My family has used Automotive Specialities for many years to service our 1970 MGB. They are honest, friendly, competent, and go out of their way for their customers.

Steve and Art und their team do excellent work! I have been a very happy customer for many years, during which they fixed a bunch of my cars and trucks. Always knowledgable, finding the issue the first time (even in unusual vehicles!), repairing at a very reasonable cost and in a short time, and looking out for their customers (hints and tips, and not trying to sell you something else which is not needed). I would gladly give more than five stars if I could. Not many shops like these exist, very down-to-earth, grounded, nice, honest, and always a pleasure to work with. While it is always annoying when your car or truck breaks down and you have to get it fixed, at least this team will make it the least painful and give you a smile in the end when you go to pay and pick it up. Thumbs up! Update Feb 2020: every time I make a less-than-perfect experience with an auto repair shop these days, I always think back to Steve & Art form Automotive Specialties, and sigh -- you guys have been the best (!) shop I have ever been to. Always found all the issues the first time, and fixed them all the first time, too - no need to come back to repair the repair, ever! And on top very reasonably priced. I am on my 47th car now, which I owned in various places in the US and in Europe; and have thus seen many shops (since I prefer to drive cars I own und have character, i.e. older and more prone to need repairs and maintenance). Of all those shops I have been to for car or truck repairs, this one was always BY FAR the best. I miss you guys!

They wanted me to pay $100 to tell me what was wrong with my car when I went there specifically 4 then to tell me how much it would cost to fix something on my Mercedes that they specialize in Why would I pay somebody $100 to tell them what's wrong with my car

I have been taking my 1970 MGB to these guys for about 26 years. If you have an MG that needs some work this is the place. They are a pleasure to work with. JW Odom

I highly recommend taking your car to Art and Steve to work on!! Everytime I have had an issue I can always trust that I will get the right answer and it will be fixed the first time without all the run arounds and at a great price unlike some of the dealership experiences I've had. Their customer service is top notch and I bet you couldn't find anything that compares to it anywhere else!! Thanks for helping me out yall and I know I'm always in good hands when it comes to keeping my cars on the road for years to come. My wife and I own an 85 Jaguar XJS and the work they put into this car is unbelievable, we couldn't have imagined it would look this good and run this awesome. Thanks again Art and Steve, your shop is definately #1 in my book and should be in others as well.

Steve and Art at Automotive Specialties service and repair my orange custom BMW M3 - I trust them more than any dealership. Always honest and fair (plus really nice to deal with) and the car is ready when they say it is ready. And eventhough they repair many "normal" cars, I feel quite good when my beemer is right next to a $100,000 black classic Aston Martin from the 1970s in their shop (they specialize in fancy Brit cars)

a friend of mine from Australia bought a camper van in Florida to travel through the US and Canada. On the way he broke down with it in Dallas, and having had a horrible experience in another shop on the way he was very wary about going to a random shop again for his brakes. A friend and I referred him to Art and Steve at Automotive Specialties, and told him they would for sure take care of him, know what they are doing, and charge very reasonably for work and parts (and explain what they do and why, especially since he is from abroad). Here is what he (James Long from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) had to say to me later, when he was back home: "They were magnificent (especially after Tullulah, Lousiana where the 'repairer' destroyed a serviceable $750 fuel pump when the problem was a fuse and did not want to look at why the brake warning light was coming on!)" I think it speaks for itself, and you can verify this with both James and the shop of course. Myself I had only a minor issue, when I was up from Sugarland in Dallas once. I drove a Porsch 911 at the time, and it made funny noises, so I stopped by. Steve test-drove my car and took his time to explain to me that there was nothing 'wrong' with it, probably just a dried-up leaf in one of the vents, which "hammers" against the outlet at higher speed. He was all smiles and did not even charge me for it. Later it turned out that it was axactly that, a leaf with a little branch, when I took the car in for service and they dug around a little while it was in the shop. Some other shop could have easily turned this leaf into a couple hundred bucks worth of repairs.

I only let Steve and Art repair my car! They specialize in British fancy sports cars but they also fix my 22 year old Chevy Caprice with a quartermillion miles on it.. and for low $$ and its done ALWAYS right the first time. Thumbs Up and 5 Stars from me! This revew is linked ot my profile, so I will back it up if needed! :-)
