Armando was very good at communicating what was wrong with my car and diagnosing the issue. I'm upset that when I towed my car home I noticed missing items from the glove box and back seat. My car manual folder and personal paperwork with my information on them are missing. When i opened my glove box it was practically emptied. Extra large Styrofoam coca-cola cups were left in the backseat from whoever was going thru my things.'m not sure if my car was left outside at the shop unlocked and if it was a theft from random ppl.

Armando is kind, honest, and easy to work with! As a female. I sometimes worry about being taken advantage of in the mechanic space, but Armando walked me through what was wrong with my car in an easy to understand way that didn’t feel like mansplaining, He even pulled up the online order form for the needed car parts to show me the exact breakdown of costs for parts and services, which I really appreciated. There’s been a couple of times where he wasn’t exactly on location during business hours, so I would call before coming in, as he’s very responsive over phone.

I had a check-engine light that I needed diagnosing prior to travelling cross-country. Armando was able to see my car on a drop-in basis. I sat in the passenger seat as he used a computer to check and explain the misfire code. Though we weren't able to pinpoint the issue exactly, he reassured me that my vehicle would be road-safe for the journey and advised on using fuel injector along the way. My vehicle made it to my destination and back without fail and I felt reassured all the while having Armando's professional opinion. Thanks Armando!

Summer is coming in hot, and my car’s A/C just stopped working. I dropped my car off earlier today and the issue was fixed within hours. Armando is savvy and a great communicator. I’ll definitely go back with any future car issues!

This just became my go to shop in Austin. My alternator started acting up Monday evening, and I was able to drop my car off Tuesday morning and pick it up that afternoon. Armando was very helpful and pleasant to talk to and gave me a quick and accurate quote when I dropped it off. One of the quickest, simplest, and best all around experiences I’ve had with an auto shop.

Great customer service and car service at a fair price, highly recommend. This is definitely my go to place now. I took my 2001 Camry in for a cylinder misfire. Armando greeted me as I arrived, and asked me some questions about the car. After chatting for a bit I left it with him and he said he'd get back to me after taking a look at it. Since I live nearby I was going to walk home but when I told Armando that he actually lent me a bike. Really awesome. A few hours later I got a call back explaining what the problem could be and how he intended to fix it. A few hours after that, I got a call back saying it was all fixed. I was prepared to have my car in the shop for a few days but Armando had it out in one day. Really pleased with the service.

Armando is kind, personable, responsive, and a car guru. He did my alternator replacement same-day, and gave me a bunch of helpful advice to keep my old 2012 kia running smoothly. I'll be using APR from now on!

Guys were awesome, needed alternator work 2 days before Christmas coming back from Texas got us back on the road in 2 hours and took us and dropped us at nearby restaurant for lunch.

Instead of just installing a brand new engine in my neglected Santa Fe, Armando gave the option to try and flush as much build up as possible which took weeks of his time and resources. I appreciated his time and honesty with explaining the process every step of the way.

I came across APR as I was looking for a garage to swap out an engine for my 2013 Jeep Wrangler. I called a handful of places but found Armando at APR to be the most responsive and best priced. He kept me informed and got the job done in short order. My Jeep runs great. I won't go anywhere else.

Excellent work! I had a water leak on my passenger side coming from the blower motor. I was told by many other mechanics that I'd have to replace the whole thing or that the repair would cost over $500. I went here, and got my car looked at. In less than 5 minutes the problem was diagnosed as a clog in my evaporator. A quick spray with some compressed air and the issue was gone! Very trustworthy mechanic. I wasn't charged a dime! You've earned a customer for life!!

You can't find a better more honest mechanic and just a great man!!! One man operation he is very busy man. I drive quite a ways just to give Armando my business. Had valve cover gaskets put on my old F150 and some other minor work today. I have more work for him on couple other vehicles for him to do.... Armando is the best. Friendly, punctual service and good prices. My car's AC had a very strange, specific issue that required a new part, and Armando diagnosed this, located and collected the part, installed it, and had my car ready to go all within 8 hours. I gave him a call and explained the issue my car was having and he was really knowledgeable and easy to work with - he explained to me all possible solutions and costs for repair. He ended up running diagnostic, ordering parts, and repairing the car all within the same day. Will definitely give him a call next time I have any problems with my car!

Honest mechanic and competitive prices. Needed to have a something done on a car that I was originally quoted 2100 for at another shop in Austin. Tried to shop around and he was the best price by far. Saved $800 by going here and he did the same great work. Car runs as it should and he was honest about giving feedback on other upcoming needed repairs, even knowing that we were leaving state and would not be back to take the repairs to his shop. Just wanted to make us aware to help us out. Great honest mechanic and definitely recommend if you need anything done to your car

I called Armando needing fixes to my car within a few days before a long road trip. He was able to quickly diagnose, order parts and fix everything in less than two days. He kept me in the loop throughout the whole process and called to explain everything to me each step of the way. He could not have been kinder! He even drove my car for 40 miles to make sure everything was safe and working correctly for my road trip. I will never take my car anywhere else! He is excellent.

I had my Ford Explorer 2015 his shop recently. I was traveling from Austin to Houston and Houston to Austin for work. At the hotel my car began leaking fluid so I checked out the online reviews found APR had my car towed over there. Bad water pump!! Apparently it's a Ford thing. They had me up and running in 4 days. Just drove the car back to Houston with absolutely zero problems. Give this guy a call if you our experiencing car problems.

I’ll trust no one else but Armando at APR Engines for work done on my car. My engine completely gave out and I had to get it replaced. He found me the best engine for a great price and also offered me a very great rate for labor costs. I shopped around quite a bit and he by far was the best mechanic I spoke to. He was extremely diligent when it came to the repairs and giving me updates on the state of my car. Definitely plan on going back to him for any sort of repairs and upkeep needed on my car. Would highly recommend!!
