Darrell E I've been to other shops in the area in the past. In my opinion Barnes shop has topped them all. They've always done great work on my vehicles and I recommend them to others. They don't have floppy blow up characters out front or banners hung everywhere. What they do have are reliable service mechanics and pleasant front desk people to help you. Thanks Barnes Auto!

One of the best shops in the business within the Louisville metro area!! They had my GMC 2001 Sierra 3500 diesel in and diagnosed within the first day they had the truck. After waiting on parts their estimated cost and delivery date of my truck to complete the repair was within cost of estimate and returned a day before they estimated to complete the repairs. Very very professional and helpful experience from start to finish! I highly recommend these guys!

The folks working at Barnes Auto are professional, very nice and very thorough. They test your car and provide you with an estimate of costs for the repair. This time they changed my oil and rotated my tires. They did the same to my husband's truck the next day. Highly recommend.

Wanted to give a quick shoutout to Barnes Auto Service! A little over a week ago I blew a brake line on my truck and I was having some other little gremlin electrical issues too. I had the truck towed to their shop on Thursday last week, they had the brake line fixed the next day, then spent the next 3 days going over the entire wiring harness to find the root of my issue. After finding it they got the part in and got it fixed next day. I picked up the truck yesterday morning and the brake pedal was a little soft, figuring it would get better as the day went on I took off. Driving home last night I noticed it had gotten softer. So I called the shop and left a voicemail expecting a call back the next business day. Within 15 minutes I got a call from Chuck Barnes asking when I was available to get the problem figured out. This morning at 9 am he met me at his shop and we re bled the brakes and made sure that the truck was safe to be driving. Top notch service from a top notch team. Thanks again guys!

Barnes was able to review the problem with my car and send through email and option for service I could elect and pay for right on the spot. I thought after it might take a few days to complete but I called about middle of the day the next day and service was already wrapping up! Fantastic experience in an often hectic environment.

Barnes is the only place I trust to fix my cars. I went to Barnes after visiting a different auto repair shop that tried to price-gouge me on an air filter. That was a red-flag to me and I immediately went to Barnes to seek a second opinion. Barnes was honest, professional, and reasonable. Their technicians have always walked me through the repair process and explained the issues they had found with my cars. They also gave their honest and realistic opinions about what issues needed to be fixed and what I needed to monitor. They also stand by their warranty and will make good on their commitment to their customers.

Barnes is the only place that I take my cars for service. I can depend on them to only recommend the items that truly need to be done. An upscale dealership told me I need to spend $2k on items that ultimately didn’t need to be done. I was instead able to spend the money on needed tires and maintenance.

I highly recommend them for any car, but especially if you have a hybrid. They have the equipment, knowledge, & experience to deal with the specific issues of hybrid engines. I've been taking my 2008 Prius to Barnes for almost 2 years and they've been nothing but professional. Regardless if it's routine maintenance or more serious structural or electrical work, they never oversell or use high pressure tactics. They're honest and straightforward with their estimates and diagnoses and, if they make an error, they own up to it and fix it immediately & correctly. For example, after replacing a worn front right wheel bearing, the technician dropped the brake pad and it broke, so they replaced BOTH front brake pads (you never only replace one brake pad). I've also taken our 2010 Honda Pilot there, and were extremely happy with how they handled that work, too. They are great to work with, and I highly recommend.

Recently had problems with my 2008 Silverado. When it would not start I searched online for an auto service. I chose Barnes because of their 40+ years in the business and the many 5 star reviews. Spoke with Donnie and he was very professional, friendly and courteous. He ran a complete diagnostic and was back with me the very next day and went over and explained everything. My truck was repaired that day. I will definitely go to these guys again for other things brought to my attention. Very highly recommended.

If you have a fred Flintstone car and need it to drive like a Corvette, these guys will be the ones to get it done no doubt. Cory is cool as hell and was incredibly knowledgeable. Taught me more about my sprinter van in 1 visit and I've been driving them for 7 years now. They also provide a comedian on site for no extra charge! Love this shop! My sprinter van runs beautifully!!
