Had a bad flat where the sensor in the valve pin broke in my tire (was unable to keep air in it) tried to bring it to the Tesla dealership where they offered a generous $600 quote to replace. Ended up going to American Tires, speaking with Des, where he advised all i needed was a replacement unit for the sensor and he could fix the issue. Cost a fraction of the cost, took less than an hour walking in to the door and out on my way and he was extremely knowledgeable about what steps were needed. Always heard great things about American Tires and am now making it my go-to for any tire needs.

Very helpful technicians. We got a good deal -- better than their competitors. The tires we got were lower price and higher mileage warranty. We also got alignment which was really needed. The price was fair.

Don’t go to this shop!! The management sucks (Alex and another big guy). I got my back rear tire replaced there on my SUV, but in doing it they had to get into my rear cargo storage area to put my spare away, and they broke my electric hatch door! They didn’t even tell me it was broken when I left. I just noticed the hatch door open light was on when I was leaving, so I pulled over to check it out. Sure enough, the door wouldn’t even latch shut, let alone using the electronics. They said they would fix it, but I had to leave the car overnight. Then they had the audacity to tell me I had to pay for half of it. When I went to pick it up, I refused to pay, but they had left my car unlocked in the parking lot with the key in the ignition (can you believe that?!!), so I drove it off then. And it turns out they only fixed the latch, the electronics part is still broken. They were rude and unethical, don’t go there!

I just went to get a tire nail removed in San Diego..and the employee there was very rude and said it would take 3 hours or more because only one person was working..my drive was long, more than 5 hours ..at other locations they have always been very kind and attentive with the service for that reason we always choose American Tire..and I know it's Sunday but emergency repairs happen 7 days a week

Ordered 4 new tires on ebay to this shop to get them installed and got an alignment. Everything was smooth and the staff were very helpful. Dez and Horacio were very knowledgeable. They noticed a critical issue on my vehicle steering system and repaired it at no additional cost. Great service overall.

Great customer service and honest employees. I've come here a handful of times and never had an issue, alway friendly and helpful employees. Never have to feel like I'm going to take advantage of. This morning I noticed one of my tire pressures were low and found a screw and a nail in the tired. I had a lot to do and the dealership couldn't even get me in for several days. I made an appointment online here instead and then showed up an hour early hoping to get squeezed in. Sure enough they looked at it right away, repaired the tire and sent me on my way. Less than 30 minutes at no charge. Their website mentioned tired repairs were free but I assumed there would be some kind of fee for something. Nope, just good honest employees. I've sent people here before and I will continue to do so. Not many places left that offer this level of customer service. Thank you!

I can't recommend a garage that leaves greasy fingerprints on my freshly washed white Audi and 'forgets' to put the tire valve caps back after changing the tires. Luckily, I double-checked my car afterward, or I would have been the one at a loss. If you're paying the mechanic, they shouldn't have to resort to shortcuts at the customer's expense! It's unacceptable when a mechanic not only neglects to do their job properly but also gives you attitude about it. Instead of offering an apology, I got a dirty look, was ignored when I said hello, and wasn't even given a goodbye when I mechanic left after giving me back my belongings. I spent over $1500 only to be nearly ripped off and treated poorly by the mechanic (thief) when I noticed the missing caps. When I brought it up to the person at the counter, all I got was a casual 'Oh yeah, we'll get someone to bring them back to you, Thank you' Also, it's unprofessional to blame a brand like Audi for not doing their job when it's clear they did. I was told that Audi doesn’t perform tire rotations, which I know is false because I’ve had it done at an Audi garage before and confirmed myself the tires were rotated correctly. It’s frustrating when a place tries to cut corners and then blames the car manufacturer meanwhile attempting to rob you.

Beware of unnecessary upselling (!) Came in for routine rotation, balance, alignment check on set of tires and alignment previously purchased. Decided to go out and watch tech do the work - so glad I did as he rotated tires, not putting any of them on the spin balancer. When I mentioned to him the order called for balancing, only then did he go back and spin balance. With 3 of the tires done, the Snap-On tool truck shows up and my tech is now busy shopping - at least 15-20 minutes. So I go in to sit and wait, then being told they alignment is in process. Finally (over 90 minutes into my appointment time) I'm told my vehicle is ready and oh, we only check balance if you tell us there's a problem. Really? I specifically requested to spin balance and good thing because at least 2 tires were out of balance. Then the hard upsell begins: you need your fluids changed? Really - I reply. Which ones. Brake fluid. I said that's recently been done. How recent - 2 months ago. Who did it - he asks. I did, replaced brake hoses at the same time. Hmmm, ok, how about your coolant? You know it rusts your cooling system. I changed that 6 months ago, as well as differential fluid and transmission fluid. Had I been less informed, I'm sure he would have fear-tactic pressured me into numerous unnecessary fluid changes. Here was the best (worst) part - when I asked for the paperwork on the alignment - Sorry we knew you were waiting so we rushed to get it done, didn't want to make you wait to print it? Really? How about the 20 minutes I was waiting while your tech was tool shopping? I'm sure the extra 15 seconds would have been worth it to at least get confirmation the alignment check was done - which now I'm not sure it was. Very disappointing experience - makes me question their integrity. Note - Jason called to check in and offered to do what he could to improve future experiences. Great to see ATD Sr. Mgmt care enough to follow up.

Saw all the positive reviews, so drove over because my tire pressure warning was going off, they found a nail and fixed it in about 30 minutes for free. Great shop, seemed to be very understanding to some of the other customers that came through while I was waiting as well.

This is my one and only go to tire repair in the San Diego area. Even if there’s a wait, I know the service is quality. The amount of flat tires I’ve gotten since moving to San Diego is ridiculous.. 4 in the past 3 months and they always have a great turn around.
