The review is going to be nice and simple. I went in with transmission issues told them my second gear was gone and that I thought it was solenoid b for my car. I paid a good amount of money for diagnosis, I watched through the waiting room and they did the bare minimum. And gave me a quote over 3 thousand dollars to replace and rebuild everything for my transmission. I personally took my time, a novice mechanic and replace solenoid b on my transmission and it fixed all my issues. This transmission shop used to be great. But when times are tough and we are all struggling for money, they need to do better especially since I told them what I thought the issue was and I was correct.

I brought our 2005 Honda Odyssey in for a strange, low vibration noise it was having at highway speeds, and found out it needed a new transmission -- which it did. They did a good job on that, but the noise was still there, though much less so. So they spent quite a bit of time over the next few days doing various things, and after that the noise was even less, and everything's OK now. I expected another bill, but didn't get one. I'd recommend B&K. They aren't the speediest place around, but I guess that means they take the time to find out what's wrong and fix it correctly. They'll treat you right.

Referred to this business by our regular auto shop as we thought that we were having an issue with our Subarus transmission. We were able to make an appointment for the next day which was awesome. Upon arrival, we were greeted by, asked a few questions and left the car. A few hours later, they shared that it was a problem with a brake sensor and fixed it the same day for a great price. Highly recommend this place for any and all transmission needs! Honest and fast service. Thank you!

My recent experience with B&K left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. I brought my vehicle in for three distinct shifting and driving issues, yet the shop failed to recreate any of them, which I find utterly ridiculous. What baffles me even more is their lack of willingness to involve me in the diagnostic process. They didn't even offer to have me come in and demonstrate the problems, which could have easily helped in identifying the issues. Despite their inability to replicate the issues, I decided to proceed with a service after explicitly requesting that they drop the valve body and examine the solenoids. They assured me they would do so. However, upon receiving a call days later informing me that the service was completed and my car was ready for pick up, I inquired about the valve body inspection, only to be told that they hadn't done it. This blatant disregard for my explicit instructions and concerns is unacceptable. Frustrated with their incompetence, I once again explicitly requested the valve body inspection, only to be met with resistance. They refused to perform the inspection, citing potential further issues, which makes no sense to me. If there were potential issues, wouldn't it be prudent to address them now rather than wait for them to escalate? Furthermore, the miscommunication extended to their billing practices. Despite being told over the phone that the $125 diagnostic fee would go towards the cost of any service, they attempted to charge me for the fee, along with a service I only agreed to because it was necessary to access the valve body and solenoids. Their weak diagnostic process yielded no results, yet they still insisted on charging me for it. Overall, my experience with B&K was a complete waste of time and money. Their lack of communication, disregard for customer instructions, and questionable service quality leave much to be desired. I would strongly advise against trusting them with your vehicle and will be sharing my story with anyone who will listen.

This guys would not stop until things were right! I came in for a substantial leak in my TH350 transmission, and they were fair, honest and extremely communicative throughout the entire rebuild. When I brought it home, I noticed a small leak had returned, and it turns out that my case was saturated and they replaced it at cost. I'm blown away at the honesty, care and skillmanship at B and K. Wish all car shops were like this!

Fantastic shop. Brought my 01 Tacoma in for a clutch kit replacement. I came back after a month with some concerns and they happily buttoned up a few things and even performed some other repairs that I put off the last visit. Service writer Paul is helpful and most importantly for me, enthusiastic about older Toyota vehicles. Will be bringing my truck back for any further issues I have.

They rebuild the transmission on my child’s car, they did a fantastic job. They weren’t the cheapest around, but I know they did the job right and we should have many years of trouble free transmission.

No complaints really. Expensive transmission in my Truck, due to electronics inside plus parts arent a stock shelf item every where and so on, but I done my homework on all that so it wasn't a surprise After calling at least 15 shops throughout Tucson and only about four that would even touch my transmissiom most all of them said 5500+period! No considerations of maybe it could be a repair issue which I like to hear and b&k were one of two that said it could be a repair versus a rebuild. The other business is a national Business and they would not even give me a price range of an estimate until they put hands on my truck meaning they would take out whatever diagnose I assume and then get back with me with a price meaning probably much more and at that point somehow charge me for a reinstall or something of transmission if I rejected charges. It was good to know there was a possibility but I knew from what I had seen that it was a rebuild scenario so I didn't really push for information, also at this time financial burden had fallen upon me which hindered my sources to pay for repairs. Paul sent me info on a possible financing companies to help with the bill and I highly appreciate that and unfortunately weren't able to help me but through this time my truck was there for a lengthy amount due to my situation but in most cases I feel mechanics would have probably already cost me to have to pay more because of the time that the vehicle was there repaired and ready to be picked up but as far as I know nothing was tacked on to Bill and I never was pressured or harassed phone calls or text messages for payment of services rendered and so on. I felt like that when above and beyond my truck drives great actually much better than I remembered with a fresh transmission and I don't see me having any more issues with it from now until the end of life of truck or myself. They also went above and beyond with my battery's being at end of life themselves that I denied batteries that were offered from there stock and extra charges,because mine were warrantied and I dealt with it, so to get me at least out of there Paul went and had a used battery put in it at no charge to me and I returned the battery as soon as I got mine replaced. I feel like that was a big help and they went above and beyond and will always get a thumbs up from me and definite referrals.

Snowbirding in Tucson, we had to tow our trailer to the next site, but our transmission was acting up. No one in town could see us for at least a week. Paul at B&K said " bring it to the shop tomorrow morning, we'll take a look at it"". I expected to maybe have it diagnosed, but instead at 4 pm that same afternoon it was repaired and I was on my way again. I have worked in the mechanical trades my whole career and I know good service when I see it. Thanks everyone at B &K. Alan Kirkland
