I cannot say enough good things about this place! I have had my oil changed here several times as well as my brakes replaced. All top notch service. But, what blew me away is that I called in a bit of a panic -- about an hour before closing because my car notified me that the oil was low and I needed to add more oil (which has never happened before.) I immediately called the shop and he suggested I bring the car in as soon as possible and they could at the very least add some oil since I was on my way somewhere that I couldn't reschedule. They added oil and then said they could do an oil change the next morning (even though they were already fully booked.) I dropped it off the next morning and also mentioned that the brakes seemed off and he said they would take a look for me. They fixed my brake issue and got my oil changed at VERY reasonable rates....I almost thought it was a mistake! I'm so used to being told I need things fixed that I really don't that it's refreshing to find a place to take my car where I feel like they are honest, fair and go the extra mile!

A neighborhood gem. Been going there since we moved to Lakeview 20+ years ago. Reliable, trustworthy, friendly, fairly priced. This morning, they were kind enough to fill all 4 of my tires with air, no charge (and no other services needed so I didn’t spend a penny there today). Doesn’t sound like much (I can hear the haters saying “so what, air is free”) - but it’s just not something every place would do. Support your local businesses!

Ashland tire and auto came highly recommended to me. I haven’t needed a mechanic (until I needed one in a pinch) I live 1 block from their shop and my car had a dead battery. They went out of their way to help me out and give me a jump where I was parked. They assessed my car and suspected both the battery and alternator were bad and I was gearing up to pay the price. After installing a new battery they discovered the alternator wasn’t causing any issues, it was actually a fuse. I left only paying for the new battery which was a relief. From calling them at 7am, all work was completed and I had my car back home before 1pm. Great customer service, work was good, and honest/fair pricing. It’s no wonder everyone recommends it.

Best place to get your car serviced for any need! They’re extremely reliable and will try to be as accommodating as possible for quick turnarounds. I dropped by car in on a busy Friday night and while originally they had said Wednesday to get everything done, it was diagnosed and turned around by the next morning. They will be clear about timelines but in my experience they’ve always made good turnaround. They’re honest and extremely transparent about the work your car needs, the risk of the damage, and the pricing. Would not go anywhere else to get my car serviced as much as I trust these guys!

I know absolutely nothing about cars, but the team at Ashland Tire & Auto was super informative about the work that needed to be done to my car. They were totally non-judgmental, didn’t push, and gave me time to speak with my family before moving forward. Super quick, reliable work with great customer service! Can’t recommend them enough!

I only and always take my car to Ashland Tire & Auto. The service and professional support is beyond exceptional each and every time. This past weekend was no exception. I had a flat tire. Jose answered the phone and said we are closing in 30 minutes- bring it in. In less than 15 minutes, the nail was removed and the puncture was repaired - AT NO CHARGE, since I purchased the tires here. I almost cried I was so relieved and shocked by the courtesy and kindness. Thank you for being outstanding in every way!

This is our go to mechanic. Everything from oil changes, belts, bearings, tires, etc. I recently needed a new battery and they took me the same day, it was done within 30 minutes, and the battery price was about 17% below MSRP.

Twice now my car has had a tire leak due to a nail and twice now the guys here couldn't have been more quick, efficient, and helpful in getting it patched. It's now become my go to place for oil changes and anything else. Highly recommended

We've been coming here for ~10 years and STILL get surprised with how great they are. Today was yet another positive experience here. They recently replaced two tires, one of which had a slow leak which we assumed was an installation issue. Lo and behold, it had a nail in the tire I didn't see. Fixed it in 10 minutes, no charge, on our way. Great customer service, fast, friendly. A+

Best garage in Chicago. Super fair prices and they go out of their way to help you out. Was immediately told a part I went in to replace was under warranty and to hit the dealership. Saved me $600 at least. Oil change price is the lowest I’ve encountered. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Came here to get my flat tire fixed. Didn’t need an appointment. Service was fairly priced, friendly and really quick! I was in and out in less than an hour. Would definitely recommend this place

Just went here for the first time and had great service. Car had a flat tire and the sensor was busted. Took it in, in the morning, and was in and out in 20 min. Very friendly, trustworthy and reasonable crew.

These guys are amazing! I had a flat on my German car and thought I would be pushed in replacing at least one, most likely 2 tires, due to this all wheel requirements. They patched up my tire and sent me on my way for less than 30 bucks and within an hour despite them being really busy. I'm always coming back to these guys for any tire issues.

They replaced my turbo charger in my buick encore, and did it for a reasonable cost. I definitely recommend this auto shop. I've lived in Chicago for 2 years now, and have been to 3 other repair shops. Ashland Tire was recommended by several Chicagoans on the neighborhood app, so I went there, based on their recommendations. I will definitely use Ashland Tire & Auto for future repairs. They were also very efficient.

This place was recommended to me by Rockwell Auto Clinic and they did a great job. My tire was losing air pressure when I brought it into Ashland Tire & Auto. They diagnosed and fixed the issue (it turned out to be a nail) in less than 20 minutes after I walked in and charged a super reasonable price. Definitely recommend their services!

Solid place for service. Generally they have good communication. They’re a very busy shop though so the wait time can vary.
