A very pleasant and trustworthy place. It’s hard to find a reliable mechanic, but their dedication to explaining the parts, processes, and reasons for the repairs is impressive. They even show you the inside of the car before and after the work is done, which builds trust and truly makes a difference. I have also noticed that they remain calm and professional, even with difficult customers. It’s surprising to find such a great place in Coney Island, and I’m glad it’s here. We need more trustworthy businesses in the area.

This was my first time visiting Jimmy's autoshop. I called a few other shops and finally I found this gem. Jimmy not only gave me a quote for labor but also gave me pricing on parts, which most stores refused to give over the call. He also ordered the parts right away and parts were there before I got to him. The work was done exceptionally well and fast, I was in and out within the same day. He also fixed a lingering code in my car and replaced my registration sticker free of cost. All in all I will be returning here and I recommend you try his shop if you're in the area.

Our family car, a 2022 palisade had a problem with a whistle and had 26,000 miles on it. We took it to an official dealer, who pointed out issues with the brake pads and disks. They quoted us $1,600 to change all the pads and disks. Fortunately, we were advised to visit a different car dealership. I called the repair shop, and the owner, Jimmy, answered the phone. I have some difficulties with English and barely have any experience with cars, so I was unsure about the procedure and what steps to take. I attempted to explain the problem in a few words, and Jimmy quickly gathered all the necessary information about the car. He estimated an approximate price over the phone and identified the problem. My parents left the car at the repair shop and in an hour and a half it was ready to go. The front disks and all brake pads were replaced. We discovered that one of the disks was badly worn, but after consulting with Jimmy, we decided it was the best to change both front disks and the brake pads. The total cost came to $490, which was three times cheaper than the official dealer's quote! Thank you Jimmy!

Despite having an exemption issued by the state for my tints, several shops refused to take in my car for an inspection. Spoke to Jimmy over the phone and he mentioned if I have the paperwork should be no issue at all. Inspection was seamless. My car was lifted and promptly inspected by the mechanics. No attempt to upcharge or come up with any Bs. Mechanic simply stated “looks good”. When I asked Jimmy about my tires he was very knowledgeable and mentions my specific tire model would easily last 40-50k miles. Glad I got rejected by other shops and had the opportunity to meet Jimmy!

I thought I wrote a review on this great shop already but I haven't. Atlantic Auto Service in Coney Island has taken care of my two cars since I moved to Coney Island a year ago. My family and I moved to this far-flung area ( compared to my previous location ) because of our son's education but it has also been a great benefit to have a car repair shop nearby with excellent skills and integrity. Jimmy, the shop manager, deals with his customers with patience, consistency, and respect. I have met one of their customers in the waiting room who drove all the way from Flushing for the service. Yes it is worth spending extra miles to visit a competent mechanic.

My father's car was having multiple issues and they fixed it very smoothly every time he went there. The price is very reasonable and the guy (maybe the owner?) is very friendly. Each time we went there, he would listen to us and explain what he would do or what the issue was. Excellent service.

I recently went to the Atlantic Auto for my dad's car. Had an amazing experience and we're really happy with their service. They're really helpful and knowledgable and super friendly. It didn't take them long to figure out the problems with the car and they were able to fix within couple hours. Also, they didn't overcharge and rather advised us on some purchases for the car. Overall, really happy with their service and will definitely visit again if ever needed to and 100% recommend!
