Love them they are always in and out and they allowed me to bring my dog inside while we waited, also they never try to up-charge you or make you think you need extra work done when you came in for something else

By far the best mechanics in town. They've bailed me out on short notice more times than I can count, with great prices to boot. The guys are all incredibly nice and will make you feel welcome. Whatever the issue might be, they'll handle it swiftly and effectively.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered in Auto service industry. Mike decided to come up with extra $50 from what he quoted me on the phone on the labor cost when I went to get my car. He was rude and very arrogant. Never going to this location.

Emailed to ask how much to install a serpentine belt and was told "Should be around $150 - $200" by Mike Wilson. Then after they've already done it they charged me an additional $80 diagnostic fee, bringing the total to $280, even though I already knew what the issue was when I brought it in and had their estimate. When I told them I had an estimate, he asked to see it, so I showed him the email. They used the fact that Mike had said "around" to justify charging 40% more than what I was originally told. Refused to explain why no one informed me of the mandatory diagnostic fee. Most places only charge for diagnoses if you decide not to have the work done there. After looking at the reviews, apparently this is common practice at this shop. I won't be back.

I was stuck in North Austin and dropped off my car with valve troubles. Although they were busy and almost on 4th of July vacation, these guys assessed the car the next morning, fixed a wire and only charged the diagnostic fee. Thanks for not only being helpful and dedicated, but also honorable. You guys are heroes in my book.

I accidentally found this tucked away honest, fair and affordable car shop. The guys have been helping me with both my cars since 2019. From basic repairs to emissions test even brake y’all. These folks are your people for the job!!! Trust me you won’t regret it.

Terrible experience. They quoted me 500$ to repair an AC leak and I accepted. When the job was done they charged me more than 800$. They did the same thing we agreed when I left the car and there was no reasonable explanation for the extra charge. They never called me to inform me that the price was changing to seek my approval.

Mike, alex and the whole gang at auto tech are truly one of a kind professional, honest and follow thru promptly with their work all the time. Used to be a motorhead, but cannot do it anymore. They insisted on a diagnostic charge of $85 even though I already had a diagnosis and knew what work I wanted done. And why is this a flat fee instead of the labor rate? They eventually did waive this after much discussion and agreed to replace the alternator. However, they called me afterward to tell me that my car now has a major power steering leak near the alternator and they refused to fix it because they weren't sure they had caused it. They also refused to work on it if I paid for it, saying my car is too old and they didn't want to work on it anymore. Power steering fluid is literally gushing out and the car isn't safe to drive more than a few minutes. I took it to another shop a block away and got quoted $1000 to fix this major power steering leak that suddenly showed up while my car was at Auto Techs, right near where they had been servicing my car.

Came in for brake work. They charged me a brake inspection fee. Didn't realize that other places don't. They then quoted me significantly more than another nearby shop. Refused to price match. I decided to go elsewhere.

Manual labor costs were very high. 400 dollars in repairs. The issue they were trying to fix hasn’t been resolved at all. Front desk was friendly

These guys are awesome. They are honest, fair priced, and they really do care about their customers. They want to actually take care of their clients and aren't just after the money. I was treated more like a friend than a customer. I won't be going anywhere else if I can help it.

After calling multiple dealerships to try and find the proper torque specs I decided to call here and within less than five minutes I was able to get all the information I was looking for. I came in thinking I needed a power steering pump after it went out I dropped it off very early in the morning and was told Instead, it was nothing more than a blown fuse great shop, and great staff definitely highly recommend this place

I have consistently received great service from Auto Techs. My family has been loyal customers since 2000. Hugh, Brian and their staff have always been honest, prompt, professional, and friendly. Today, they performed a state inspection on my vehicle and I only waited for 15 minutes in their comfortable waiting room. Other times, we have had our cars serviced here from oil changes to repairs, and even had my car towed to their garage. They are honest and honor their quotes. So happy to have a trustworthy auto mechanics shop so close to home who takes care of my whole family.

I’ve taken my car in here three times now. The first time they got me in and out in one day. Fixed my overheating problem and I’ve been good since. Next time I went in they fixed my belt. I have three belts in my car and one of them snapped. I took it in to get the belt fixed and once they were done, they told me that they fixed the belt, but now my AC doesn’t work. Weird.. but I also don’t know much about cars so I didn’t think much of it. My cars been running fine so I tried not to assume anything. Came back to them a third time to get my AC compressor and AC belt fixed.. they quoted me $1700. I told them that’s more than i was expecting and I’ll come pick the car up. Called me back a SECOND time 5 minutes later time with another quote cause apparently “they forgot they fixed my other belts”. They offered me a $1500 quote. WEIRD. What kinda of company offers a quote without even fully inspecting the car? Especially considering I must have paperwork in their database showing what repairs I’ve had done. Just weird. I called around and got my AC fixed at another mechanic for a MUCH better price. Not sure if they were trying to rip off a young female just trying to get her car fixed or what…

When you find a good repair shop my recommendation is stick to it. They are always fair in price with good service technicians. I’ve been using this shop since about 2014 when it was recommended by my neighbor.
