I found Austin Auto Doctor through a recommendation and I haven't left since. He has been the best Mobile Mechanic a single mom could ask for. From my 08 Ford to my 15 Nissan I've had amazing services at a really affordable price. Oil changes, brakes, my fan assembly and wheel bearing. He has been honest with me and I never feel pressured to have something done that I don't understand. I have even been able to watch and learn what he is doing sometimes, well because im that nosey 🤣. Thanks again and I'll be back again.

i called Steve Perez for a quote on a axle job he gave me a reasonable quote and he was at my location in 30 minutes .he had all the tools needed to do the job, within 20 minutes he had axle out and new one in. in another 20 minutes and i was back on the road,,,,this guy knew exactly what needed to be done and he did it well.Very professional I would strongly recommend him

I have had Steve come out several times to do some Mechanic work on my 2020 legacy. He’s professional and I’ve enjoyed his company. He communicates pretty well and is straight up with what work needs to be done and how much it will be. His work is pretty good. No complaints. Gets the work done pretty last. If your needing a battery replaced or rotors/ brakes changed out he’s the guy to go to. Going to have him do some more work in the near future.

I hired Steven Perez to install akebono ceremic brake pads that I purchased onto my Mercedes. When he arrived, he went to my next door neighbor's house and started jacking up their Mercedes. Well I just happened to be standing in my driveway, and immediately walked down my sidewalk to stop him and his assistant from working on the wrong car. His assistant put the brake pads on my car. Well after they finished the job, and left, I noticed my brake pad sensor was still coming on. I called Steven back and informed him of the problem. He told me the sensor needed to be replaced and that he had one in his truck....he should have told me this while he was working on my car, and I would have gladly paid for the replacement sensor. I had another mechanic look at the brake job that Steven had done, and he told me the brakes had not been bled. I do not recommend this business.

I recently had a VERY VERY disappointing experience with Steve, a mobile mechanic I found on Craigslist. Initially when Steve and I spoke over the phone I was quoted $185 for a CV axle replacement on my 2016 Toyota Corolla. I also had a plan B with another mechanic I had used before, who offered to do the job for $120. I ended up going with the cheaper option and got my car fixed. Leaving the Shop from getting my Axel replaced I called Steve to inform him that I chose the plan B as it was the cheaper option BUT I would still like for him to stop by and check my car out becasue I was now hearing another noise coming from my suspension area. No problem, He agreed to stop by. He showed up to my residence within the next 30 minutes and took a quick 2 minute test drive up the street. Upon returning, he diagnosed the issue and informed me that it was the Strut Mounts and said it would cost X$ at which I said no thank you not right now bc I had just paid to get my axel fixed. Steve then demanded a $75 diagnostic fee, which he had NEVER NOT ONCE communicated before. I told Steve I wasnt going to pay the 75$ bc it was never communicated and he refused to give my keys back unless I paid the fee. I work from home and was in a meeting so I told him to hold on and let me get out of my meeting and we can discuss as I was willing to pay $50 but $75 was just way out of reach especially the fact that it was NEVER ONCE COMMUNICATED. While I was in my meeting he texted me an invoice for 75$ so when I threatend to call the Police bc he wouldnt give me my keys back he said by law he didnt have to bc he sent me an invoice. Terrible!! I ended up paying the 75$ becuase I needed my keys, but I felt this situation was handled very poorly and very unprofessional. Clear communication about fees is crucial! I do not recommend Steve unless you get a quote in black and white prior to using his services or even coming out and diagnosing.
