As a relatively new SF resident, I had to find a car repair place very quickly. I lucked out as Automotive Clinic happened to be in my neighborhood! They could not have been better - assisting me diagnose my car's problem over the phone, quickly making the repair, and negotiating with my insurance company. I could not have asked for better service!

Larry and his team were more than helpful at my first visit! I started having trouble with my car on a day trip in San Fransisco around 3 when all clinics were closing anytime from 4-6. I am originally from Fremont and knew I wouldn't be able to make it home in the state it was in. AAA towed me to this amazing shop and they moved me to the front of the list and got to work so I could make it home the same day. They found the problem very quickly, explained what was wrong and how to stop it from happening again and offered great service and conversation while I was waiting. I would trust these guys with my car 101 times out of a 100 and give them a 5 star review without a doubt.

Larry was straightforward, honest and genuinely helpful when we brought in a car that was, frankly, beyond repair. He's a very good mechanic, but beyond that, a kind man to my young daughter who was more than 350 miles from home and didn't know what to do in the situation. I would recommend him highly.

Great complete update on 2015 Fiat 500 with 8000 miles. Good attention to detail, and thoroughness of service. Expensive but worth the cost. I will go back to them again.

I drove my car to the Auto Clinic shop, where it died right by the entrance. Larry restarted my car and drove it inside. Within half an hour, one of his mechanics, Sampson, diagnosed my car with a bad alternator. The following day, I received a phone call from Larry that my car was ready. I felt relieved because I considered it an emergency. If you ever need a dependable and reliable shop, see Larry, the owner, and his great mechanics.

You have come to the right place! The only garage when you need one in San Francisco!! This is the longest review I have ever done but trust me it’s worth reading…. On Friday at 5 pm my car was overheated and got towed by AAA. I called many places and nobody would accept a towed car at this time. It was the worst time for me after 20 hour international flight and I just desperately wanted to drive back home which is 90 miles away. Out of all the worst things, Larry is the best thing happened. I stumbled on Automotive clinic by AAA website. They were busy at 530 but Larry called me back and said they open until 7 pm on Friday and Saturday so he can take my car. Turned out the thermostat was broken and I have to leave my car overnight. I had to take a zip car to drive back home and come back on Saturday to return the zipcar and take my car. They fixed it very quickly, did many test drive to make sure everything is ok and called me to get my car at 2 pm on Saturday. Unfortunately, after 5 mins on the way back, my car was overheated again and I had to drive back to Automotive clinic. Out of the blue, one fan stopped working. At that time, I told them that I cannot stay a night here (it was 6 pm again, 90 miles away from home, no car). I honestly told them that I cannot afford any fixing cost in San Francisco, I am just a trainee and back home it maybe cheaper. I asked if there is anything they can do to at least get me drive back home tonight. They did tell me it’s not safe to drive but they tried many things including wired bypass an AC fan to keep the engine cool preventing it from overheating. Eventually, nothing worked, the whole fan unit and modules stop working. This could have happened anywhere at anytime but I was so lucky it was here. Larry took his Audi from garage and washed it. He said take his car, go back home, get some sleep. They will fix my car and match the price with my home town. Then someone will drive my car back to me to make sure the car really works and swap the Audi back….. by that time I couldn’t hold my tears anymore 😭. Larry is a saint and this place is existing!!! My car was delivered in front of my house on Tuesday by Michael, who is also super nice. Larry did gave me a big discount which he didn’t have to. Also wanted to shout out to Sammy. He is really a good mechanic, explained everything to me and tolerated my zero knowledge about engines. This place is unreal (considering nowadays there are so many shady auto-shop trying to rip you off) and full of amazing staff. They are knowledgeable, efficient and really care about you. If you wonder what car I have - it’s the Ford Edge.. this car has given me lots of headaches. Stay away from it at all cost. Larry… please take care of yourself. Thank you for everything and I hope to never see you soon 😂

Larry and the team at automotive clinic did an incredible job when my car was victim of a hit and run. Larry helped me navigate the insurance process so that I was able to get insurance to not deem the car a total loss and then they did a fabulous job of fixing it. I’m really happy with the job that they did and very pleased that they are near me.

Larry opened the shop at 6:30am! He is on time professional and will have your vehicle running again with in 48 hours or less! I am happy I found him; the Automotive Clinic! The Team that makes up the Automotive Clinic are a wonderful bunch of professional people that take care of your vehicle as if it was their own. I can't say enough about them.

My car stalled when I was visiting San Francisco which unfortunately left me stranded! I had my car towed to the nearest AAA approved shop where Larry and the other mechanics there managed to diagnose and change my car battery despite how busy they already were on a Friday night. I’m incredibly grateful to the crew and how patiently Larry explained the issue to me. I highly recommend their service! Although out of respect for their time, I also suggest calling ahead.
