It was super important work . My two front tires were worn out and they were shaking the van bad. I had a friend recommended I get to a shop yesterday. The tires had the wires exposed. B.A.R. answered my prayers. They got me in quick. I was greeted by an employee. He was so friendly and professional. I looked around the shop was actually clean. I was escorted to the office. A Mr. Luna came in shortly to let me know how the inspection of the problem. They found that I needed a couple of rods . Well , Mr Luna was more than happy to explain and show me the problem. He actually saved me a big chunk of money in the long-run. I would like to personally recommend BEXAR AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR to my adult children and friends. whenever you have a repair that needs attention, or even better yet, your auto's maintenance schedule. Oil changes, tune ups. Stop wasting time running around looking for auto shop. Look no further BEXAR gotcha.

Reviews listed that are 5 years and older should not be under Bexar Automotive, those were reviews for B C Garage which was a previous owner and was sold to Bexar Automotive approximately 3 to 4 years ago. The business name was then changed from BC Garage to Bexar Automotive.

They're nice enough people which makes me legitimately wonder if they realize how inept they are and are too crooked to bother learning how to repair cars, or if they honestly don't know how bad they are at what they do. I spent $1000s having them fix a 30 year old truck but the more they "fixed" the more things went wrong. I'm having a friend who is just an average city employee and took high school auto shop classes straighten out all their messes now. To be fair, he's actually a mechanical genius. During a 12 month stretch when the truck wouldn't start for me, they installed all kinds of things from distributer caps to starters, none of which fixed the problem. They kept it for month, "rewiring" things, finally they tell me for the umpteenth time it was all fixed...mind you, they had given me this truck back over and over only to have me get stuck again and again when it wouldn't start again. But this time it was for sure fixed! Just like I heard 4 times (at least) before. No it wasn't. I'm sure at this point they knew I wouldn't be back and they didn't care. When I had my friend look at it, he discovered the problem immediately. It was a bad sensor. The Circuit Opening Relay Assembly. I think it was cutting off supply of fuel the the fuel pump so it could start. He replaced it and rewired all the rewiring they did, taking pictures all along the way, that showed how poorly they did that as well. I mean there were wires they touched that had the insulation cut and copper showing. They also installed a clutch and left the 4x4 high engaged, unknown to me, and when I finally tried to change it, it was stuck there. I've lost track of all the small things my buddy is still scratching his head over, even now, as he's fixing the 4x4 and the AC they had supposed "fixed" for me as well. I doubled the money I spent on this truck, paying them to fumble around with and install unnecessary parts. I don't even know how they're in business. I can't be the only person. I was even told the owner's wife was mad at him when her fuel pump died on a remote stretch of I-35. He was incredulous about it when telling me the story, but now I wonder how much she's had to endure over the decades having he and his employees jacking up her cars. I suspect she may know more about my frustration than anyone. i still don't think they're bad people, but perhaps worse than being crooked, they are just bad. From what my friend has said about the work they did, they must surely be so inept at fixing cars that they don't even realize it. He says there are technicians and there are mechanics. He says technicians can install stuff but they can't necessarily fix stuff. I think I know which one of the two the guys at Bexar Automotive "Repair" are.

Do not bring your car here .in the beginning there nice n stuff .they did alot of work on my car .got my eyes poked out .long story short told me I needed all these things come to find out I did not I wasted alot of my $$ being disabled woman on a fix income come on.i know my car needed some work but every time they were done with My car. they always told me I needed something else done .I didn't need am new ac in my car .I finally found a honest hard working mechanic that won't take advantage of me . GOOD Luck going here if you have your car there be careful. Make sure u have alot of money it s expensive.

Bottom line is these guys are great. I've brought in my daily driver truck for a few different issues ranging from glass damage to hub replacements and everything in between. They're always happy to explain whatever issues are going on. The work they do is great, their prices are well under the dealer prices, they're friendly, and they're fast. Do yourself a favor and call them when you need a mechanic!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! TOOK MY CAR TO GET A DIAGNOSTIC AND FIX THE PROBLEM. THE MECHANIC ASSURED ME THAT MY ALTENATOR WAS THE PROBLEM. SO I DECIDED TO GET IT FIXED THERE. MY ALTENATOR WAS NEVER THE PROBLEM. NOW $507 LATER AND MY CAR IS ACTUALLY WORSE THAN IT WAS BEFORE I WENT HERE. I WANT MY MONEY BACK SINCE WHATEVER WORK WAS DONE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL.

The owner and their team are amazing here. Very knowledgeable, professional and reasonably priced. Other places I’ve called around to were quoting me way more. They replaced my secondary air pump on my Mercedes C300. All my lights came off my and the vehicle has been driving amazing. I definitely recommend doing business here. I’ll be coming back in the future for sure!

Top Notch Guys!!!!! Devin & His Father took care of my Toyota Tacoma 2003. It had a bad body throttle & a bad TPS sensor. They helped me find good parts at good prices & replaced them in No Time. Too upset to comment , will not go back The age of the truck has nothing to do with it, you said it was the solenoid Pak due to it wasn't included in the replacement, and it would be 800 more, I spoke to other transmission shops and they say it is? Paid to get it checked and despite so much oil coming out on my driveway, it is still over, learned a expensive lesson
