I recently was in the market for a used car. Allen's performed pre purchase inspects on the vehicles I was considering. The first would have cost me over $6 000 to 8000. In future repairs. The second had minor cosmetic issues. Both looked good on paper,. I bought the second one. Allen's as earned our trust over the years for honest and fair service.

Had some work done on my wife’s brakes. We thought it was the rear rotors at first, but once Eric looked at them and went to turn them he determined it was the fronts which were not very old and under warranty. They were so honest, they let me bring the new rotors and changed out the front ones for free with the replacement parts. Nice to know someone isn’t trying to just charge for stuff they didn’t even do.

Sometimes it has a lot of better prices than other automotive shops. Definitely recommend them before anyone else. I have experienced bad fixes, but I go back, and they fix their mistakes. But other than that they have good knowledgeable staff, and get the job done.

Amazing shop. We took my van in to get an alignment and have the breaks looked at. The mechanic is very honest and extremely helpful. Will definitely come here again and tell anyone who needs their car worked on to come here!

Received a very friendly and honest welcome! I am a dealer from California and was going to be purchasing a vehicle in AZ and without any prior knowledge of my experience dealing with cars, I asked him for his advice on a vehicle and he was fair and honest. Didn’t shy away from the truth or just try to get me to buy from him! Definitely enjoyed my experience going in and would 10 out of 10 recommend to anyone who is looking for honest work!

As a long time customer of Allen’s automotive I am sad to say our service with Eric Allen ended unprofessionally as a result of improper transmission service. The Allen automotive website states they service transmissions so when we had needed a transmission flush we took our vehicle to Allens automotive. The following day after getting it back there was transmission fluid leaking so we towed the car back to Allen’s considering the flush was completed by them the day before. Eric directed we take our vehicle elsewhere as they don’t specialize in transmissions…. This is interesting considering their website states they do transmission service but we ended up taking our car to another shop. The next shop acknowledged the leak but could see that the leak continued when they drove it around the block so they sent us home. Next time trying to drive our vehicle on the freeway the leaking of transmission fluid was excessive and our car was smoking. We took it to another shop to try to get another opinion. This new shop checked the fluid and indicated the transmission was overfilled causing a leak and showed us proof. The new shop asked who last filled it up and we indicated it was Allen’s automotive. The new shop encouraged us to contact Eric Allen to discuss this mistake and seek reimbursement for resulting costs due to their error. My husband reached out to Eric informing of the resulting issues related to the overfilled transmission fluid and was hung up on by Eric. Eric claims since we had two different shops look at the car we can’t be sure someone else didn’t overfill it and refused to resolve the issue with him. I called myself to try to find a resolution and clear up what appeared to be a misunderstanding on Eric’s end since we certainly have proof no one else filled fluid back into the car after they serviced it but he wouldn’t not hear it and decided to hang up on me as well and directed me to take him to court because he wouldn’t reimburse us for anything. Eric Allen would not hear us out to see his misunderstanding of the facts and conducted himself unprofessionally when speaking to my husband and myself. I think an honest mistake occurred here and Eric is not willing to make the situation right or even sympathize with our frustrations at the least. Nor was he willing to hear everything we had to say before becoming defensive and hanging up. He no longer responds to our calls or text messages as well so unfortunately we have not resolved the issue. Had he apologized for our experience at his shop and at least considered reimbursement of our resulting expenses we would still be customers though he has left us no recourse for a resolution.

I am writing my most recent experience with Allens Automotive. I am a long time customer (3+years), and have taken all of my vehicle(s) to Allens Automotive. As of 4/29/24 I will NOT be returning to Allens automotive. You shouldn’t either. On 4/16 I had drop my truck off to get the transmission fluid and filter change since it was due and was planning on towing a trailer later that week. Was told by Eric that there are skid plates in the way and it’s hard to get pan off, i then asked for a transmission flush which he agreed and said all was good. The next day driving to work on freeway 10 miles away and transmissions starts to slip and reaches 230+ degrees I proceed to pull over and let it cool down at which point I had it towed back to Allen’s to further diagnose. When Eric had looked at it he told me they “were not a transmission shop” and advised me to take it to a “transmission shop” understandably I took my truck to his recommendation of a transmission shop. Upon arriving at transmission shop I waited in person so I could get it fixed and get on the road which was the day I had already scheduled to tow. Transmission shop says all is well cannot get temperature to climb past normal operating temp. They ONLY checked the fluid level, truck never went on the lift and no fluid was changed. Given that I was told all checks out, I decide to take it on the road… overheats AGAIN and fluid is dripping. 240+ transmission temperature for normal cruising speeds no trailer hooked up in either situation. Beyond frustrated, i then rent a truck and decide to tow with that truck and give some time to think about what the issue was. Fast forward a few days I take the truck to a THIRD shop 4/29/24 they tell me the fluid level was way overfilled, this new shop then proceeds to get fluid level to correct. Drives my truck around for a while and it maintained normal operating temperature range. I have rented a truck, had my truck towed to Allen’s, taken to a transmission shop and lastly taken to another shop to resolve issue. (Each shop visit I incurred cost.) once my truck is running fine I just tried to call Eric at Allens Automotive to let him know that the issue has been resolved, and that it was due to transmission fluid being overfilled. I again have been a long time customer and he knows who I am, I explain to him the situation in a calm manner, but also wanted to see if there was any way I could be reimbursed even half of what I incurred during the visit at Allen’s due to the transmission fluid being overfilled. This led him laughing at me and hanging up on me when trying to resolve this issue peacefully. I give it time to think about everything and let things cool off, my wife decides to call to try and smooth things out and maybe there might’ve been an understanding. But nope, same treatment stated that he himself check the fluid and it was fine and proceeded to hang up on my wife like myself. While on the call with my wife he proceeded to blame the other shops that it was their fault And he didn’t know if they had worked on it or not which she told him they did not. I was there the whole time I made sure of it. This interaction was solely based on bringing awareness and seeing if I could get somewhat of a refund. I am attaching photos of the invoices, dates, picture of transmission dipstick overfilled, that the third shop had sent me. This is not a way to do business especially to a long time customer. Again, my intention for just to bring it to his attention as to what the issue was and figure out a resolution.I do not write Google reviews, but this is worth the effort in writing for any future customers. Please see photos and consider before doing business with Allen’s automotive.

Started off strong... Had my work truck towed 70 miles Friday evening because of the reputation I heard from Allens Auto. They were closed but had a drop box for keys and some paperwork to fill out. Even tho they open at 8am Saturday morning, they had my truck diagnosed and called me at 7:30am, 30 minutes before they open, great! They told me my truck would be done Monday morning. Fuel pump, front brakes, and oil change. Well Monday morning rolls around, no call. Monday evening I reached out and they said it'd be done by Tuesday morning. Okay, so trusting their word I chose not to rent a work truck for a second day because I had just approved almost $2,000 of work at a "reputable" shop. Well.... I stopped in Tuesday to see how things were going and still the truck hasn't been completed. Now I was being told Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. I called around 30 minutes before they closed because I still haven't heard from them and the part still hasn't been installed in the truck. So what do I do, trust their word and risk eating a 3rd days worth of work and more misinformation? Or do I rent a truck and look elsewhere for my automotive work in the future. I have a 2002 Duramax that needs a head gasket and injectors or a new engine too. Not a pleasant, first experience.

Dishonest mechanic that lied about work done, took advantage of my wife's lack of mechanical knowledge. I normally do all my work myself but have been too busy at work. They also refused to make it right and complete the job I had requested and already bought and supplied parts for. The original issue was also never resolved after over $1600 in labor.

Amazing service! Took less than 30 minutes to pick up my car and took it straight to my mechanics. Tower was very professional and kind and took extreme care loading my car up. I got a couple business cards from him to give my kids to put in their wallet's for the 'just in case' needs in the future. No one likes to have to call for a tow but I'm glad Allen's picked me up. I had my motor mounts replaced on my corolla. I had a quote from my mechanic. It seemed high, so I got a second opinion from Allen's Automotive. Needless to say, we have not been back to big o since.I got my car fixed for 700.00 less than bog o tires. We will always take all of our cars here.

Update 12/13/23: I have used him now for a few years but as of lately he is so overwelmed things are slow to get resolved and quoted prices are not honored. I took my car in to have the rack and pinion boots replaced. Quoted 1 hour labor and the 30-40 dollar parts. $295 later as the aprts where double and the time was too. Sad to say this but I think I may have to find a better shop. Very frustrating to be quoted one thing and told it is another once you show up to get the vehicle. _______________________________________________ What a great shop! Eric Allen came out personally to pick up my vehicle from my house where I had been changing the oil and something went wrong it was a stupid thing on my part that's all I'll say but he towed it back to the shop got what I broke off in there output the oil plug back in and charged a super fair price. I will definitely come back here again and I highly recommend them. Follow up 2/29/2022 - Returned after my last great experience to have a long time annoying sound repaired. I had taken my truck to 4 other shops and no one could figure out what it was. One actually charged me to fix it and then said well it did not resolve it but here is your bill. Well, Eric and the team got right on it and resolved the matter. it was an old hub and though still solid due to age and rust build up was essentially squeaking at very low speeds when braking. Great job! My wife's honda is getting some service now too!

A technician from there approached me at my home and told me he was a mechanic looking for side work. His name is Frank and he's about 65 years old. I hired him to put a radiator in my truck. After he was finished and I paid him, he attacked me. He tried to force kiss me. I struggled hard to get away from him. I was very body sore the next few days and my neck is injured. Luckily, I recorded the call when I confronted him a few days later. As for the work, all the water and antifreeze leaked out. He forgot to burp the system.He allowed the thermostat to slip and when he tightened the thermostat housing, it cracked. He broke the o ring at the transmission line to the radiator and all my transmission fluid leaked out. He must have known because he asked me for transmission fluid and a funnel but he never told me that he left it broken. I called Eric Allen today and told him what happened. He confirmed Frank worked there as a technician. He seemed receptive and indicated he would keep an eye on Frank. I gave 3 stars as an average of 0 for Frank, 5 for Eric

Eric Allen — owner of Allen’s Automotive — is the only mechanic tat I have ever trusted without a doubt. He tells us what needs to be fixed now and what we can hold off on. Beyond being trustworthy and transparent, does not overcharge his customers. I have referred quite a few family members, neighbors, and friends all of them feel that same way we do about Eric and Allen’s Automotive.

I have been here twice now. The first they fixed my ac and we’re somehow able to do it for half of what we got quoted somewhere else. The second time something happened to my bumper and I work until 4:15 so I got my car in at 4:30 with no appointment and was able to fix it that day. Having two great experiences always deserves a review in my book. They are a little quieter but are very friendly and helpful when you ask questions. I would recommend them to anyone.
