Highly recommend! All I needed was my crush washer switched out. They had me come in right away and I was done working a few minutes. They gave me some cool insider tips on mess-free oil changes! Great people

Amazing Customer Service, turn around and great pricing. John said drop the vehicle off on Wednesday night after hours since I couldn't do it during work hours, by Friday afternoon it was ready to go, in 1 day they had my truck radiator replaced and running fantastic. Been taking my car here for a couple of years now and they are awesome!! They always explain various details as needed, and when I asked for a full brake replacement, they kindly checked first and determined I didn’t actually need to replace the front. Super honest and straight to the point!!

5 STARS.....AMAZING!!!! Our daughter goes to school at SJSU and her Dodge was having issues. We live in SoCal and I called every Dodge dealer in SJ for repair service and the first appt was March for all of them. Found Almaden Automotive and associate Luis was so helpful. Got her car in the next day and it was fixed and returned by the end of the day. They treated her with respect and explained the work. So thankful for their professional integrity.

If negative stars could be given I would. I found this place through google and bc of the 5 stars it had received we decided to take my fathers car. All he needed was a tune up, easy right? Nope! When he picked up the car it trembled more than ever and when he took it back to be seen again it was blamed on a computer malfunction and the quoted him another 400 on top of the 600+ that he had already paid. Well he took it to autozone to use and their diagnostic machine to find out that it was a bad coil and not the whole computer system. In the end he was able to fix the problem for less than 200 and when he reached out to Almaden automotive he was still told that it was a computer malfunction. Maybe the equipment is outdated? Or the mechanic is unfamiliar in working with a 2005 Ford? Ford being one of the most common cars in America… interesting thought huh.

I had my truck's leaf springs and rear shocks replaced here. Service was professional, friendly, and helpful. Price was just under $1K. I'm pleased. It did take an unexpectedly long time to get the parts ready, but that's not their fault.

I happily used John's Almaden Automotive for many years maintaining my vehicles all with superior results. I made an arbitrary decision to have the last new vehicle I purchased maintained by the dealer. No problems till the last service appt. at 74000 miles when I was advised that the brakes should be replaced soon. I'm very glad that I decided to return to Almaden Automotive for the brake job. As it turned out Teresa, John's very able front office manager, advised me that the car did not need brakes and returned it with the brakes adjusted with a MINIMAL charge. I am returning to the very honest Almaden Automotive team.

I have been having my vehicles serviced by Almaden Automotive for over 20 years. I was a general contractor for over 30 years and had my business trucks and personal vehicles serviced by Almaden Automotive. The vehicles I entrusted to Almaden Automotive included Chevy trucks, a Lexus, a Prius, Ford C Max. When my wife and I bought a used Mazda 3 for our son we had Almaden Automotive inspect the car before we finalized the purchase. I have always been satisfied with the service I've received from Almaden Automotive and they have performed simple oil changes and lubrications to significant repairs on my vehicles. I highly recommend Almaden Automotive for all of your vehicle maintenance. Oil changes to major repairs the costs are fair and the workmanship is of the highest quality. I really appreciate having a place to take my vehicles for repair where I feel like I get honest evaluations and quality repairs. During the most recent visit to the shop the technician called me to disuss repairs before beginning the work and my final cost ended up being a little less than the original quote due to the technician finding a better price on parts. My family has been taking our vehicles to this shop for 10 years and more. I also noticed they have an award from Next Door. Guess the neighborhoods know where to go already!

Awesome service, great prices. Good communication, friendly employees, they kept the parts for me to inspect without my having to ask them to. They got my repairs done while I was at work in the Oakridge mall. I will absolutely bring my car to them again if I need work done right.

These guys are great mechanics and also very honest! I had an electrical board go out on my 2001 Dodge Dakota. Part was no longer made and therefore very expensive. These guys searched and found an old original board and used it. Saved me lots of money. Another time I thought one of my electronic fuel injectors was bad. They checked it out and found it was only a crack in the spark plug. Saved me lots of money again. I have worked with Teresa (outstanding!!) and John (outstanding!!). I'm sure the rest of the crew is also. My first call is to Almaden Automotive!

Very knowledgeable staff I've used this automotive shop for many years because they do a good job and a reasonable amount of time and it's almost always under price of what they quote. One time in the 10 years that I have been a customer at Almaden Automotive I had a problem with my vehicle after I left. I called the shop and they immediately took action no question no problem and although after discovering what the problem was it may not have been Almaden Automotive fault in anyway yet I was not charged any additional fees.
