I’ve used Bao for 4 years and always had a good experience. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of, and their services always seem reasonably priced. They were able to accommodate me last-minute today for a state inspection and the price seemed very fair!

BEWARE! BEWARE! He’s no good! Diagnosed my car wrong several times charged almost $1000 and the problem is worse than before. He DOES NOT know what he’s doing!!!!!! Refused to give my money back for a problem he couldn’t fix. This bum should stick to oil changes. Attorney General of Philadelphia here we come!

I went to Bao after searching the neighborhood for an honest mechanic. After contacting other shops that were trying to fleece me.. I settled on Bao. Bao was my best decision. He fixed my car perfectly for a fair price. Thanks Bao.

Making this a 2 instead of a 1, because there were some good moments, and I don't want to hurt their ratings as a local business. Came to get a replacement of an exhaust pipe. Ended up costing a little more than expected, but that's fine- wanted to support a local business that everyone recommends! That's important especially in this time, small/local businesses need our support. Plus they had GLOWING reviews. But. I made it half a block after the repair before my engine shut off. Tried again and it would shut off again and again no matter what. Ended up having to have it towed by AAA. I'm not sure currently what happened. But even before the replacement, the car ran fine. It was just maintenance. Now it doesn't run. So... they're good for something minor like an oil change or alignment, but for actual "deeper" mechanical work, maybe look around a little more.

I've been going to Bao a few times now. Bao and his wife are super nice, take their time to answer my questions, and do a good job in a timely manner. Their price is always upfront and never surcharges me.

We were travelling from NJ and had terrible car troubles on the way. Thank god we found this place! They were so incredibly helpful, thorough, and truly lifesavers. They were able to take our car in on a saturday morning and were able to diagnose and repair the problems by the evening (we were only in Philly for the weekend so we desperately needed the car repaired!). It is an amazing place, with honest, trustworthy, fair, and kind people working there. I cannot recommend it enough, thank you SO SO SO much!
