I have been coming here for last 6 years. Excellent workmanship, nice friendly staff. Very good place to bring in your car for maintenance and repairs, especially BMWs.

Where do I begin? Well, first of all, this shop isn't great at communicating. I brought in my car to have my brakes worked on. They said the aftermarket master cylinder that I put in my car was damaged, but then they told me it wasn't usable due to being an aftermarket part, which they should've told me in the first place. I felt as though I was being misled. What's more, I noticed some other issues with my car once I picked it up: the hood release handle was broken and the brake warning light was on. Given how poor they are at communicating, they didn't say anything about either problem prior to me picking up my car, so I ended up bringing it back. I'll give them credit for replacing the hood release handle, but I won't give them credit for addressing the warning light. I guess they thought I was talking about the ABS light since they "fixed" that, but my car doesn't have ABS, so I don't know what planet they're living on. Either they have no grasp of the English language, or they simply don't care. In any case, they told me that the brake warning light was on from before I initially took my car in to have the brakes worked on. I didn't know that because I didn't attempt to start my car before having it towed, nor was the issue brought to my attention during their inspection. That's assuming they did one. Nonetheless, I wouldn't recommend this shop unless you like dealing with people who don't know how to communicate.

My vehicle is a BMW which constantly has problems, this shop has been very good and diagnostics of the problems. They pretty much fix the vehicle within a day or two. I enjoy the service provided as it is always professional and quick. Peter and Sir Alex are great guys who care about the vehicles.

It’s been a few years since Peter and the folks at Bakersfield Motor Works (Peter) repaired my beloved 06 BMW…, But I have to give a definite shout out to these folks for the fantastic repair of my vehicle. I had a significant engine issue with leaking valve seals, which was efficiently repaired for 1/3 of the price that was quoted by the local dealer. The performance of the car was remarkably improved and continues to be so. I continue to enjoy driving my 18 year old car and have had numerous offers to buy it from me even from the local dealer! Thanks again guys and continue to do your excellent work!

I took my truck in for a tune up,was told they had to diagnose it for 140.00.they put plugs and wires and a wheel bearing 5 days 692.00$ and still has rough idle.

Bakersfield Motorworks is a great repair shop. Peter and Chepé are very experienced mechanics, and run an orderly workplace. They are nice to work with. They know what they are doing. You can tell their people are treated well.

On a road trip from the SF area to NOLA, we learned our AC was not functioning. Peter offered us a system test or a Freon service and we ended up getting both. Luckily the test showed no problems and we are keeping cool in the desert! Peter has a really nice crew who made us feel at home while we waited. The price was right especially compared to what we pay in the Bay Area! Thank you guys!

Fast, efficient, and fairly priced for the work that needs to be done. Their specialty is more focused on European made vehicles. Such as mini, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, land Range Rover to name a few. I don't trust many places but Bakersfield Motor Works I do trust.

Very fast and great work. They breakdown the problem to you so that you may understand and if you would like to go forward with the work with said price of repair plus labor. I highly recommend them. Always working on foreign cars. I'm telling you from experience. Trust in their work. You won't disappointed.
