Great transmission shop. Fair and honest. The job I tasked them with came with its challenges. Communication was great prices were fair. Hopefully I don’t need to but if I do, I will definitely bring my business to AMS Transmission in Rita Ranch.

I'm a shop owner. Joe at AMS has rebuilt probably 15-20 transmissions for me in the last 4+ years. Highest quality rebuids. Very knowledgeable for diagnostics on transmission issues. Always willing and able to go the extra mile for a customer. I highly recommend Joe. I trust no one else for transmission rebuilds.

Radiator fluid got into transmission when Radiator failed and ruined my RV transmission. Joe at AMS transmission was able to fix and get my RV driving again. Would recommend to anyone that needs transmission work done.

We were in Tucson with our RV with what we thought were Allison transmission issues. Joe went above and beyond in helping us diagnose the problem. It was very challenging trying to find someone to work on the RV. He was knowledgeable, professional, and knew what he was talking about. We would not have made it back to Montana with out his help! Highly recommend.

I recently had some transmission issues with my Chevy Avalanche and brought it to AMS Transmission. Joe, the technician who worked on my vehicle, was incredibly knowledgeable and efficient. He diagnosed the problem quickly and provided me with a detailed explanation of the repairs needed. The turnaround time was also impressive, with my vehicle being fixed in a timely manner. Overall, I had a great experience with AMS Transmission and highly recommend their services. I started having transmission issues on our Ford Focus, took it to Joe and he get it looked at right away. Turned out the transmission needed to be rebuilt. I quoted three other shops and ended up back at AMS because they had the best price. Joe really took care of me and got me back on the road.

Took my car to joe. Wasn’t sure what was wrong with it. Ended up paying 700 for a new transmission rebuilt,installed a new clutch and replaced a flywheel. Car works great. Honest and try to his word. I recommend him highly. He has repaired other vehicles for with the same professional attitude.

If you take your car or truck here be prepared for it to take longer then expected. However, the work they do is excellent. The manager of the place Shelly, is excellent to deal with. She worked hard at finding parts for my old 4 Runner. She had excellent customer service. The rest of the shop lacks in that, so make sure you deal with her. Thank you ams for getting my old girl back on the road.

Joe and the guys were phenomenal, their attention to detail and attentive affect was amazing and refreshing! Joe definitely knows all about transmissions and I would definitely refer AMS to my family and friends!

This shop has gone down hill in the past 2 years. I had purchased what I thought was "bullet proof" transmission for approx $3,400 . It had lasted for 22 months of light towing ( 2 jet skis , 2times per year , and 1 fifth wheel 28ft toy hualer 1 time per year. Recently this summer of 2016 my tranny cooler fan had gone faulty , leading to a chain reaction of problems. I had replaced the fan and still noticed the tranny was overheating and started to leak badly. I notified AMS and took it in when they said a lift was avalible . I dropped it off Monday morning as planned and did not call or bother them for 1 week till the next Monday . When I called them Monday they said they were barely putting it up on The lift and we're working it as we speak . AMS was supposed to fix a leaky, over-heating transmission in my diesel truck. When I got the truck back, not only was the leak not fixed, the front band adjustment was left loose and the dust cover was missing , the transmission lost power completely after about 125 miles of driving, making abnormal noises from the tranny and then silently quit working. I now have been forced into leaving my only transportation in Globe while I figure out how to get it back to Tucson. Hoping my new tires and batteries do not get robbed ! No need to worry about the truck "IT DOSENT MOVE" I referred AMS to my boss (Manager) at work when he asked if I knew of a transmission specialist. AMS scratched his grill and failed to re-attach the down pipe on the exhaust. AMS also worked on my cousins transmission. When my cousin got his truck back the inter cooler hose was disconnected and the grill was basically destroyed from AMS trying to install an oil cooler for the tranny. He also is on a trip with a overheating leaky transmission. AMS is an absolute disappointment. I pray that people read this review before they make the same mistake I made when I took my truck to their shop.

I have a small mobile auto repair business. I send all of my transmission work to AMS and refer them when my customers need only transmission repair. The staff at AMS has always taken the time to help me and my customers, they are knowledgeable, courteous and best of all affordable. They have also built the transmissions for my wife's car, my Jeep and my service truck! I absolutely recommend AMS Transmission. Thanks Joe!!!
