My engine said it was overheating I brought it in and showed the man working there the coolant that was splashed by the the coolant tank. I asked why its overheating and one employee said it's got to be either your thermostat or your water pump. I said you know what let's just change both of them I got a price agreed to it they call me back said they need another hose and a piece of plastic for an additional $250 on top of a $1,200 bill agreed to it.(had no choice) . The next day again the car was saying engine overheating brought it back,made me wait 2 hours to tell me the coolant tank is cracked.. So because I wanted my water pump and thermostat replaced without being diagnosed ,as they should have checked if it was flawed, they claim that the customer stated he wanted his water pump and thermostat changed and didn't go ahead and diagnos the REAL problem. (Honest mechanic would never change something if it would not solve the problem entirely) when I asked for an estimate to change the Coolant tank, i was told it would be an additional $650 and I would need to purchase a cap for a seperate charge ,that comes with the coolant tank.!!! CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!! they will charge you ENDLESSLY for whatever they can. the owner Jordan is one of the nastiest arrogant person anybody would want to do business with,, Because I went out on my own and didn't want to get ripped off , I ordered an OEM tank next door at Emils tire and mechanic shop for $200 (WITH THE CAP INCLUDED!!!) A week later I went back because the work he performed on the water pump was leaking he screamed at the top of his lungs cursing claiming he had no time and because i swapped out the tank myself I must have caused the problem (water pump and tank are not even next to each other) screaming get off the property and come back next week they don't have any time to look at it. DO NOT EVER GO HERE !!!!!!! I recommend a thousand times more Emil's tire repair and mechanical shop next door speak to Ralph , He's a diamond in Disguise next to that miserable grumpy jordan next door.

An honest place. Had my VW brakes done in June. Did not work properly due to faulty parts. With no hassle, for free, changed everything 4 months later. They also have a full time computer guy to deal with complexities of foreign and domestic cars. Not cheap. But you get what you pay for. Clean and nice place, highly recommended. October 2023. They did it again. Took my BMW in due to leaking washer fluid. They put it on a lift and checked it for two hours. Could not find nothing, probably tightened some screw, as leak stopped. Asked Jordan how much for the service, and he said nothing, as a courtesy to a long term customer. Truly a honest place.

My first visit was exceptional. Mike and Nick were not only incredibly helpful and kind but also patient, taking the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. I’ll definitely return for any future car issues. What stood out most was their honesty—they didn’t attempt to fix problems that didn’t exist, unlike some other mechanics. Truly a great place with outstanding professionals!

My smart car hasn’t been driven for 6 mos due to difficulties of finding the right mechanic to fix it. Been in different shop and they’re sucking me with an insane estimates where one shop gave me a 4thousand dollars to have it done. I was done I thot…. I’m not gonna spend that f….n number. (It was an engine issues) until I found BayDiagnostc, Mike is marvelous, very nice guy and he fix my car just like that with reasonable price. I’m very happy with the outcome. Excellent service and more power to you guys 👍👍👍

Update October 2024 : Bay Diagnostic is still the best, and my preferred mechanic for my smart car! Mike is super kind and helpful in managing my appointments and making sure my little car gets proper repairs. Thank you!! Jordan and his team at Bay Diagnostic have been taking care of my smart car since I first got her. They don't sell smarts in the states any more, so I have to keep her in good shape for years to come. Every time I go there there is at least one more smart car in the garage, they definitely know the odd details of smart cars at Bay Diagnostic. The guys always do a great job to ensure she's running smoothly, I have taken her on several long road trips without a problem! Thanks Jordan and your team!

I’ve replaced timing chain here, for my 2018 Audi Q5 , before to come here I was in many places, spent a lot of money for diagnostics, no one couldn’t tell what the problem was. And finally found this Bay Diagnostic.They are really professionals. They have specialist for European cars. I recommend everyone to come here, Don’t make my mistake.

Highly recommended!! I’m very particular about servicing my cars and been going to Bay Diagnostics for years: first with my BMW 5 series and now with my Porsche Macan S. Very reliable, friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. Worth the trip to southern Brooklyn. I’ll add that I now entrusted my daughter’s Audi A5 to Jordan and his team. Just an oil change and inspection for now but I would not want anyone else to work on my daughter’s car if/when more serious work is needed.

I had a BMW X5 with a broken air suspension compressor. Came in and got a $200 diagnostics. Got a quote for $3600, $2400 for 3 AFTERMARKET parts, compressor, solenoid and a relay, and $1000 for labor, + $200 initial diagnostics Started looking for the same aftermarket parts #s on Amazon and bought them for $450. After receiving the parts and bringing them to another shop, 2 out of 3 parts were not broken. I'm returning unused parts to Amazon, bringing my final parts bill to under $250. My labor bill was $160 I fixed my car for $410 instead $2400 If you care about your money, stay away from this place.

Bay Diagnostics has the three qualities that make a business the best to patronize . Competent, reasonably priced, and honest. My wife brought our older Smart car and they were proactive in recommending repairs that needed to ensure the safety and reliability to use as a dependable car for commuting . Having just moved from California, I was worried about finding a good auto shop. Not only is Bay Diagnostics a great shop, they were able to refer me to another great shop for some body work I needed done on my vehicle. Seasonal tire storage is a huge bonus as well, making having safe tires a breeze. Vehicle is a 2023 Genesis, and they didn’t bat an eye at a Korean vehicle.
