If I could give zero stars I would. The service on my vehicle appears to be good but the actual customer service is nonexistent. The shop had my car for over four months for a simple engine swap. Every time I would ask about my vehicle I was told it would be ready “tomorrow” or “next week”. I kept getting empty promises and hollowed words not to mention the constant forwarding of my phone calls and taking days/weeks to reply. It may be an alright tire shop but please take your vehicle to an established engine repair shop if you care about your vehicle and time because four months for a twenty hour job is not worth the stress. The price was alright but if I knew it would take that long I would’ve paid the extra grand to get it done in a timely matter at a better shop. If your vehicle is there and you’re having doubts and it’s already been a while, please pull your vehicle and get it done at a more professional shop. 0/10 don’t recommend. Update 11/16/24 check engine light popped up, DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!!!! Not even a week later and this happens. This shop is a joke.

Alex, Carlos, and Orlando are the most friendly people. They are priced very reasonably and explains so you can understand. I will continue to work with them.

Don't trust this guy, I took my truck to get an over haul, and all he did was repair the driver's side cylinder head. And he kept saying that he did. And he paid another mechanic to do the over haul. But, I paid him 3,700. I've asked to give me the other mechanics name and address, but no luck.. . All I wanted was for him to be fare and charge for the work he. He doesn't answer my calls or text. Please be very careful. Here are the pictures you can clearly see that one side is done and not the other. Meaning y hat my engine was never pulled out.

I had a flat and pulled into this shop. The mechanics were helpful from the start. The owner helped me get back on the road. I even bought 4 new (much needed) tires for a reasonable price.

Great shop!! They replaced the whole engine in my suv did a great job in a timely manner!! No complaints at all and they were the best price in town!!! Definitely will be going back for anything else that happens. 5 stars highly recommend

I had my engine changed on my 2005 mustang Alex was one of the best if not the greatest mechanic to ever service my car I would recommend him for any car that need work done to it , reliable, communication was great and offered me great deal . Thanks for great service Alex

They fixed my friends engine last year, and I just got mine back from the shop recently after I messed up the engine. They did an incredible job!!

Alejandro asked me send a deposit to get the tires ready. Arrived for my appointment and the shop is closed down. Doesn’t even appear to be in business. Called him and he said they had to leave and now I’m his phone is off. DO NOT do business here.

Horrible service! Owner said he would help me repair my rv drum and brakes and never came through to help. Had me running around SA for parts and in the end he never helped me and said that “he doesn’t work for me” when I was going to pay him for his service! So I had to drive my rv back home 3 hours with 3 tires while axle was tide on with ratchet strap!

My husband just needed help getting lug nuts loose cause his tire blew and he was trying to get the spare on. This place said they could help, but all they did was strip two of the lug nuts worse and then say well if I have to actually put work in to get them off that'll be $10 a lug nut!!! A used tire only cost $45 yet he wants $50 to take of lug nuts!!! Greedy and no compassion. My husband is still out there trying to get the last one they messed up more off 9 hrs and counting!

Alex is a great guy. He's knowledgeable, professional, responsible, trustworthy & fair. He knows cars and he definitely knows how to fix them. He fixed my AC/heater a few weeks ago... it's still going strong. I feel he gave me a very fair price. He does all type of work on cars. He stays open late, he works on weekends & open 7 days a week. He works hard & gets the job done. If you need an excellent mechanic, Alex is your guy. I know I'll be going to him from now on if I ever need anything car related. Thanks again Alex. I appreciate your help and great job on the AC👍🏼👌🏼 Alex es un excelente mecanico. Es profesional, responsable, puedes confiar en el y confiar que va a hacer el mejor trabajo possible. Yo pienso que me dio un precio muy rasonable. Le arreglo el AC/calentador a mi carro hace unas semanas. Si necesitas un buen mecanico, lleva tu carro con Alex, el arregla todo tipo de problemas relacionados con los carros. Cierra tarde y esta abierto 7 dias a la semana. Gracias Alex. Came in for a flat tire repair , they close at 10 and told me " we don't take any more flat tire repair " it's only 8 freaking o'clock.

Left a rim to have it fixed they say it would be ready the next day it’s been a week went back to pick it up took it somewhere else not happy.

Very professional, and honest work, was very convenient to take in on a late evening. Inspected my tire carefully and found a new tire wasn’t necessary. They have a tow service available if you ever get stranded. Alex is the guy to call for sure! Thank you for all your help.

Wow! I can only thank this place for solving my damaged mcgard wheel lugnut headache on my bmw X5, Thank you so much Alex, after it was attempted to be remove by 3 diferent shop no one was able to remove it so i was still hesitant, I felt souch a relief when he got it out that I ask them to replace my rear Pads as well. I know who to bring my car now HERE!! Thank you!!

Alex is on point. If you want a fair and professional, call Alex. He was there within 15 minutes. Good dude and really cares about his customer. Even got me a discount when I had to tow my car. I would recommend to anyone!

I’ve been to this tire shop several times and have yet to be disappointed. Alex is a remarkably versatile mechanic who has done fantastic work on my car over the past year, from oil and tire changes, to LED-light installments, to brake jobs, to stopping oil leaks from worsening, this is the quintessential tire shop in San Antonio and I highly recommend it to anybody who needs reliable work done on their vehicle for reasonable and fair prices.

I’ve gone to several tire shops around San Antonio, from mediocre ones to respectably decent ones, however, none come close to Alex Tire & Auto. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences and great service provided at this shop and I recommend it anyone who needs good and reliable work done on their car.
