those years. Also the friendliest and considerate staff make car problems easier to manage. Really liked the app they use to show pictures of what needs to be repaired. Great job all around.
