However, these guys are now my GO TO mechanic shop. They work fast, have a good warranty & they have a good sense of humor! DEFINITELY THE GOOD GUYS!

HONESTY GOES A LONG WAY!!! I had been having issues with my jeep.. I have two batteries, and both died. I took it to a dealership to have them replaced. A couple weeks later, I had issues again. I took it to another mechanic who told me I needed a new alternator. I couldn’t wait on his timeline for the repair so I went to blue collar and they said they would fix it. They called me after I dropped it off and said the alternator was fine, and that the battery was not correctly bolted down. After resolving the battery they said the car ran great and they tested the alternator and it had no issues. Having them be HONEST with me saved me hundreds of dollars. They could have easily been dishonest and not told me the true root cause and profited. I felt so relieved that I took it to them and could trust them. The “good guys” is on their sign and they lived up to that motto! It’s so hard to find that in today’s world! I will be going to them from now on! THANK YOU GOOD GUYS!!!

I had a 2005 Mustang that had a sparkplug thread stuck in the head. We tried everything to get it out to no success. Called up here and within a week and half I got my car back with no issue and for an extremely great price. Would absolutely bring any car of mine here and will be doing so

I had engine replaced. my total was $600 less than original quote. when I was told about this I do believe they were as excited to tell me that wonderful news as I was to hear it! they did a fantastic job on work. they are now my forever mechanics!

My check engine light came on while in Louisville. I searched for the closest auto repair place. The first one had their door locked and would answer the phone. Blue Collar answered my phone call right away, check my car, and asked if I recently got gas. Yes, was my answer. Very quick diagnosis. Reset check engine light and I'm good. Great, honest service.

This shop is absolutely amazing. You don't see very many honest mechanics anymore let alone honest mechanic shops. Don't waste your time going elsewhere. Stop here first.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We had previously taken our car elsewhere and had work done, that didn’t fix the problem. That shop told us whatever was wrong with the vehicle could only be fixed by the Nissan dealership. Blue Collar was recommend to us for a second look, and we are so thankful we agreed. William was able to look at our car and fix what the other shop didn’t do correctly! It was a quick and easier fix than the other shop had told us. HIGHLY recommend!

HORRIBLE experience. Been dealing with Blue Collar for over two months now over the same problem. I gave them $1,600 to repair the car and it was still broken. Greg then sent my car to Chevy automotive twice without my permission where my car has sat and sat with no repair. He is refusing to give me my money back for the job I paid him for even though the job isn’t complete. Just spent 5 minutes getting screamed at and talked over on the phone. I can’t believe after two months of giving them my money and showing INCREDIBLE patience, this is the ultimate outcome. Biggest scam I have ever experienced.

These guys are fantastic. I live in the East End and was referred to them by a friend. They are very honest, hard-working guys and do the best to take care of you as much as possible without breaking the bank. I highly suggest if you need anything worked on that you go visit them! support local businesses!!

First time at this fine location. I tried to have my 2020 Chevy Blazer worked on at the Bachman dealership I bought it from; they had a $185.00 standard "diagnostic charge" before they would even START fixing the issue! We knew what needed to be done and told them, but that "charge" was non negotiable! We made the appointment with them almost a week earlier, and had to bring it in at 07:30. We had not heard from them by 14:30,(7 hours!), and after repeatedly calling for some kind of update, we were not able to get ahold of anyone! We drove back to the service center and we were told there were still 2 people ahead of us! We left immediately! Called Blue Collar and got an appointment the next day at 08:00. I brought the car in and Greg determined the issue by 08:30, and had it fixed by 10:00. The cost was $15.00 less than the dealership's "diagnostic charge". I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location, and the team of Greg & William. I will use them for ALL of my auto repair needs!

I came here for the first time after having major problems with another mechanic. Greg was extremely helpful and welcoming. He listened to my concern with my car. They immediately pulled it in the bay after 15-20 minutes (Greg also continued to keep me informed on what his technicians found). They’re very honest and upfront about what needs to be done. After an hour, my car was ready and i was good to go! I’d highly recommend coming here and I’ll continue to come here for any work I need on my car.

There are lots of mechanics out there, but Blue Collar Automotive Repair is in a class of its own. Greg and William and their Staff are the best in the business. They always know exactly what to do, and they’re a pleasure to deal with. Blue Collar is our go-to shop for all of our automotive needs, whether it’s company vehicles, personal vehicles, or cars that belong to our friends. The staff is great, too. ⚠️⚠️⚠️THE ONLY REASON IM EVEN WRITING THIS REVIEW IS BECAUSE REVIEWS ARE THE SOLE REASON I CHOSE TO USE THEIR SERVICES⚠️⚠️⚠️ This place obviously pays for good reviews bc there's no reason I dropped my car off because the timing had jumped and it costed me $1700. (Which I had absolutely no issues with anything during the first encounter-not the work, the price, or the amount of time it took them to fix the issue.) The day I picked it up which it only took them approximately 1 week to fix, before I got the car home the check engine light came on. I hooked up the diagnostic tool and it was throwing 3 totally different codes then when I took in there. So I called them and dropped it back off the next day and he said he would take a look at it and give me a call. TWO WHOLE WEEKS go by. ( I had another car to drive and figured it was something they had done and had to tear the car all the way back apart or something. I was EXTREMELY patient and trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.) When I called to check on it because I had heard NOTHING, he tells me, "oh that code is a transmission code and you will need to replace your transmission for that." I'm sorry but that is NOT good business.😡🤬 EDIT: ******⬆️⬆️ I WROTE THIS ⬆️⬆️****** BEFORE GOING TO PICK THE CAR UP!! ⚠️⚠️When I get there to pick the car up I leared that "Greg" was the mechanic who had done the work on the timing and he had already seen the review that I had written, (the 1st part of this review). He insisted on talking about the review but did not want to talk about WHY the car sat here for 2 weeks without a phone call when it took them less then a day to call the first time when they knew I would be paying $1700. All he could say was that they are busy. This whole encounter was unprofessional, and very frustrating. Not too mention it has to be the biggest coincidence of all that the car didn't start throwing these codes until the day I picked it up from getting the timing replaced 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I seldom post five star reviews, but in the case of Blue Collar Auto Repair I wish I could post a 10 star review! I had been given an estimate of $5000+ To repair some electronics and radiator fans in my aging Acura. It is a wonderful car and still has much life left in it, but $5000 for this repair was hard to justify since (at 16 years old and 173,000 miles) the car is not worth much more than that. Beyond that, the initial location had mentioned several other repairs they felt would need to be dealt with during the repair. I knew I would not be able to afford the additional items on top of the initial $5000 outlay. You can imagine the level of my disappointment since just four days prior I had spent $700 getting my brakes repaired there. I was ready to give up on it, cut my losses, and throw in the towel when a friend recommended Blue Collar Auto Repair based solely on their five star Google review. I called and spoke with Greg, who I later found out was an owner. He was so genuine and sincere and told me he would be happy to give me an estimate and take a look. I was there within 30 minutes and he did exactly what he said. He treated me as if I were their only customer, which was definitely NOT true since the parking lot was packed with cars either waiting to be repaired, or waiting to be picked up. His business was obviously booming. He took a look, found parts, and delivered the news that the repair would not be cheap, but would be far less than HALF of what I had been quoted elsewhere. He scheduled an appointment for the next day when the part I needed would arrive. When I got to the shop for my repair, they took the car back immediately and completed the necessary work. They also looked at the other items the initial shop had told me would likely need to be urgently fixed. They gave me honest answers about what did and did not need to be repaired along with recommendations of my most cost-effective next steps. I was in and out in less time than they had quoted with a car that runs better than it has in years. It was interesting to me to watch the stream of cars from gorgeous antiques to new models running through the repair shop quickly and efficiently. These people know how to fix everything! I left with a warranty on my repair - Something I never even knew existed! Having left this lengthy review, I looked back at it and realize I could’ve just said, “After one visit to Blue Collar Auto Repair my family and I will never be taking our cars anywhere else!” Thanks Greg! Just had the best automotive repair experience. I have a junker of vehicle better known as an "Airporter" that I use when in Louisville, KY. The car is in fine mechanical condition (215,000+Miles) but has seen better times in regard to its exterior. My car recently developed and exhaust issue with the fuel tank protective shield shearing a bolt and resting on top of the exhaust pipe resulting in a very loud, undriveable vibration. I took the car to Blue Collar Automotive where it was diagnosed with a sheared bolt which they replaced in 5 minutes and sent me on my way refusing to take compensation for their efforts. WOW, my car was prioritized, quickly repair with smiles and great conversation. Most of all was my appreciation for the neighborly attitude from the entire staff. Thank you. I recommend Blue Collar for all the right reasons but mostly the customer experience when I was in need of an urgent automotive repair. Thank you! Blue Collar, and I will be back ! Sincerely...

Only car shop around where I know I can fully trust their opinions and to work on my car. From brakes, to oil change, and major repairs. They are very reliable and know their stuff! Worth driving the 30-40 minutes from Indiana.

I'm new to Kentucky so it was important to me to find a mechanic that was going to do right by me, and let me tell you I have found my guys!!! William and Greg are just the nicest the customer service was amazing. and I literally got my car fixed in less than 24 hours... now I was blessed I didn't have a lot wrong with my car so if yours is longer than that don't get upset my point to that was that they're very efficient. if you're looking for a great mechanic I-10 out of 10 recommend this shop!!

They get down to every possible thing that could be wrong. They will get you together the same day. Not expensive. If they can't do the work, they refer you to people who will. Very nice people. Best place I've ever taken my car to.

In town for work. Good price. Called about 5 other places, price shopping, they had the lowest prices. Dudes were cool. Very clean waiting area, I had my puppy with me they had a doggy bowl for water. Id go back if I need any work. Thumbs up

These guys are awesome. Top notch work. Fast turnaround and very thorough. The mechanic even took time to remove a dent that was on the side of my truck. You just don’t find shops these days that actually care. I highly recommend this shop. I look forward to doing business with again for future maintenance. Thanks again
