Andy and his crew are the best. My old truck wags its tail when we enter the parking lot since she knows she is visiting the doctor! Work is always excellent, honest, timely, they have everything. Even though it is a ways out, there is an Enterprise car rental right by them that picks up and takes you back. Trust is a key in this kind of service and you can trust Andy and his crew. And just to update this review--my '99 truck is still running well thanks to the team at AVEC! Great work and great advice from them always! Update in 2025: Still driving my wonderful old 1999 truck and the crew at AVEC are keeping her running. Just took her in for the old truck issues (door latch, hinges, brake fluid, etc.) It is so important you find a mechanic (and crew) you can trust and I can't imagine any business better than this one!

AVEC provided prompt and efficient service. I took my car in before 9am, told them I needed an oil change and had a problem involving the front of my car - a scraping sound when I backed out of my sloping driveway. They quickly found and fixed the problem with the front of my car and then changed the oil. I left less than an hour after I arrived - not knowing what was causing my problem or how long it would take to fix. I highly recommend AVEC!

Always, always the best service! From the phone call to schedule appointment to payment....everyone professional, courteous, and BTW great service to our cars! Timely appointment schedule kept! Top notch reliability on services needed for my car. Since moving to the Triangle( seven years ago) AVEC has been my go to for anything car related!! They are hands down ,the best !

From out of town with a potential problem with my f150. Before Al even saw it, he talked through a workaround that involved no work. A lot of shops will take that as an opportunity to do unnecessary work. I was very thankful. I will be back when I need work, for sure.

I bring several vehicles here and they are always honest and accurate. I appreciate the fact that they don't try to sell me extra services. When one of my vehicles needed a new engine and I decided not to do the work, they let me store the car there for a couple of weeks until I was able to get it towed.

Just recently they put up with my calling multiple times because I thought my Subaru was overheating. They took their time looking at it, assessed the issue (air bubble in the coolant), and let me know I could come and pick it up. No issues to fix, so they didn’t charge me. I… frankly I’m humbled. I have been to a variety of garages & after having nothing but overwhelmingly negative experiences with them & my dealership I gave Avec a shot and boy was that a fantastic decision. They are a delightful hidden gem. They clearly care about their customers & their customers care about them, I had taken my car in for a diagnosis (which they didn't charge me for) and I was in the lobby listening to each of their interactions with various customers and they were patient and jovial and everyone felt like they were stopping in to chat with friends. My car had something of a unique problem that no one has ever caught in the last 8 years, these guys caught it right away & got the parts and had it fixed a week fairly quickly. They also noticed my tire's belt had broken when it was up & called me to talk through it and ended up keeping it another day but helped me avoid a blow out. My car now feels soooo smooth & like brand new and without breaking the bank. Give these guys a chance, you won't regret it.

PROFESSIONALISM at its best! Jeep Cherokee had a vibration that two other chain shops could not figure out. Had two recommendations for AVEC from people who did not know each other (one a neighbor and one a co-worker). Came in and worked with Eric. He found it was the rear differential, communicated my options and gave me his recommendation. Was done a week earlier and $200 cheaper than initially quoted. Has taken me year to find a new shop since my last one sold to new owners. Will be coming back here for everything. Shout out to Andy and Kim for great customer service as well!

Very impressed with the mechanics, especially Andy and Eric, who took my sports car in on a Friday evening with a clutch hydraulic issue (clutch pedal stuck to the floor board and unable to shift gears) and returned it to me repaired on Monday morning at 9:30am. Great service and explanations. I recommend this shop to all my automotive customers.

I’m certainly not the first, and will not be the last person to give AVEC Service Center a perfect 5 star review. I took my “new to me” 24 year old vehicle in for some repairs and had a wonderful experience. The whole staff at AVEC truly care about customers and work their tails off to ensure a positive experience. Whether you have a muscle car, sports car or a normal grocery getter, I highly recommend you take your vehicle to AVEC for repairs. I’m happy to have found a lifelong mechanic for my vehicles.

Was having some issues with stopping thought it was break pads turned out to be broken piece of something behind one of the wheels. They were able to get it fixed within the time frame I needed it back by. Not sure how they calculate the price for labor but.... see photos attached. Other than the sticker shock very pleased with the service and flexibility to pick up after hours due to late flight coming home. Thanks guys

I am feeling quite conflicted about leaving this review. In short, the work they do at AVEC is great, but they really need to work on their customer service. I first brought a car into AVEC around 2020 and had a great experience. They quickly identified the source of an oil leak and didn't charge me a diagnostic fee when I got it fixed. I'd used them several times since for minor things (oil changes and inspections) and had a great experience every time. My most recent experience was much less pleasant. I recommend a friend go when he was having issues with a car that he was borrowing from me. I booked an appointment on his behalf and told him about the good experiences I'd had with AVEC before. It took them a full day to even look at the car, despite having an appointment for first thing in the morning. After a day or radio silence, I called the next morning. They informed me that they'd looked at the car and hadn't gotten around to contacting me yet, and told me the time frame for the repair, more than a week for a gasket replacement. the time frame they offered for the repair wouldn't work for my friend who was borrowing the car, so i told them he'd be picking up the car that day. When my friend picked up the car, he was charged a $150 diagnostic fee that hadn't be mentioned to him when he dropped the car off, or to me over the phone when I booked the apt or arranged to go pick the car up. My friend left a negative review as a result. That night, I received a call from an employee at AVEC who insulted me and my friend and informed me I was banned as a result of the negative review. This is a very disappointing outcome, as I had previously been very pleased with AVEC and had previously recommended them to friends.

I used AVEC for standard maintenance for the second time, and my experience was just as positive. In addition to my maintenance request, they fixed a lingering problem with the mud shield under my car at minimal cost. I plan to continue bringing all my car service needs to AVEC. Service is outstanding and pricing is very reasonable.

Andy the owner is terrific. With 2 different cars of mine he engaged in a good discussion about the pros/cons of skipping the repairs and using the money to buy a newer car. I greatly appreciate that. His prices are moderate, but high value. He's rarely the lowest or the highest cost, but always high solid value. I've read the lower ratings about customer service. Admittedly some of his front desk staff can sometimes (NOT always!!!) require a little skill and effort to navigate, but it's certainly worth it to be able to work with Andy. And who doesn't have a bad day at the office once in awhile???? Also: I just had a phone call with them for 15 minutes where they answered all my followup questions about a diagnosis they made. 15 minutes! This is a great shop! On the whole a great shop that our family has used and valued for several years, and they're my unequivocal go-to referral for others.

When my mother is happy with the service and likes them as people, you know they are doing things the right way :-)

We have been using AVEC for years now, and not only is their service excellent they are also speedy in getting the work on your car finished. Perhaps one of the most important reasons to continue using AVEC's service is that they're honest about the repairs your car needs, never trying to "upsell" you on unneeded services. Add that to their professionalism and friendliness and you have the perfect business to use for your car's needs.
