Dave is the man. My Audi had a whole bunch of problems and could barley drive it because of the condition it was in (misfires, broken circuit, and more) I took it to them around the corner from my house and they took great care of it, I ordered the parts and they got straight to work (fuel injectors, circuit, spark plugs, supercharger oil, coolant line), they went above and beyond for my car not just repairing what was broken but taking care of other things as they dug into my car such as carbon cleaning my valves, throttle body, intake manifold, coolant leak and more. Whenever I would have a question or mention something about the car, Dave knew what I was talking about right away which made me feel better about letting them work on my Audi because most shops aren’t too familiar with these cars. This is a great shop, I saw a few VW/Audi in my times going to the shop so they definitely are experienced with these cars. Anything that I can’t do from now on I’ll be letting them do it 100%.

Dealt with Dave for over a decade. Very good mechanic. I won't take that away from him. However, don't buy cars from him or anyone he associates with. After giving this man our business non-stop for 12 years he sold my father a bad car with a bad transmission, knowingly. He even lied about check engine codes to us in a bid to "fix" it. Told us it was an 02 sensor, then something else, blah blah blah. Guy is a liar. I repeat DO NOT buy used cars from this guy Dave or his associates. You will regret it. We might have to take this guy to small claims court. Really sad. Dave I really hope it was worth it. All those years we were loyal to you and brought our cars. All of that gone now because you wanted a couple grand to rip my dad off. I guess the pill addiction getting bad huh. I should have known better after we got sold that trash Lexus in 2018 by your friend. *update* Since Davey boy decided to reply I'll add some more. Of course Dave can't actually contest the substance of what I said, he has to insult my Google username that I've had since I was 16 years old. Here are the facts. We purchased a 2013 Nissan Sentra from Dave and his loser associates (one of the losers actually lives out of the garage) at "Auto Specialties". He told my father it has a "brand new factory transmission". That was a lie. Dave and his dopey mechanics did a hatchet job on a rebuilt transmission that. The catalytic converter was also bad. It was missing the heat shield even LOL. I don't know what kind of dingus work they got going on down there but I'm happy to be free of this guy. Also, the tailpipe was completely fudged up, and was not coming out the back of the car far enough. Therefore EXHAUST was being pumped back into the car FOR MY 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER TO INHALE. Thanks Dave! That's real nice you would put a 7 year old kid in a dangerous piece of garbage like that. Really speaks to your morality! We took this car to a different, HONEST mechanic who didn't hold back. We got ripped off. I'm glad we found the guy, he's great. His name is Bill and he runs a shop right near Rhawn and the Boulevard. This mechanic actually recommended we take the car up to the state police barracks to show them the ILLEGAL work Dave was doing on the car. Dave ILEGALLY had this car "inspected" at his shop. You cannot put inspection tags on a car that's giving engine codes and has a tailpipe that is illegally assembled. Dave you're lucky we didn't take the damn thing to the police you con artist. What baffles me is Dave threw away years of business and goodwill just for one small used car sale. This guy threw away a steady stream of money we brought him for years. Inspections and any little problem we had. What a shame.

This establishment has some of the most genuine and honorable group of gentlemen that I've ever met in the automotive industry. I trusted them with my mother's vehicle that was totaled in an accident. The insurance company tried to put some garbage estimate together for repair, and they cared more about my mother's safety and fought to have the car totaled. They could have forced the repair to make money, but they didn't. Thanks, Dave and Al.

After receiving a speeding ticket in Virginia, it was suggested to me that my speedometer might be off. I googled speedometer calibration and Auto Specialties of Philadelphia popped up. I called and told Dave my issue. He was very responsive, knowledgeable and professional. Dave was able to resolve my issue which enabled me to get my ticket dismissed. If you have an issue similar to mine please call Auto specialties of Philadelphia. Dave will take care of you.

I have to say this place was amazing. I went there to get my car up to code. My speedometer read off and they took care of it no problem. They even gave me more advice and tips on my car and found problems I wasn't aware of. Price is affordable, and the work is quality. I got my car back the same day.

Pulled into Dave's shop today 5/10/23 at 4:30 PM, as my vehicles engine light was flashing for a few days and the engine was running rough. By 5:30 PM Dave and his technician had diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and resolved the issue for a reasonable fee. A+ recommendation

The machanics at Auto Specialties did a phenomanal job on my 2019 Chevy Trax. My car was hit in the parking lot of my complex. The rear passenger side door, rear side bumper, and taillight were crunched in and broken. In 3 weeks my car door was replaced, and the rear bumper side and tail light were replaced. The length of time was due to them being short staffed. The car doesn't even look like it was hit! They keep me frequently updated on their progress and gave me guidence on how to navigate my insurance company with the claim. The customer service was super friendly and made me feel like family. 10 out of 10 would recommend. I would send anyone there to have their vehicle worked on by them.

Dave and his techs do awesome work. Welded a cracked frame and did a bunch of bushing replacements that most shops would have turned down. All for an amazing price!

Excellent!! Highly specialized team of mechanics and body repair. I bought a car that had a lot of guys issues and needed a new motor. I was ready to junk it, but when I took it to Dave and his team, they diagnosed and repaired my car at a very reasonable price. Dave took the time to search for a motor with only 63k, which is very hard find. I left his shop with a car that drove like new. Very honest and hard working guys. would recommend them to anyone without any hesitation. On a final note, I came across a few review that meant to destroy these guy’s reputation which sounded a bit unfair based on my experience with them. With all honesty, Dave and his team are hardworking, honest and amazing professionals who prioritize their customers’ satisfaction.

My experience was more than pleasant. I had some issues affecting the way my car drove that I was not able to get figured out at other shops. Dave who runs the shop was able to identify the problems and fix them in a fast manner with his team and they did a great Job and I fortunately have not had a problem with it since. Their service and hospitality while my car was getting worked on was the best I've experienced and the work speaks for itself so I most definitely recommend to anyone who needs work done.

The number one Auto shop in Philadelphia. Dave and his crew did a PHENOMENAL job on my 2003 VW beetle. This car looks and runs like brand new. Issues that seemed impossible for other auto shops to figure out, Dave pinpointed the problems. Don't make a MISTAKE and take your vehicle anywhere else. Do yourself a favor. Utilize this shop and I'm sure that you will be pleased.
