While working on my car my personal mechanic ended up having my spark plugs disintegrate in his hand. One of them even broke off into the engine block. Firestone told me they couldn't do the job and sent me over here. I wish I had found Baos sooner. From the wonderful customer service to the amazing experience of meeting bao himself, I would 10 out of 10 recommend this place to anyone looking to fix their car. He was able to squeeze me in in an absolute emergency and get me out of there all within 2 hours. I was so impressed with his ability not only to multitask but maintain a cleanly workplace in a field that is almost impossible to do as such. Bao and his wife have the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met and I am so grateful to have had such a fantabulous experience today. Thank you guys for helping me out in such a tough spot. Y'all are definitely the mechanic from now on. Thank you so much!

Change my transmission, rear differential and transfer box oil here. Bao is extremely professional and knew what to do at minimal price with maximal efficiency. If you have any questions, Bao can take care of it of course! P.S And dogs are really cute

Bao Auto Repair is awesome. They were super fast, asked me 2 questions and brought the car in and finished in no time. They had to order the brake pads first, and a guy from the local auto parts store delivered it right away. AND! He even offered to drill out and replace the bolts for my back license plate for Free!! It was completely stripped and rusted shut after years on salted roads. $90 for my rear brake pads which were making a grinding noise. Even the taxes were only $2. They had great reviews on reddit so I went for it and I'm so glad I did! I'll be recommending these guys to everyone.

Bao was a life saver! My family and I were in Knoxville from out of town and our Honda Odyssey needed work before making the 280 mile trip home. Bao and his team were able to work us into their busy Monday morning and get us fixed up quickly and on the road! Great local auto repair business!

Did not get service but got quoted for a water pump and frankly very great prices compared to anywhere else offered a price of 1200 other places offered 1500 on the low end and 2800 on the high end

I called and explained what was going on with my car, what I’d done to try and fix it, and Bao promptly stated “If you know everything what are you calling me for”….very rude, unprofessional, and uncalled for.

I had an issue with my car recently and had it taken in to Bao's- he figured it out ridiculously quick, and had it fixed up in hours after that. He charged very little for labor, and even gave me a bargain on an oil change I asked for. I can't recommend him highly enough!

We can not thank Bao and his hard working team enough for the outstanding service we received. We are from Canada and had to stop in Knoxville with car troubles. After calling a bunch of garages, he was our last hope. It was a very professional and thorough job, in one day. Everyone we spoke with said that it was at least a 2-3 day job. These guys saved us! The price was fair. You can trust them to take care of your car troubles for a reasonable price. We would feel lucky to have a garage like this close to home!

Got quoted $1110 by Carfix for a new set of brake pads and rotors. Bao charged $240 and was finished in 30 minutes—no appointment. Going to get cash so I can come back and tip.

I took my car there, and they diagnosed it as needing an AC compressor replacement. Thankfully, I didn’t agree, as it turned out there was nothing wrong with the compressor.

I'm disappointed to have to take the 5 stars down. Yea, you kept me laughing because I'm a positive person however Craftiness is forbidden and the dogs are a safety hazard. If you are antichristian then you need signs of warnings. Also, stop marking people's motors taking miscellaneous parts off to keep them coming back.

I can't say anything about their work as I haven't had them work on my vehicle. I was going to give them my business after all the good reviews I read but I tried calling them today during hours and several times the phone just went unanswered. Finally a woman answered and got my information and told me she'd call me back after the owner/mechanic got back in from a test drive with a customer. I waited a little over an hour and called back. Same thing the first couple times calling back - no answer. Then when she did answer again she told me he was still with a customer and it would only be 5 to 10 minutes before she called me back. Never heard from her. They apparently are so busy they don't need any more business. Plain unprofessional to treat people that way.

Mr. Bao is great! My Honda 2010 Odyssey needs some repairs. He replaced the timing belt, water pump; fixed damaged front bumper; replaced 4 tires and fixed alignment. He is a great guy that does excellent work with a reasonable price. I highly recommend!

This place is great. I initially took my car somewhere else that specialized in AC, and they wanted $950 for the condenser, labor, and recharge. I bought the condenser for $45 online, took it to Baos and had them put it in and give me a recharge for a fraction of that price. Will be coming back.

This shop is one of the busiest in Knoxville for a reason! Bao's was recommended to me when I first moved here and I have never wanted or needed to go anywhere else to get my car fixed. Over the years, Bao has fixed a variety of things on my car from engine work to body work to electronical problems, always in the most efficient and knowledgeable manner possible. And let me just say, they are the most fairly priced place in town. In fact, I think they undercharge for the the amount of labor they put in sometimes. I appreciate how hard they work and know that they are some of the most honest people out there in a field of business where honesty can be hard to come by.

Waste people's time and money. I made an appointment to get my car fixed after they told me I needed to go buy the part myself and bring it to them. So I did this then they wanted to argue with me about what needed done on my car after I've had several shops run test and tell me exactly what was wrong with my car and after they said they would fix it. My whole morning was wasted and I wasted money on Ubers to drop my car off and pick it up for it to not even get fixed because a grown man would rather argue with me than do exactly what my appointment was made for and what they told me they would fix. My brakes are giving out and I needed this fixed asap as it's clearly a dangerous issue and all they did was waste my time and money and had me buy a part and make an appointment for absolutely no reason.

Listen. This place isn't pretty and it’s out of the way for me, but I’ll be back. I believe the owners are trustworthy and want to help. It’s rare to find a mechanic I trust. Highly recommend!

Absolutely awful experience with this car shop. Brought the car in mid-December after an accident and paid about $800 to get it back mid February when he told me that the whole car was fixed but on the 20 minute drive home, the car broke down on the highway and wouldn’t start at all so I got it towed back to him. The car was there until two days ago, June 20th, and an additional payment of 1200 was required and since I’ve gotten it back, the engine barely runs and the car has broken down twice in the two days I’ve had it. There are a lot of other issues that the car still has, I had to get the oil changed and the man who I went to first said that the engine was taped together and he couldn’t work on it and that other things were put in wrong that other mechanics don’t feel comfortable working on the car. In short, I was out of a car for about 6 months while it was at the shop and it still doesn’t work, $2000 later and I’m still without a car. I don’t trust going back to this shop with any vehicle I have in the future. The picture is an example of one of the things wrong with the car when he gave it back to me, saying that it was all fixed. Really disappointing experience and a waste of time and money. Edit since there was a response. When I received the car back, he told me it was “all fixed.” Very obviously it wasn’t and still barely runs. After I gave him the car back the 2nd time, it still had a multitude of issues and I had to take it to several other shops for them to tell me just how badly the work was done. I appreciate the response but during the time you had my car, you were extremely hard to get ahold of, not returning my calls and just leaving me hanging after trusting you with my car for several months while I was struggling to maintain the several jobs I held to afford ur prices, prices that jumped fantastically but still, not a running car. When I received the car the first time after you had it for several months, you literally cut out the airbag in front of me and taped it shut and the car had NO SEATBELT. The second time I received it, I was told you’d get a used seatbelt from Etsy or Ebay and I wouldn’t be able to get it back until the end of July. At this point, whatever narrative you want to spin doesn’t change the fact that you took advantage me after I gave you my car for several months and truly, I’m really disappointed in the subpar service I received after hearing decent things about you. I hope you do better by your clients in the future.

I called Boa yesterday, I told him my Ac Compressor went out on my Nissan Murano. He told me to bring it in the next day. I took it in this morning. My compressor was apparently hard to find. But Boa made sure he got one from Denso. Part arrived later in the afternoon. And Boa had me back on the road. With the coldest air in town. I had lots of friends recommend Boa. I drove from friendsville. And I absolutely see why. His reviews are so great. He isn't taking advantage of people. There was no way I was gonna be able to afford what others quoted. Boa I can't thank you enough. I think I've found my go to mechanic. Thanks a million.

No respectful manner from Bao and other staff should be expected. They do not care about your time and cost that may be imposed by their performance. They do not take any responsibility when their job is not the one that should be. I never recommend them to anybody.
