Auto-Motives has become SNOOTY. I have brought my truck here for repairs in the past. This time, they said they didn't want to work on it because it was too old (2001 Ford F350) and too many miles.

Josh, Greg and Dana were such a pleasure to work with! I had my differentials re-geared on my F-250 and everything went perfectly smooth. They also installed an extra leaf spring for my rear suspension and an air-bag system for towing. Communication was awesome and I love the results!

My boss referred them to me 4 years ago now I bring both my vehicles here, a 2007 F150 and a 2018 Toyota Camry. Never have they price gouged me or taken advantage of me. They listen to me and don’t disregard what I have to say about the problem I want them to look at. For the Camry, they took over regular maintenance when the warranty ended with the dealership, they are so much faster, less money and do all the same routine stuff! I recommend this shop for any reason you need a mechanic!

This place has helped me out twice over the years, with my 7.3 L 2002 E350 camper van. Once with an oil leak and once with a fuel leak. They are very professional and knowledgeable and I am really grateful that there exists a diesel mechanic like this in Santa Cruz. They are a small operation so I imagine your mileage could vary if they were too busy and you were in a hurry, but I've gotten lucky both times, they are very flexible and accommodating and knowledgeable. 10 out of 10 would come here again.

I would give the people that run Auto-Motives infinite stars if I could. Every single person that works there is among the kindest, most honest, and all around wonderful people I have ever met in the auto industry (or any industry for that matter). Josh, Aurelio, Katie (and now Natalie) have taken care of me and my van for the past year, and have been flexible, if not accommodating every single time. Josh and Aurelio work so hard, and they deserve every praise that can be sung in their direction and more. Give them your business, your vehicle will be in the best of hands.

One of the last honest mechanics in the world! I've been coming to auto-motives for over 25 years (Josh carries on the tradition of supurb customer service from Bob, the previous owner). Josh and his staff are amazing. He's honest, real and when you're not totally flush, he can get your car back on the road safely...with a timeline of when to get back to take care of other items. I drive across the county to take my three cars to him. Won't go anywhere else for repairs.

We were on vacation. My clutch slave cylinder went out. I crippled it to Auto-Motives at 7:30AM. They gave us a ride back to our campsite ( 5 miles ) away. I called them at 9:30AM to see what was going on. They said it was fixed and they were on their way to pick me up. Very nice and professional staff and service. I will recommend them to anyone. They treated me with courtesy and as a peer in explaining every step and choice while diagnosing and replacing wheel bearings. He knew we were from out of town and would not be back so his heart is true. Good service, good price. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Auto- Motives shop

I loved working with Josh. He's totally down to earth and tells you like it is. He doesn't try to swindle you and just gets the job done! He went above and beyond for me, making sure my car was fixed in time for a smog check. I'll definitely be coming back!

Josh always takes good care of me. Anytime I have a problem he always take care if it quickly. Dana in the office is always helpful and seems knowledgeable.
