Bob has saved me (and my truck) TWICE! The first time was on Labor Day, the second time was after 7 pm. BOTH times, Bob canceled everything and worked non stop to get us back in the road because we were stranded 4- hours from home! He is very friendly, very knowledgeable and he goes above and beyond. This last time he fixed my truck when two dreamers and 2 diesel mechanics were telling me my truck was "toast" and would require $5,000 of parts to replace the entire fuel system. Bob used old-school know-how to save my engine and the truck is back to 100%. The mechanic industry could learn a thing or two from this man!

Bob was the most friendly, honest man i could have hoped to run across to fix my truck. Saved my life when my truck broke down 4 hours from home while camping. He made me priority so i could get home safely, and he went above and beyond and repaired more than i asked for and for an unmatched price and made great time on everything. I highly recommend this shop over any others in the area. 10/10 experience. THANK YOU BOB!

My fiancé and I were heading up to Mackinac Island for a weekend away when our car broke down maybe 15 minutes away from this shop. We called plenty of other mechanics and we were shut down, but as soon as we called Bob Proctors we were not only met with kindness and understanding but he also told us he had no problem waiting for us. He gave us directions for the fastest/safest route towards his shop and he also gave us recommendations on a good towing company to use when we unfortunately broke down. When we finally arrived to shop we were embraced by a welcoming environment and if it wasn’t for the part we needed not being in the local area, he would have had us on the road that day! Him and his family gave us excellent hospitality and even drove us to the rental car company so that we could enjoy our weekend. Their kindness led to a great vacation for us with only a minor delay! We were able to enjoy our time and even celebrate our engagement. He even gave us such fair pricing and quick results! I would recommend anyone in need of a mechanic to make your way here!!

We love Bob !!! He was so helpful and a great mechanic to go to. We needed a car fixed asap and he got us right in! Thanks to him we didn’t miss our vacation. On top of that he doesn’t take advantage of people and is straightforward about what’s going on with your vehicle. They are good people and trustworthy. We are so happy we found him and he will be the only mechanic we go to for future car maintenance.

Shredded a serpentine belt on a trashed idler on highway 75. Got a hold of Bob to see if he could do it. We were 90 minutes from home and it was already 4:30. We got our FJ over to him, he assessed the issue, got the parts and had us back on the road in 2 hours. Thanks Bob!!

If you're looking for an HONEST mechanic that's KNOWLEDGEABLE and fair on pricing, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!! I travel for work and am new to the Gaylord area. Noticed my car was leaking and took it to Bob's. Turns out it was the water pump. He explained to me everything that was going on every step of the way. Any other shop probably would have tried to take advantage of me because I'm new here and I'm a woman. But instead Bob educated me. I got answers to all my questions, a crash course on light maintenance and a good laugh. They got me back on the road in no time and I didn't have to take off work. I am forever grateful. These guys are amazing!!! 10 stars!!! Woman approved!!!

Such a great experience with Bob. My engine was damaged past the point of repair, Bob was very straight forward and honest about what needed to be done and he probably wouldn’t be the one to do it. As a young guy with little to no car knowledge, he walked me through some diagrams to make sure I understood what was happening.

Super friendly! Highly recommended this auto shop. If you want a great, HONEST and high quality work done on any vehicle they are the place to go. I personally have had them work on numerous vehicles, some due to bad purchases on my part. They have never tried to upsell or be dishonest even when the vehicle was not safe to drive. I trust them to get the job done in a timely manor and keep my family safe while keeping our vehicles on the road. We will continue using this shop for many many years to come.

If Bob doesn't do the service or have the equipment to fix something he'll steer you to who does. He doesn't leave you hanging. If he's fixing it he'll show you what he's doing. Local business owned and operated by community member. Always happy to support local.
