Good honest work, and a good price I took my only vehicle to get a new starter after it started to fail, Alex got me taken care of a soon as possible and even provided a lender vehicle at no charge. I admit I want sure about the place at first but no way will I be going anywhere else for any future car trouble. I can for sure recommend truck doctor. If you read this Alex, sorry again about the keys!

Thousands of dollars to these people and vehicles are still messed up...waste of time and money. WARNING, they will use YOUR vehicle for transport and other things while it's there. They will also break stuff so you have to get more repairs.

Alex and Jay are very understanding and great Guys…they fix my Chevy 2014 the timing chain broke…b4 them another mechanic told me it was my fuel pump good I got a second opinion….my engine light off ..so far my car drives better then when I bought it…they was understanding about my family issues at the time and they worked with me..kept me updated on everything.. im truly thankful for them calling and working with me….I would on my experience recommend them…Thanks Again Alex & Jay…

My 2007 sequoia was having vibrations. They fixed the brakes and rotors and found a leak in my power steering fluid, so replaced the racket pinion and the computer also detected a defective pump. The repairs were so much less than if I had taken it to Toyota and under warranty . Great job and great people. I will return here when I need to.

2019 car broke down. Tow guy took it there. Horrible service (called x6 times just to get someone to pock up), quoted ridiculous price, and argued with me over sending it to dealership. I wished I can say better things. Screenshot attached. Not sure if people think they can get away with such bullying in 2023!

Alex and Jay are phenomenal! I’ve been using them for years and on different vehicles. They are the best in Birmingham! Great service, will fix your issues and let you know honestly if you can afford to wait on a repair or if it’s needed to save your vehicle in the long run. Every time anything is wrong with one of my cars, I always call them immediately. My car runs better than when it left the lot thanks to them!!

Had $2200 of work done and paid for my lights and trailer lights to get fix..they told me they rewired everything for me..well they lied.. after the 3rd time bringing it back to them they said they can't figure it out..well went to another and got it fixed for half the price..they new put any new wires in my truck..liars

I called the shop and spoke with Alex whom I shared details of my issue and what I was needing done. I had check engine, abs, traction control and brake light on. I have been a shade tree for over 12 years so I know my way around an engine. After listening to my problem, Alex said abs module would solve some of my issue so I paid$300 for used module from salvage yard. Not sure if he actually changed it out but no more abs, traction and brake light. I Initially also asked for one O2 sensors that I couldn't get out(change) to be replaced (I changed the other three). Brand New sensor that I purchased was left in locked vehicle when I dropped truck off. When I changed out drive shaft because of bad carrier bearing I noticed the sensor had not been replaced and check engine light back on. When I called Alex at the shop he said "nothing I can do". He replaced sensor that needed instead of what I asked and paid for 🤔. So why is check engine light back on same day I picked up. I would have settled for O2 sensor to be returned but what I got was shady, unprofessional service.

I had my vehicle towed here on 5-13-2023 as I had received an oil change from Jiffy Lube earlier and it was now running rough with the engine light on. After doing diagnostic testing it was found that chamber where the cabin filter was changed was not properly secured and the chamber was not cleaned of debris and the computer had to reset. My vehicle was back running as it was running prior to my oil change. I would definite recommend. ABAN the tow truck driver is a rock star and all the staff at Automotive & Truck Doctor that I interacted with was awesome. I am thankful for their professionalism and compassion given.

No Stars !!!!!! He’s the worst!!! I paid money to This guy and he put a used axle on my car also the axle did not fit that caused more damage to my car therefore I had to take it to someone else that cost me more money After the fact when I called to get it repaired he quickly got Defensively and didn’t want to hear a word I had too say Scam , Non Dependable, Not a man of his work I would highly recommend going somewhere else

One of the best mechanic shops in Birmingham as far as I know cheap labor honest people quick and fast service they even send you a tow truck to get your vehicle to their shop even sometimes they offer you a loaner vehicle in case you stuck with no vehicle until they get your vehicle fixed... my grandfather being dealing with them for 30 years that's how long they've been on that corner JD known as American flag ask for him and Alex

Very knowledgeable staff and fair pricing! Hands down the best mechanics in the Hoover area. I took my 1993 Nissan truck in for a wiring problem and they found several issues that were resolved and I haven't had any issues since. Thank you guys!

I own a 2005 Mazda Tribute that kept running hot and I did not know the reason why a friend saw where I had a leak in my radiator so I had it replaced it kept running hot I was advised to change the thermostat had it replaced and the hoses and they continue to run hot I took it to a professional I did not like the advice or the quote of 4,400. While driving home on Lorna Road trying to figure out what to do next I saw a shop engine repair I stopped in and inquire about the services I was given a contact card and later that day I left a message with Mr Jay the very next day he contacted me and advised me to bring the vehicle in for him to take a look at it and give it diagnostic test in 3 days my vehicle was fixed I was shocked and in disbelief with laughter and tears and the savings of $4,000 and a discount. Thank you Jay and your team at automotive and truck doctor you guys are a blessing.

I would highly recommend Automotive & Truck Doctor. Everyone there is professional, knowledgeable and super friendly. They’re honest with their work as well. They don’t make you do unnecessary repairs and rob you for your money. They get what is needed to be done, done in a timely manner.
