I have a lot of experience with Randy, having used him for 6 months on my small fleet of rental cars, and he's the worst mechanic I've ever had the misfortune to employ. He started okay. Was reasonably priced at least. That didn't last long. His repair estimates always took longer than expected and cost more. He made a few errors that cost me money. He failed to repair a few things but still charged me for it. So eventually I had to stop using him. When I made that decision he had 2 jobs left to do for me; a warranty job on a truck and another job on credit because he messed up previously to the tune of $500. He messed up the warranty job completely. Sent the warranty company a bad diagnostic which meant only half of what was covered got paid for. The truck was running fine when I brought it to him (it was just a fuel leak) but he said it was running really rough now and would need more work. I told him I was selling it anyway so I would just sell it as is. He offered to get paid when it sold and I agreed to that. He then didn't work on it for FOUR WEEKS!! Said he didn't have the money for the parts and kept asking for payment despite me telling him I didn't have the money for that, so to just return it. He then REFUSED to return it! Said it wouldn't drive! Even though it drove fine for the past month and made it 20 miles to his shop without issue. I told him to bring it back by the next day or I'd need to go get it myself and that he would need to just forget about our deal for the repair. He miraculously found the money for the part and did the repair the next day! So on the Monday I asked when I'd be getting my truck back as he was supposed to deliver it to me. He told me to do him a favor and let him use the truck until Friday because his car was not running! I told him no way and eventually he agreed to release MY truck to me but only after I left a 5* review and came to get it at my expense! I did this and got my truck back only to see it had an extra 500 MILES on it!! He had been using it the whole time! Needless to say when I sold the truck Randy did not get paid. Randy can't hold down a job as a real mechanic. There's a reason for that. Randy can't sustain any long term clients. There's a reason for that. Randy has to blackmail customers for 5* reviews. There's a reason for that. Normally you can't delete a review and leave another one, and I'm sure Randy is counting on that, but I've got another Google account which is why I can leave this. Randy is an awful mechanic and human being. I was selling my truck because I desperately needed to get home (to the UK) to see my mum as she was very ill. I told him every day of delay was a day less I'd have with my mum. He delayed me by a month just so he could use my truck for his own personal use. Don't waste your time with Randy. He'll tell you it'll get done quickly (he won't) and for a price that won't be on the final bill (it'll be higher), and he might not even repair it properly. AVOID!!!

I highly recommend this business for your auto repair. I was stranded when my car broke down in 100 degree heat. I called Austin Roadside Technicians, spoke with Randy and he sent someone out to do the repairs, assuring me it would be completed by morning. Not only did they fix my alternator but Randy delivered my car back to my house the next morning! All this for a very reasonable price! I would also like to thank Prince, the mobile mechanic😊

I recently had a stressful situation at Home Depot where I accidentally locked my toddler in my Range Rover while the car was still running. Despite being told by Land Rover that it was impossible for the car to lock with the keys inside, that was exactly what happened. Thankfully, Randy was able to coordinate a technician partnering with Austin Roadside Services, who arrived quickly and professionally opened the door. My toddler is safe, though still a bit upset with me, but I’m incredibly grateful for the swift response and expert service. I can’t thank the team at Austin Roadside Services enough for their quick action and care during a very nerve-wracking moment.

My battery went dead and new I needed a new one. They were quick to answer my call and my needs that day. Randy (owner) answered the phone and was easy to talk with. He explained his fees and timing and everything that followed was on track. Prince showed up and replaced my battery. And when I it turned out I had blown not 1, but two fuses, Prince returned the next day and replaced it at no charge. While I hope to not need a mobile mechanic, this is a great option in a jam.

Super convenient, guys came to meet me at work when I needed a brake job done. Drove to me and did full diagnostic and then had it fixed AT MY APARTMENT the next day. Super cool to not have it laid up in a shop for days. Pricing was also amazing paid less than $400 when most shops would charge me $800-$1000 for parts and labor. Highly recommend and probably won’t ever go back to another shop. Technician Prince is very competent and knows his stuff. Overall amazing service.

I just has my car repaired by Prince from Austin Roadside Technicians, and he did an absolutely fantastic job! He came to our house to fix my car and was done quickly and efficiently. Prince is a very nice fellow, as is his manager Randy. I highly recommend this nearby mobile service if your vehicle is in need of any kind of repair or servicing. The price was reasonable and competitive with other shops in the area.

1000% recommend!! I had driven down from Dallas for a family event for the weekend and my vehicle started to overheat and left me stranded on the service road. I had a dilemma, it was a Sunday and I had to check out of the hotel the next day. No one was open and the places that showed on Google to be open on Sundays were non-responsive. I called Austin roadside technicians and Randy was promp in his response and showed up briefly after I had reached out. He was courteous, knowledgeable and transparent throughout the entire time. He assessed and addressed the possible problems without leading me down a list of other things to fix resulting in a large bill. He is honest and takes time to explain to someone who is not knowledgeable in car repair. He was able to get me back on the road a few hours later and I was able to make it back home the next day. His prices are very reasonable and fair. I truly appreciate his business. If I ever find myself back in the area and need car repair services I will 1000% reach out to Austin Roadside Technicians.

Randy & Prince at Austin Roadside have been awesome. They’ve done work on my Toyota tundra and Ford E-150. They’ve done great work, have been good with communication and they come to you! I’ve already referred them to several friends of mine. You’ll definitely be happy with their service.

Didn't have a great experience. Had them install a window motor/regulator as well as a fuel filter/housing. Both of which were not installed correctly and left me stranded on the side of the road because my gas gauge no longer works. Could be a faulty product, but it was a GENUINE part from the vehicle manufacturer, so I doubt it. Had to pay ANOTHER $100 for them to come back out and tell me that it was working fine after having my car towed home. In total I spent over $500 to which I now have to go and take it to a trustworthy shop to fix their work. I am in no way shape or form a rich man, and now I have to shell out even MORE money that I don't have. This service would probably be fine for a brake job or something insignificant, but if it is anything remotely difficult to install, I would suggest going to an actual mechanic shop.

Wow! Randy saved me! I needed a tire replaced incredibly quickly and he got it done. Even faster than I thought was possible, running up to a tire shop to get a special size tire and everything. So pumped to have a mechanic that can be both mobile as well as have a shop for the bigger jobs. Highly highly recommend!

Randy is the best when it comes to any car be it NISSAN , HONDA , especially the BMW’s . My fuel pump has gone and he worked on it and it’s smooth like never before. Good communication , I would definitely recommend for any type of car issues.

Car broke down in downtown Austin, Randy came out and waited on me to get back. The battery terminal and a piece that completely snapped off and this man pulled some wizardry and got me back on the road again! When I told him I had to get my daughter the next day, he said “well we gotta fix it then!” Super reasonable price and saved me so much money in towing fees and other fees! Thank you so much!!

I had two vehicles that needed repair, the first vehicle repair they completed asap and with great customer service. However, with the second vehicle repair we needed Allen gave us the run-around. First, he was waiting on a part to arrive. Then, he didn’t have mechanics available. Then, he was out of town. And lastly, that his vehicle was out of commission and that we would have to find another mechanic. I waited over a week for this service. If he could not fix my vehicle he could’ve easily communicated that. If he didn’t want to replace the vehicle he could’ve easily communicated that. Very unprofessional.

I used this service to repair a brake line, the tec came out and spent all of 15mins, and charge me $135 and nothing was repaired. Needless to say I was not a satisfied customer and car is still down.

My alternator was on the verge of failing completely--on a Sunday--and I had to make it out of town the next day for an appointment. Randy came to my apartment and fixed my 4Runner quickly (AND politely). He was great to chat with, and made sure that I wasn't waiting too long. For a service that's available when almost all are closed during the weekends, Austin Roadside Technicians really delivered! Great service, great employees, and fair prices 👍 I'd definitely use their expertise again!

My car battery died in my steep and narrow driveway and Randy came out and saved the day. I can't recommend him highly enough - he is polite, honest, kind, and willing to help in any way he can! He used to work as a mechanic with Lexus of Austin, so I trusted that he knew what he was doing. I will definitely be calling him for all of my car repair needs.

TLDR: Austin Roadside Technicians are GREAT, and I'll definitely be using their service for the foreseeable future. Had heard a clanking sound coming from the driver-side, rear wheel area of my car. My initial thoughts were that I was in need of new suspension components, as I knew my lowering spring setup would be rough on my suspension components in the long term. So, I decided to grab new coilovers and have them installed by a local shop, figuring that would solve my problems... Not at all. After the installation the sound was still there, and I was confused as to why the shop hadn't noticed this and checked further- my assumption is that they were only interested in installing the part I requested and nothing else. Fast forward to Tuesday (June 6th) I contacted Austin Roadside Technicians, as they were mobile and I was a bit nervous/apprehensive to drive my car with an obvious issue at hand. Randy reached out and came to take a look at my car. Come to find out, the new coilovers weren't needed at all- there was a loose screw that simply needed to be tightened in the lower control arm. Not only did Randy fix that, but he also tightened up the coilovers that they other shop installed (they were loose too). Drove over a bump a couple times, and no more sound! Problem solved! Long story short, I'm beyond happy to have called Austin Roadside Tech's, and only regret not knowing about their business sooner (before I spent $2000 on the coilovers/installation at the other shop). Randy was great to work with, and explained everything in great detail. Honesty and transparency go a long way, especially when some companies only look to do what is asked, rather than doing what is only necessary- even if it means that they could lose on additional $$. But with guys like Randy on team, they only stand to make MORE money in the long run, because people like me will recommend their business, and spend MORE money solely with them. Safe to say I've found a great mechanic and business for all my auto needs!
